CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Janet P. "Priscilla" Myers, 75, a resident of ManorCare Health Center in Chambersburg, and formerly of 219 E. Franklin St., Greencastle, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, at the nursing home.
Born Sept. 26, 1923, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late William and Nola B. Hollinger McDonald.
Her husband, David J. "Duck" Myers, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1978.
She was a homemaker. Early in life, she worked at Interwoven Hosiery Factory and Windsor Shoe Co., both of Greencastle.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy M. Stine of Greencastle; one son, William D. Myers of Chambersburg; and one granddaughter, Amy Stine of Greencastle.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle. The Rev. David Armstrong will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Greencastle
There will be no viewing; however the family will receive friends at the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

Oliver G. Fahnestock
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Oliver G. Fahnestock, 80, a resident at ManorCare Health Services, and formerly of 827 South Fourth Street, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at ManorCare.
Born Jan. 10, 1910, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Edward and Carrie Fennell Fahnestock.

He was retired from the former Chambersburg Light Plant after 26 years. He and his brother owned and operated the former Fahnestock Bros. Paint and Music Store, Chambersburg, for 16 years. He was also employed with Coachman's Bus Lines, Chambersburg, as a manager.
He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church, Chambersburg, where he served in various capacities, including Sunday School teacher, deacon and CA Youth Leader.
He was a member of Chambersburg Rod and Gun Club; life member of Cumberland Valley Fire and Hose Company; Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Bugle Corps, and Chambersburg YMCA. He was an accomplished musician and played in several local bands, performing at the former Rosedale Theater in Chambersburg.
He is survived by one daughter, Shirley May Fahnestock Shoop of Chambersburg; one son, Jonathan Leroy Fahnestock of Petersburg, Tenn.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Catherine Roberts, and two brothers, Harold Fahnestock and Raymond Fahnestock.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Elmer T. Kipe will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Louise H. Leaman
ZULLINGER, Pa. - Louise H. Reese Leaman, 81, of Zullinger, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa.
Born Feb. 15, 1917, in Lancaster, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Amos and Louisa Stankee Reese.
She and her husband owned and operated Leaman's Seed Store, Waynesboro, Pa., until 1966. They built and operated Leaman's Garden Center, Leitersburg, for several years. She was also employed by Boone Buses as an aide on a special education school bus from 1975 to 1983.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda L. Stevenson of Waynesboro; one son, Stephen J. Leaman of Owings Mills, Md.; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Doris McCrea; one sister, Doris Garret and one brother, Dale Reese.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
There will be no public viewing.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.

Marjorie V. Hurd
FORT LITTLETON, Pa. - Marjorie V. Born Feb. 21, 1916, in Burnt Cabins, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Roy C. and Hattie Hampton North.
She was employed at Waynesboro Laundry and at various local restaurants. She retired in 1981 from Waynesboro Hospital, where she worked in medical records.
She was a member of Burnt Cabins United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Doris C. Bowie of Westminster, Md.; four sons, Robert L. Schildt of Washington, D.C., Edwin E. Schildt and Kenneth R. Hurd, both of Waynesboro, Pa., and Dennis L. Hurd of Greencastle; two sisters, Hazel Carbaugh of St. Thomas, Pa., and Betty Shotts of Waterfall, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, one infant sister, two brothers and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad Street, Waynesboro. The Rev. Rob Slone will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Hugh E. Gunder, Sr.
WAYNESBORO. Pa. - Hugh E. Gunder Sr., 91, of 7941 Mentzer Gap Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, in Washington County Hospital.
Born May 29, 1907, in Quincy Township, Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late Edward and Clara Susan Mentzer Gunder.
He was employed by South Mountain Restoration Center as a mechanic and welder, retiring in 1970. Following his retirement, he worked as a machinist for D. L. Martin, Mercersburg, Pa. He also worked for Waynesboro Knitting Mill and Frick Co., both of Waynesboro; Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg; Westinghouse Electric, Philadelphia; Fairchild Aircraft Manufacturing, Hagerstown; and at Ravenna Arsenal as a machinist.
He served on the Democratic Committee for Quincy Township for several years and was a former tax assessor for Quincy Township.
He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Brethren in Christ Church, Greencastle.
He is survived by his wife, Helen I. Hoffman Gunder, whom he married
in 1952; one daughter, Lois L. Shifflett of Waynesboro; one son, Hugh E. Gunder, Jr. of Waynesboro; one stepdaughter, Joyce M. Dewease of New Oxford, Pa.; three grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family.
He was preceded in death by eight sisters and brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. James C. Mack will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery near Quincy.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Kenneth L. Gibble will officiate. Burial will be in Brown's Mill Cemetery, Kauffmans Station, Pa.
There will be no public viewing.
