CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Grace R. Gillespie, 87, of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and formerly of 111 E. Born Jan. 5, 1912, in Shippensburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Willis E. and Carrie M. Shumberger Hershey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Garnet D. Gillespie.
She was a 1930 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School, Mechanicsburg, Pa.
She was the manager of the former Red Carpet Gift Shop at Southgate Shopping Center, Chambersburg.
She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, Chambersburg.
She was active with various church activities.
She is survived by a sister, C. Elizabeth Keefer of Windsor, Colo.
She was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Paul Carbaugh.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. C. Edward Morgan will officiate. Burial will be in Trindle Spring Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, Pa.
Visitation will be Monday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
The family requests the omission of flowers.
Memorial donations may be made to Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 201 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Bruce W. Files
LEVITTOWN, Pa. - Bruce W. Files, 68, of Levittown and formerly of Hagerstown, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, Dec. 12, 1998, at his home.
Born in Bedington, W.Va., he was the son of the late Claude and Mildred Jacobs Files Racey.
He was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean and Vietnam wars.
He later worked for the Falls Township School District in Pennsylvania.
He was a member of Emilie United Methodist Church of Levittown.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Files; three daughters all of Fayetteville, N.C.; a son of Fayetteville; a brother, Lesie T. Files of Hagerstown; five sisters, Betty Lou Malott of Kearneysville, W.Va., Geraldine Zearfoss and Bernadine Stambaugh, both of York, Pa., Sarah Lee Muth of Gaithersburg, Md., and Georgia Mae Perkins of Woodsboro, Md.; two stepdaughters, Betty Rogers of Philadelphia and Lynda Roberts of Bristol, Pa.; a stepson, Richard Jennings of California; grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Raymond G. Racey; and a brother, Leroy F. Files.
Burial was in Bucks County, Pa., at Rosedale Memorial Park.
Arrangements were by Cremation Society of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, Pa.
Naomi M. Grove
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Naomi M. Born Dec. 12, 1917, in Enola, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Menno and Lillian Pearl Rhodes Sharp.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sheldon W. Grove, in 1982.
She was a homemaker.
She attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Chambersburg.
She is survived by a son, Michael S. Grove of Waynesboro, Pa.; a daughter, Katy E. Grove Howell of Waynesboro; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Stephen D. Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
There will be no viewing. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.

Erma V. Frew
GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Erma V. Frew, 79, of 144 Seminary Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at Gettysburg Hospital, Gettysburg.
Born March 20, 1919, in Salisbury, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Cyrus and Eva Eash Thomas.
Her husband, Francis F. "Buzz" Frew, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1986.
She was employed by W.T. Grant Store in Gettysburg for many years, and by Herff Jones Yearbooks until her retirement.
She is survived by one daughter, Dolores F. Jordan of Gettysburg; one son, Ronald R. Frew of Hagerstown; five sisters, Dora Sanders, Susan Knox and Eva Shealer, all of Gettysburg, and Florence Foulk and Ann McCurdy, both of Columbia, Md.; one brother, Cyrus Thomas of Wilmington, Del.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg. The Rev. Ivan R. Mechtly Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday one hour prior to the service.
Samuel A. Gayman
ST. THOMAS, Pa. - Samuel A. Gayman, 87, of 1145 Pioneer Drive, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at his home.
Born Aug. 9, 1911, in Pleasant Hall, Pa., he was the son of the late Jacob R. and Catharine Hoover Gayman.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Mabel Zullinger Gayman, in 1950.
He was a farmer.
He was a member of Old Order of River Brethren.
He is survived by his wife, Mary C. Wenger Gayman, whom he married
June 29, 1979; four daughters, Joanne Lehner, Ruby A. Burkholder and Viola Meyers, all of Chambersburg, Pa., and Jane Myers of St. Thomas; a sister, Catharine Wenger of Pleasant Hall; 15 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Niswander and Ruth Meyers; four brothers, Roy Gayman, Harry Gayman, John Gayman and Amos Gayman; and a great-grandson.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Salem United Brethren Church, Chambersburg. Eldon Heckman and Joseph Conley will officiate. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery, Orrstown, Pa.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Inc., 6492 Lincoln Way West, St. Thomas; and Monday one hour prior to the services at the church. For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will be open Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m.
