Born Jan. 22, 1914, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late George and Lucy Sanders Rickrode.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne L. Hoover, in 1980.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg.
She was a member of Legion of Mary and Columbian Ladies.
She is survived by a daughter, Joanne Fegan of Chambersburg; a son, Ronald Hoover of Tampa, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne J. Hoover; and three brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg. The Rev. Daniel F. Lawler will be celebrant. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation and rosary recitation will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201; or to a charity of one's choice.
Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.

Born Jan. 17, 1909, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late G.G. and Mary A. Hammond Stratton.
She was a 1926 graduate of Chambersburg High School.
She had been employed in the finance department of Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, retiring in 1973 after 30 years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Chambersburg; Royal Daughters Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women. She also had been financial secretary at the church.
She was a member of Franklin County Sunday School Association; Chambersburg Hospital Auxiliary; National Association of Retired Federal Employees; American Association of Retired Persons; and Chambersburg Women's Club.
She is survived by her cousin, Louise Janson of California.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Donald C. Nolder will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 225 S. Second St., Chambersburg, PA 17201; or to Chambersburg Hospital Auxiliary, 112 N. Seventh St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Born April 25, 1912, in Greene Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Israel S. and Fannie Frey Wingert.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Fannie Slick of Chambersburg and Joan Elizabeth Rutt of Lancaster, Pa.; a son, Ethelbert I. Byers of Chambersburg; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church, 465 Center St., Chambersburg. The Rev. Kevin Witter will officiate. Burial will be in Air Hill Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be held at the church Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Howard D. Hale Jr.
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Retired Sergeant 1st Class Howard D. Hale Jr., 64, of 30 E. Second St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died of heart failure Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at his home.
Born Jan. 26, 1934, in Cleveland, he was the son of the late Howard D. Hale Sr. and Helen Walker Hale.
He graduated from high school while living in Ohio.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and the Vietnam War, retiring after 20 years of service.
He later worked for Montgomery Ward for 27 years, first in Baltimore and then in the Williamsport office as a service technician.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene F. Cwalinski Hale, whom he married
Sept. 27, 1961; five daughters, Deborah Hale, Nancy Hale-Byron and Jackie Hale, all of Waynesboro, Betty Hutton of St. Thomas, Pa., and Arlene Hale of Chambersburg, Pa.; and grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown. Military graveside services will be by members of Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Honor Guard of Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family in care of Arlene F. Hale, 30 E. Second St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
Mary I. Miller
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Mary I. Rock Miller, 93, a resident of Piney Mountain, and formerly of 11380 N. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Miller, in 1995. They were married
April 18, 1925.
She was employed by Waynesboro Knitting Mill as a folder and inspector for 45 years. Prior to retiring in 1967, she worked as a clerk at Dry Cleaners in Waynesboro.
She was a member of Otterbein United Brethren in Christ Church, Waynesboro, was a member of Fidelis Sunday School Class and taught Sunday School in the junior department.
She is survived by a son, Max E. Miller of Waynesboro; two daughters, Katharine M. Biesecker and Dorothy M. Bollinger, both of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah P. Whitmore and Rhoda R. Dengler; and a brother, Samuel E. Rock.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Pastor Don Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
