He was a budget analyst for the U.S. Government.
He was a member of American Legion Post 46; Am vets Post 224; BPOE Elks Post 600; VFW Post 1599; Green Township Lions Club; AARP Chapter 2287; Lutheran Brotherhood Service Club, Treasurer Branch 8090; NARFE Chapter 1063; and a volunteer at Chambersburg Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Katharine Gabler; a daughter, Linda D. Zeigler of Chambersburg; a son, John R. Gabler of Etters, Pa.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Chambersburg. The Rev. Neil O. Hively will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 26 Commerce St., Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.
Arrangements are by Cremation Society of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg, Pa.
M. Grier Goodhart
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - M. Born April 8, 1916, in Centerville, Pa., he was the son of the late Marion L. and Julia A. Hile Goodhart.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Esther A. Cope Goodhart, in 1988.
He was a 1934 graduate of Shippensburg High School, Shippensburg, Pa.
He retired after 28 years from Buckeye Pipeline Co. Prior to working for Buckeye Pipeline Co., he had been employed for 17 years in the Pittsburgh area by the former Standard Oil Co. of New Jersey.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Chambersburg.
He was a member of Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons of Ohio 204, East Palestine, Ohio; Grand Lodge 565 F & AM, Ohio, of which he was past master in 1946; Anna Eckley Chapter 392 Order of Eastern Star of Ohio; and AARP.
He is survived by three daughters, Margaret Graper of Newark, Del., Elaine Bruce of Frederick, Md., and Marilyn Graper of Houston; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ, 1811 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg. The Rev. Jeffrey R. Roth will officiate. Burial will be in Centerville Memorial Park, Centerville.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. A Masonic service will be conducted by members of George Washington Lodge 143 F & AM at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

John B. Stahle
McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - John Burhman Stahle, 75, a resident of the Extended Care Unit of the Fulton County (Pa.) Medical Center and formerly a resident of Buck Valley, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998, at the unit.
Born Oct. 7, 1923, in Buck Valley, he was the son of the late Charles D. and Ethel V. Covin Stahle.
He was a member of Amaranth Church of the Brethren, Warfordsburg, Pa.
He is survived by two brothers, James G. Stahle of Hancock and Herbert Gene Stahle of Needmore, Pa.; two nieces; and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Charles N. Stahle.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Buck Valley Methodist Church. The Rev. Frank Teeter will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining Buck Valley Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock; and Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church. The funeral home will be open Friday from 1 to 9 p.m.
Herman D. Snyder
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Herman David "Bubby" Snyder, 69, of Waynesboro, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1998, in Baltimore.
Born Feb. 26, 1929, in Uniontown, Md., he was the son of the late Herman Marshall and Grace Mary Snyder.
He attended schools in the Mount Airy, Md., area.
He owned and operated Snyder's Amusements.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Snyder; a daughter, Candace Jean Snyder of Falling Waters, W.Va.; two sons, David Lee Snyder and Donald Perry Snyder, both of Greencastle, Pa.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Olin Molesworth Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, Md. Burial will be in Linden Hills Cemetery, Frederick, Md.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Visitation also will be Friday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Wilda M. Baker
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Wilda M. Warren Baker, 85, of 4688 Old Forge Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.
Born March 7, 1913, in Wenksville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Edna Mae Kane Warren.
She attended school in the Wenksville area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde R. Baker, in 1977. They were married
in July 18, 1931.
She was first employed prior to her marriage at Mont Alto State Sanatorium, now South Mountain Restoration Center. She did seasonal work for Musselman's in Biglerville, Pa., and later was a press operator for Stanley Clothing Co., also in Biglerville. She retired in 1975 from the laundry department at South Mountain Restoration Center.
She is survived by six sons, Donald E. Baker of Arendtsville, Pa., Marvin K. Baker of Absecon, N.J., Charles E. Baker, Leon R. Baker, Terry C. Baker and Roger L. Baker, all of South Mountain, Pa.; five sisters, Annie Beamer of Biglerville, Till Wagaman of Aspers, Pa., Myrtle Taylor of Biglerville, Ruby Heller of Gardners, Jean Butler of Aspers; a brother, Fred Warren of Biglerville; 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Cleo Helman, Eva Taylor, Nora Kuhn, Nellie Showers and Marge Warren; and two brothers, Edgar Warren and Clayton Warren.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at South Mountain Bible Church in South Mountain, Pa. The Rev. David L. Keener will officiate. Burial will be in Strangs Cemetery at South Mountain.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, Pa.

He was employed by General Motors Acceptance Corp. in Pittsburgh, Altoona, Pa. and also in Maryland.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Martinsburg, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret E. Summers, whom he married
Oct. 29, 1966; two daughters, Kimberly Horton Moyer of Valencia, Pa., and Beth Horton of State College, Pa.; and sisters and brothers, Evan Horton of Huntingdon, Ray Horton of South Korea, Diane Pick of Olney, Md., and Jack Horton of Three Springs, Pa.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at M. R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown, Pa. Pastor Jim MacQuarrie will officiate. Burial will be in Cherry Grove Cemetery, Three Springs.
Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
