WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Mary C. Kyler Wildeson, 85, of 4460 Manheim Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Oct. 29, 1998, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.
Born Feb. 16, 1913, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Frank B. and Mary Grace Wells Kyler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Fisher Wildeson, in July 1997. They were married
Sept. 25, 1935.
She was a homemaker; and was involved in farming with her husband for many years.
She was a member of Solomon's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Grindstone Hill, Chambersburg, and the Ladies Sunday School Class.
She is survived by four sons, Donald E. Wildeson of Chambersburg, Robert L. Wildeson, Carroll R. Wildeson and Richard L. Wildeson, all of Waynesboro; two sisters, Matilda Isenberger of Carlisle, Pa., and Eleanor Mae Smith of Quincy, Pa.; a brother, James Kyler of Chambersburg; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Miller-Grove Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St., Greencastle, Pa. The Rev. Michael E. Allwein and Elder Donald L. Hess will officiate. Burial will be in Grindstone Hill Cemetery, Guilford Township, Pa.
The family will receive friends Sunday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Kenneth R. Shaffer
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Kenneth R. Shaffer, 49, of 2324 Community Center Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998, at Harrisburg (Pa.) Hospital.
Born March 27, 1949, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Joseph M. and Beulah M. Bumbaugh Shaffer.
He was employed as an assembler by JLG in McConnellsburg, Pa.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Burt J. Asper American Legion Post 46 and the Marine Corps League, both in Chambersburg, and Path Valley Racing Association in Path Valley, Pa.
He is survived by two sons, Dirk M. Shaffer of St. Thomas, Pa., and Darren C. Shaffer of Charlotte, N.C.; four sisters, Maria Moats of Waynesboro, Pa., Leah Kipe and Sis Yeager, both of Chambersburg, and Donna Kay Hobbs of Marion, Pa.; 10 brothers, John Shaffer of Mont Alto, Pa., David Shaffer, Richard Shaffer and John Dupont, all of Waynesboro, Joe Shaffer of Fayetteville, Pa., Ralph Shaffer, Roger Shaffer and Daniel Shaffer, all of Chambersburg, Donald Shaffer of Pond Bank, Pa. and Max Dupont of Quincy, Pa.; his companion, Ruth I. Kuhn of Chambersburg; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Barbie Shaffer; and one brother, Gary Shaffer.
Services will be held today at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Samuel Sollenberger will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery in St. Thomas.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home today one hour prior to the service.
Mildred I. Sharer
FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa. - Mildred I. Sharer, 79, of 312 Wilson Drive, and formerly of Ray Street, Hagerstown, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998, at her home.
Born Nov. 26, 1918, in Mobile, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Edward Alfred Sr. and Jewell Mae Shull Waters.

She was a retired civil service worker.

She is survived by one daughter, Delores I. Shaw of Levittown, Pa.; one son, Curtis M. Sharer of Greensboro, Md.; one sister, Dorothy Warron of Mobile; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 218 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, with the Rev. George A. Limmer as celebrant. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 E. Antietam St., Hagerstown.
Mildred W. Wygant
NEW CASTLE, Pa. - Mildred Wiedmayer Wygant, 97, of New Castle, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998, at the home of her daughter in Shepherdstown, W.Va.
She was born in 1901 in Salem, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Lynn A. Wygant, in 1969. They were married
in 1923.
She graduated from Kent Normal, now Kent State University, earning an Elementary Teaching Degree in 1920.
After college, she taught at the elementary school in Leetonia, Ohio for a number of years.
She enjoyed a professional basketball career during that sport's formative years, playing for a Cleveland-based team during the time she was in college and then teaching.
She was not only a life member of P.E.O. Sisterhood; Order of RainBow for Girls; Order of Eastern Star; St. John's Lutheran Church; and Lawrence County Garden Club, but also, served each of these at times over the years in various leadership roles. She also was a volunteer with the American Red Cross from the start of World War II until 1961; and served voluntarily for Contact E.A.R.S.
Her relaxation was bridge or extensive travel throughout the U.S.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Dial, Louise Cox and Elyce Schmidt; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.
A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Highland Avenue, New Castle.
Memorial donations may be made to New Castle Public Library, 207 E. North St., New Castle, Pa. 16101; or St. John's Lutheran Church of New Castle, 2601 Highland Ave., New Castle, Pa. 16101.

Eleanora K. Regi

Born Nov. 12, 1912, in Licking Creek Township, Fulton County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Thurman and Annie Pine Strait.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ned Knepper, in 1983.
She was a member of Knobsville Church of the Brethren, McConnellsburg, Pa.
She is survived by her husband, Merrill Regi, of Fort Littleton, Pa.; one daughter, Delores Purnell of Wells Tannery; three sons, Ellis Knepper of Waterfall, Pa., Terry Knepper of California and Anthony Knepper of Erie, Pa.; three sisters, Ethel Lake of Harrisonville, Pa., Dorothy Seiders of Fayetteville, Pa., and Edna Prisbey of New Jersey; four brothers, Paul Strait of Windber, Pa., Leslie Strait and John Strait, both of McConnellsburg, and Dallas Strait of Greencastle, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Doney; three brothers; one grandson and one great-grandson.
A memorial service for family and friends will be Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. at Knobsville Church of the Brethren, McConnellsburg.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Center Cemetery, Waterfall. Pastor Chris Elliott will officiate.
There will be no public viewing or visitation.
