CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Christine J. Rohrer, 23, of 391 Elder St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1998, at her home.
Born Jan. 23, 1975, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of Henry L. and Barbara J. Biesecker Beckner of Chambersburg.
She was a 1993 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School and Franklin County Vocational-Technical School, Chambersburg.
She had been employed with Ausherman Brothers in Chambersburg since 1993.
She attended Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church, where she was active in Women's Volleyball and the Tent Makers Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Travis E. Rohrer, whom she married
May 31, 1997; a sister, Twilla J. Garber of Chambersburg; four brothers, Gerald H. Beckner and James B. Beckner, both of Chambersburg, David R. Beckner of Myersville, Md., and Bradley C. Beckner of Waynesboro; maternal grandparents, C. Roy and Emma Benedict Biesecker of Waynesboro; paternal grandmother, Rosa Jamison Beckner of Roanoke, Va.; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen E. Beckner.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church, 465 Center St., Chambersburg. The Rev. Kevin Witter and the Rev. David A. Erisman will officiate. Burial will be in Hades Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg; and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
The family requests the omission of flowers.

Samuel H. Sheller
MARION, Pa. - Samuel H. Sheller, 103, of 390 Colorado St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, at Penn Hall Nursing Center, Chambersburg, Pa.
Born June 20, 1895, in Marion, he was the son of the late D. Alfred and Margaret Hess Sheller.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Ryder Sheller, in 1995. They were married
April 20, 1937.
He was a graduate of the former Keystone Business College in Chambersburg.
He wrote and published a book on the history of Marion entitled, "Marion Then and Now."
He, along with his wife, were independent insurance agents, operating the former S.H. Sheller Insurance Agency from 1935 until 1980, when he retired. He also had been a partner with his brother, D. Hege Sheller in operating Marion Supply Co. from 1938 to 1958.
He was a 69-year member of Heidelberg United Church of Christ in Marion.
He was the oldest member of Mount Pisgah Masonic Lodge 443 F&AM of Greencastle, having been a member for 71 years.
On his 100th birthday, he received a certificate of acknowledgement of his century celebration by Right Worshipful Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. Also for his 100th birthday, he was presented the key to the town of Marion.
He was a charter member of Marion Volunteer Fire Co. and served as the secretary of the Marion Fireman's Relief Association from 1968 to 1981. He also served as secretary of Guilford Township School Board from 1959 to 1966.
He was an inventor and had several patents on fruit packing machinery. Until this last general election, he had voted in every general election since 1916, when he was 21.
He is survived by a daughter, Helen S. Wingert of Marion; a son, Linn R. Sheller of Parkesburg, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frederick Hess Sheller and D. Hege Sheller.
Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Heidelberg United Church of Christ, 166 Colorado St., Marion. Pastor John Toms and Pastor Donald Moul will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle; and Monday one hour prior to the services at the church. Mount Pisgah Masonic Lodge will hold a Masonic memorial service at 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Heidelberg United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 381, Marion, Pa. 17235.
Elizabeth M. Schanzenbacher
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Elizabeth M. Schanzenbacher, 87, a resident of Caledonia Manor Nursing Home and formerly of Germany and Greencastle, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Nov. 6, 1998, at the nursing home.
Born Sept. 3, 1911, in Oberschwatzach, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Elisa Zimmerman Engert.
She had retired after more than 20 years of employment with Corning Glass Works of Greencastle.
She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Greencastle.
She was a member of Waynesboro YMCA; and Greencastle AARP Chapter 3025.
She was an avid gardener.
She is survived by a son, Gunter Schanzenbacher of Greencastle; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Wilhelm L. Schanzenbacher, in 1986; a sister; and a brother.
A memorial service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle. The Rev. Donald Reese will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
There will be no viewing; but, the family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family requests the omission of flowers.

Donald M. Fischer
CRYSTAL SPRING, Pa. - Donald M. Fischer, 65, of Crystal Spring, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, at his home.
Born March 28, 1933, in Amaranth, Pa., he was the son of the late George and Nora Garland Fischer.
He was first employed at the age of 16 at L.R. Smith's Sawmill. Later, he drove a truck for Earl Jackson before being called to serve with the U.S. Army Berlin Crisis, where he was ranked an expert marksman.
After returning home, he worked for K.C. Richards, then seven years for P.D.H. He was then employed by Pennsylvania Turnpike before going to B&P Trucking Co., where he worked as a mechanic for 12 years, until it closed. He then was self-employed as a truck driver, until being offered a position with the Bureau of Forestry; and later PennDOT, where he retired in August, 1996.
He was a Christian.
He was a charter member of Breezewood VFW; and an avid sportsman and hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanora Duvall, whom he married
Aug. 26, 1953; a daughter, Nora; six sons, Donald Jr., Daniel, David, Dwight, Duane and Dean; a sister, Emma; four brothers, Webster, Roy, Paul T. and George Jr.; 10 grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Twila; and two brothers, Robert and William.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Sipes Funeral Home, Harrisonville. Burial will be in Everett Cemetery. Military graveside service will be conducted by Everett Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Nora M. Kane
LIGONIER, Pa. - Nora M. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis M. Kane, in 1995.
She was co-owner of the Mercersburg Journal for many years, retiring in 1973.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Mercersburg, as well as King's Daughters Sunday School Class.
She was a life member of Mercersburg Woman's Club; and a member and former director of Mercersburg Library Association.
She is survived by four nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Michael R. Brendle will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Monday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
