CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Vera P. Harrison, 97, of Shook Home, and formerly of St. Thomas, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, Nov. 16, 1998, at Shook Home for the Aged.
Born Jan. 15, 1901, in Fannettsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles C.C. and Mary Walters Shultz.
Her husband of 70 years, Norman C. Harrison, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1993.
She was a member of the first class to graduate from St. Thomas Township High School in 1919. She attended Shippensburg Normal School.
She was an elementary school teacher at St. Thomas Elementary School, and then a special education teacher at James Buchanan.
She was a member of United Methodist Church of St. Thomas, and taught Sunday school for 70 years. She was active in United Methodist Womens Club and other church ministries. She taught Bible Release Time.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Rohrbacher of Spencerport, N.Y., and Margie Hege of Chambersburg; one son, Norman C. Harrison Jr. of New Bloomfield, Pa.; seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at United Methodist Church of St. Thomas. The Rev. Paul Crawford will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg,

Oscar O. Monn
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Oscar O. "Dutch" Monn, 85, of 11 E. Main St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, at Piney Mountain Nursing Home, Fayetteville, Pa.
Born March 30, 1913, in Quincy Township, Pa., he was the son of the late Harrison H. and Hattie Hoffman Monn.
He worked as a farmer and orchard worker on what was the Frank N. Miller farm and then Green Ridge Farm; He then was greenskeeper at Waynesboro Country Club, retiring in 1987.
He was a member of Order of the Owls Nest 1073, Waynesboro; Franklin County Fireman's Association; National AARP; and a life member of ATH & L Fire Co., Waynesboro.
He is survived by his wife of more than 61 years, Kathryn N. Miller Monn; two daughters, Carolyn M. Miller of Mount Joy, Pa., and Vonnie L. Ashway of Waynesboro; seven sisters, Bessie Brown of Piney Mountain, Fayetteville, Anne Cole, Mary Moats, Martha Brown and Hazel Stouffer, all of Waynesboro, Elenora Singleton of Burtonville, Md., and Pauline Nagle of Fairfield, Pa.; four brothers, Clarence Monn of Gettysburg, Pa., Robert Monn of Fairfield, Frank Monn of Mont Alto, Pa. and Earl Monn of Rouzerville, Pa.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lena Kauffman; and a brother, George Monn.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Walter A. Stuart will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Janet L. Rosenberry
ORRSTOWN, Pa. - Janet L. Rosenberry, 71, of 5565 Orrstown Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, at her home.
Born March 8, 1927, in Letterkenny Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph N. and Clara J. Stewart Wenger.
She was a 1945 graduate of Chambersburg (Pa.) High School.
She was a homemaker. She had worked at Letterkenny Army Depot and Stanley Co.
She was a member of Salem United Brethren Church, Chambersburg; and was a Sunday school and Bible school teacher, past president of Men's and Women's Bible Sunday School Class, a member of Young Peoples Missionary Band and was a church conference delegate.
She was den mother for Cub Scouts, and served on the Letterkenny Township election board.
She sang with Stanley Ladies Chorus.
She is survived by her husband, C. Guy Rosenberry, whom she married
April 17, 1949; a son, Dennis D. Rosenberry of Chambersburg; two sisters, Alice E. Eberly of Menno Village, Chambersburg, and Cora C. Forrester of Shippensburg, Pa.; two brothers, Arthur W. Wenger of Piney Mountain Home, Fayetteville, Pa., and Richard J. Wenger of Chambersburg; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Salem United Brethren Church, 4349 Letterkenny Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. John W. Shubert will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
Viewing will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg; and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Delaney, in 1995. They were married
Aug. 21, 1940.
She was a 1931 graduate of Shenandoah High School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Trinity UCC Church, Waynesboro; where she served on committees.
She was a member of Homewood Church Home Auxiliary; and Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by a son, Fred Delaney; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren; cousins; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday at noon in the chapel of Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah. The Rev. James Stevenson will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah.
Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lochstampfor Funeral Home, South Church and West Second streets, Waynesboro; and Monday one hour prior to the service in the Cemetery chapel.

Newell C. Cantrell
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Newell C. He is survived by three daughters, Betty Ann Hurd of Hagerstown, Genevieve R. Marino of Clinton, Md., and Beverly L. Penwell of Mercersburg, Pa.; three sons, Newell J. Cantrell of Greencastle, Pa., John W. Cantrell of Washington, D.C., and Ronald C. Cantrell of Alexandria, Va.; two sisters, Marjorie Ferguson and Maggie Hill, both of West Liberty, Ky.; one brother, Jesse Cantrell of West Liberty; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Chambersburg Church of Christ, 230 S. Third St., Chambersburg. Charles Hill will officiate. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association of Central Pennsylvania, 6041 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17112-1208.
