Born July 24, 1909, in Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late Curtis M. and Susan Pilgrim Diehl.
His wife, Esther V. Helmuth Diehl, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1988.
He had been employed as a carpenter by J. Guy Tosten in Chambersburg.
He was a member of Freewill Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, and was an elder. He was a former member of King Street United Brethren Church in Chambersburg.
He is survived by two daughters, Joyce E. Sanders of Murfreesboro, and Delana K. Sellers of Chambersburg, Pa.; one son, Jack E. Diehl of Bowling Green, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sisters, brothers, and a granddaughter.
Services will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Lester F. Stine will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home Saturday one hour prior to the service.
John M. Wisler
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - John M. Wisler, 86, of 5102 Polktown Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, at his home.
Born Dec. 10, 1911, in Henryetta, Pa., he was the son of the late Samuel K. and Amanda G. Koontz Wisler.
He farmed in Blair County, Pa. He owned and operated a farm on Polktown Road from 1947 until retiring in 1979.
He was a member and a deacon of Dunkard Brethren Church, Waynesboro, and taught Sunday school.
He is survived by his wife, Edna V. Shelly Wisler, whom he married
Feb. 26, 1946; two daughters, Doretta M. Wisler of Chambersburg, Pa., and Ethel N. Whipple of Waynesboro; four sons, Glen M. Wisler of Boonsboro, Daniel J. Wisler of Wirtz, Va., Earl R. Wisler of Waynesboro and Dale E. Wisler of Fayetteville, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron Michael Whipple; four sisters, Mattie Wisler, Susie Gilpin, Fannie Hearn and Elizabeth Wisler; and a brother, David Wisler.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Antietam Congregation Old German Baptist Church at Price's. Elder Frank D. Shaffer will officiate. Burial will be in Price's Church Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.

Susan M. Meyers

Born Oct. 29, 1899, in Quincy Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin H. and Martha Stoops Mentzer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey F. Meyers, in 1982.
She was a member of Brandt's Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Susan Frey of Chambersburg, Helen Stitziel of Denton, Texas, and Phoebe Anderson of Costa Mesa, Calif.; two sons, J. Edmund Meyers of Dover, Pa., and Harvey Meyers of Chambersburg; 21 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters; a sister; a brother; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Rick Hostetter and the Rev. Charles Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Brechbill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Edna M. Ocker
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Edna M. Born Oct. 11, 1906, in West Pennsboro Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late A. Raymond and Annie Eckenrode Crusey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer P. Ocker, in 1980.
Prior to her marriage, she was employed by Beistle Co., Shippensburg.
She was a member of Shippensburg First Assembly of God Church; and attended Christian Women's Club of Chambersburg, Pa.
She is survived by six daughters, Betty Parson, Esther Mowery-Carver, Mae Staver, Jean Mooney, Mary Heefner and Grace Brenize, all of Shippensburg; five sons, Albert I. Ocker, Chester W. Ocker and Richard L. Ocker, all of Shippensburg, Paul E. Ocker of Newville, Pa., and Jay G. Ocker of Hagerstown; two sisters, Annie Hurley of Newville and Emma Helman of Chambersburg; a brother, Wesley Crusey of Chambersburg; 43 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister; a brother; two grandsons, and a great-grandson.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Shippensburg First Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Arnold V. Segesman will officiate. Burial will be in Mongul Cemetery, Southampton Township, Franklin County.
Viewing will be Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, 112 W. King St., Shippensburg; and Monday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Donald W. Claudy
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Donald W. Claudy, 71, of 1146 Westgate Drive, and formerly of 440 E. Born July 2, 1927, in New Cumberland, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry W. and Zelda Hinkle Claudy. He was raised by his paternal grandmother, the late Mary Claudy.
He was employed by Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg for 38 years, retiring in 1982. After retirement he was employed by Franklin County Integrated Transportation, retiring in 1997, after 10 years of service.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of Chambersburg Baptist Church in Chambersburg, where he was an usher, and a member of the brotherhood. He also was a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class.
He was a life member of Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW, a member of Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion, Goodwill Fire Co., National Association of Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1063, all in Chambersburg; and a volunteer at Chambersburg Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Bowers Claudy, whom he married
June 4, 1950; one daughter, Vickie Reed of Birmingham, Ala.; one son, Michael W. Claudy of Mount Jackson, Va.; two grandchildren; and cousins.
Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Jimmie Knox, the Rev. Ronald R. Reed, and Charles R. Mcguire will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery in Chambersburg, with graveside services conducted by members of Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW in Chambersburg.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday one hour prior to the service.
