CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Fred W. Miller Sr., 79, of 9123 Fort McCord Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Aug. 31, 1919, in Leedy Station, Pa., he was the son of the late William L. and Annie Mae Shaffer Miller.
He owned and operated W.L. Miller Orchard in Edenville, Pa., until 1968, and then worked for Sprint until retiring in 1984.
He was a member of Edenville United Methodist Church.
He also was a member of the Moose in Chambersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Helen R. Shatzer Miller, whom he married
in 1942; one son, Fred W. Miller Jr. of Tioga, Pa.; one sister, Evelyn Bender of Fayetteville, Pa.; one granddaughter; one grandson; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Taylor and Blanche L. Morris; and two brothers, John F. Miller and George E. Miller.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home Inc., 6492 Lincoln Way West, St. Thomas, Pa. The Rev. John F. Rauhut will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. For the convenience of friends the funeral home will be open from 2 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Edenville United Methodist Church, 2504 Appleway Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - H. Born Aug. 6, 1904, in Clear Ridge, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Michael A. and L. Viola Stevens Detwiler.

She attended Juanita College.

She attended First Church of God.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna Byers and Rita Dangler, both of Chambersburg, Pa., and Joann Beard of Glasgow, Mont; one aunt; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at First Church of God, 339 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg. The Rev. J. Barry Beard will officiate. Burial will be in Three Springs Cemetery in Three Springs, Pa.
A viewing will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.

Kelley R. Powell
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Kelley R. Powell, 38, of 120 Perry Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Nov, 22, 1998, on Main Street in Fayetteville, Pa., as a result of a motorcycle/pickup truck accident.
Born April 22, 1960, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of Jean McClure Reid of Fayetteville, and the late Reid H. Powell Sr.
He was employed by Mount Cydonia Sand Co. in Fayetteville for 17 years.
He attended Fayetteville Church of God in Fayetteville.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Dylan R. Powell, at home; four sisters, Judy E. Neff and Lori A. Hardsock, both of Fayetteville, Bonnie K. Bingaman of Lawrenceville, Ga., Kathy J. Rockwell of Chambersburg, Reid H. Powell Jr. of Shippensburg, Pa., and Michael L. Powell of South Mountain, Pa.
Services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. George S. Mouer Sr. and the Rev. George R. Pogue Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery in Chambersburg.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Ruth N. Dessem
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Ruth N. Dessem, 97, a resident of Shook Home, and formerly of 200 N. Robert S. Little

Born Nov. 6, 1925, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late Alson S. and M. Grace Snyder Little.
He was a 1943 graduate of Waynesboro High School, and was class president. He was a 1950 graduate of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science with a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He was employed as a pharmacist for People's Drug Stores for more than 35 years, was district manager in Vienna, Va., Frederick, Md., and Roanoke, Va. He retired in 1987.
He served four terms as jury commissioner for the Republican Party.
He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Waynesboro.
He was a member of Acacia Lodge 586 Free and Accepted Masons, Waynesboro; Zembo Temple, Harrisburg, Pa.; Republican Ben Franklin Society; Chambersburg Area Republican Club, National Train Collectors Association; National Lionel Model Railroad Club; Norland Chapter 3261 AARP; and National AARP.
He was on the board of directors of Franklin County Chapter of the American Red Cross, Chambersburg. He volunteered at Eisenhower National Historic Site in Gettysburg.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria "Vicki" Martin Little, whom he married
on July 26, 1947; two daughters, Vicki Lynne Waller of Conway, S.C., and Carole Ann Kline of Waynesboro; one brother, Jack V. Little Sr. of Waynesboro; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Margaret Little Yingst; one brother, Alson S. Little Jr.; and one great-granddaughter.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, 104 N. Potomac St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Lynn D. Trutt will officiate. Burial will be in Quincy Cemetery, Quincy, Pa.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Masonic memorial services at 8:30 p.m.

She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church, Waynesboro, the Adult Sunday School Class, and was a leader of Missionettes.
She was a member of Gideon International; South Franklin County Camp; Wayne Heights Homemakers and National AARP. She had worked the election polls in Rouzerville.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence O. Fulk, whom she married
on Jan. 17, 1942; one son, Gary E. Fulk of Waynesboro; one sister, Ethel Adams of Chambersburg; one brother, Richard Peters of York, Pa.; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Rickrode and Jeanne Ridenour; and one brother, Glenn Peters.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Assembly of God Church, 116 Snider Ave., Waynesboro. Pastor Dwan N. Newscome and Pastor Walter A. Stuart will officiate. Burial will be Mount Zion Cemetery, Quincy.
The family will receive friends at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church 30 minutes prior to the service on Wednesday.
