CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Isabell R. Born June 13, 1915, in Shippensburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Jacob H. and Annie C. Killinger Holtry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John I. Spoonhour.
She was a housekeeper in the Chambersburg area.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters; and two brothers.
Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 201 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg. The Rev. Stuart Troutman will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the nursing and rehabilitation center.
Memorial donations may be made to Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 201 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Benjamin F. Myers
HARRISONVILLE, Pa. - Benjamin F. Myers, 73, of Harrisonville and formerly of Mercersburg, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Dec. 19, 1998, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.
Born Oct. 19, 1925, in Fannettsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Alvin Huss and Margaret Dorty Myers.
He was a former employee of the former Appalachian Stone Co. of Mercersburg. For 17 years, he was a truck driver for Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, retiring in 1987.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He was a member and past commander of Harry Lackhove American Legion Post 517 of Mercersburg.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Mary Lou Wright Myers; two sons, William A. Myers of Cadahy, Wis., and Gary A. Myers of Chambersburg; a stepdaughter, Virginia Myers of Greencastle, Pa.; three stepsons, Timothy Myers of Williamson, Pa., Eric Myers of Harrisonville and Christopher Myers of Mercersburg; three sisters, Betty J. Talhelm of Greencastle, Dorothy A. Kipe Sr. of Mercersburg and Margaret M. Bookwalter of Smithsburg; a brother, John A. Myers of Harrisonville; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; a great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Clayton Memorial Church of God, Mercersburg. The Revs. Kelly Shope and Roy E. Brake Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
Viewing will be Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg; and Tuesday one hour prior to services at the church.
Kathleen M. Franklin
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Kathleen M. Born Sept. 18, 1921, in Cameron, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Clemence and Abigail Lewis Schaefer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Franklin, in 1982.
She was a 1941 graduate of Cameron High School.
She was a homemaker. For 10 years, she worked in the post exchange at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg.
She was active with Chambersburg Area Hospital Auxiliary; served as a volunteer with Chambersburg Hospital Gift Shop; and was a member of Harrisburg Women's Bowling Association.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen Marshall of Chambersburg; a son, Thomas E. Franklin of Laurel, Md.; a brother, Richard Schaefer of Cameron; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Daniel F. Lawler will be celebrant. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Florence E. Snider

Born Aug. 5, 1896, in Letterkenny Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Jere A. and Ida Heister Snider.
She was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir.
She is survived by two sisters, Sarah Shatzer of St. Thomas and Margaret Barnes of Chambersburg; a brother, Floyd Snider of Chambersburg; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Charles W. Kampmeyer and the Rev. Herbert C. Spomer, Ph.D., will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Mary E. Geiger
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Mary Engle Geiger, 82, formerly of 54 Clayton Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, in Manor Care Nursing Home, Chambersburg, Pa., where she had been a guest since she suffered a stroke five weeks ago.
Born Sept. 6, 1916, she was the daughter of late Lou and Louise Harrison Engle.
She was a graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in business administration.
She was employed by the U.S. Navy as a recruiter prior to her marriage in 1946. She was a real estate agent with Century 21 for a number of years, working in the Waynesboro area.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Geiger, whom she married
Sept. 16, 1946; two daughters, Mary Cook of Edgewood, Md., and Loretta Flynn of Warrenton, Va.; three sons, William Geiger of Lovettsville, Va., Gregory C. Geiger of Waynesboro, and the Rev. Robert W. Geiger II of Granthham, Pa.; 19 grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by two sons, John Geiger and Louis Patrick Geiger.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Lochstampfor Funeral Home. The Rev. John Fickett will officiate. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 and one hour prior to services on Tuesday in the funeral home.
Frank Shew Jr.

Born Jan. 19, 1924, in St. Thomas, Pa., he was the son of Ida Mae Jones Shew, a resident of Shook Home in Chambersburg, and the late J. Frank Shew.
He began working as a truck driver and became owner and operator of the trucking firm for Joe the Motorist Friend stores. After retiring, he provided custodial services for Greencastle-Antrim School District.
He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in St. Thomas, and attended Hollywell Brethren in Christ Church in Waynesboro, Pa.
He also was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons, and a past member of Chambersburg Rod and Gun Club.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mildred L. Davis Shew, whom he married
June 27, 1944; two sons, Larry E. Shew and Marvin L. Shew, both of Greencastle, Pa.; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. James Sollenberger and the Rev. Robert D. Morrison will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
