CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Earl J. Robison, 77, of 55 S. Born Oct. 3, 1921, in Greencastle, Pa., he was the son of the late William K. and Minnie B. Pine Robison.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Lorene Robison who Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1974.
He was retired from Letterkenny Army Depot and was later a security officer at Pet Ritz Inc., in Chambersburg.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army in the Pacific.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by three sisters, Pearl J. Elser of Greenvillage, Pa., Dorothy M. Gearhart of St. Thomas, Pa., and Betty Gordon of Chambersburg.
He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
Funeral services and burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing.
Arrangements are by Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg.
Dr. Russell C. McLucas
McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Dr. Russell C. "Mac" McLucas, 77, of 114 W. North St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998, at Harrisburg General Hospital, Harrisburg, Pa.
Born Aug. 5, 1921, in Markes, Pa., he was the son of the late Russell H. and Emma Ruth Kessinger McLucas.
He was a 1939 graduate of Lemaster High School. He also graduated from Chambersburg Business School; attended the University of Kentucky for two years in premed and graduated in 1948 from the University of Tennessee with a master's degree.
He was a physician in Fulton County since Jan. 13, 1953; he was still practicing medicine at the time of his death. Previously, he had a practice in Harveton, Ky., prior to coming to Fulton County, Pa. He served as the coroner of Fulton County from 1956 to 1996.
He was a sergeant with the U.S. Army during World War II; and a captain in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, where he was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base for two years.
He was a member of United Church of Christ, McConnellsburg.
He was a member of McConnellsburg American Legion; Mount Zion Lodge; Harrisburg Consistory; Jaffa Temple in Altoona, Pa.; Narrows Gun and Protective Association; McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Company, where he was company surgeon for many years; a past director and chairman of the Board of the Fulton County National Bank; past member of the Board of the Mental Health and Mental Retardation of Franklin and Fulton counties; former member of the Physicians Self Review Organization; past member and president of Dairy Heard Improvement Association; and a member of Fulton County Sportsman League.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene Jones McLucas, whom he married
April 4, 1947; a daughter, Stephanie K. Course of McConnellsburg; a son, Russell C. McLucas Jr. of McConnellsburg; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lorma Maude "Sue" Naugle; and two brothers, Emmert Lee McLucas and Bernard "Jim" McLucas.
The funeral service is private and at the convenience of the family.
There will be a public visitation Saturday from 2 to 9 p.m. at McConnellsburg High School.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Russell C. McLucas Medical Scholarship Fund, in care of Fulton County National Bank, 100 Lincoln Way East, P.O. Box 38, McConnellsburg, PA 17233.
Arrangements are by Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home Inc., 322 N. Second St., McConnellsburg.
Edna H. Enright
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Edna Myers Hartranft Enright, 95, of 1069 Lincoln Way East, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998, at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she had been a patient for the past five years.
Born March 29, 1903, in Maugansville, she was the daughter of the late Scott and Lilly Barncord Myers.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George R. Hartranft, in 1963.
She and her husband were the owners and operators of the former Lincoln Way Hatchery, Chambersburg. Later, she was employed at the former Ben Chambers Motel, Chambersburg.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Enright, whom she married
Sept. 11, 1976; a daughter, Mary Jane Kruger of Fayetteville, Pa.; two sons, Robert O. Hartranft of Chambersburg and Donald W. Hartranft of Rockville, Md.; a brother, Lewis C. Myers of Greencastle, Pa.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Patricia Durham; three sisters; and a brother.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. A. Robert Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.
It was her request to have no viewing.
The family requests the omission of flowers.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 452 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Mildred M. Pfeiffer
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Mildred M. Bent Pfeiffer, 86, a resident at Piney Mountain and formerly of 5783 White Church Road, Shippensburg, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998, at Waynesboro (Pa.) Hospital.
Born Feb. 3, 1912, in Chambersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry E. Bent and Blanche E. Snowberger Bent Mackey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester F. Pfeiffer Sr., in 1966.
She had worked as a cook at various restaurants, including Rite Spot Restaurant and the former Graftenburg Inn, both of Fayetteville. Later, she did domestic work in private homes.
She is survived by a daughter, Viola "Mae" Henry Cook of Shippensburg; two sons, Chester F. Pfeiffer of Greencastle, Pa., and James E. Pfeiffer of South Mountain, Pa.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Floyd E. Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Tuesday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Della E. Snyder
McSHERRYSTOWN, Pa. - Della Elizabeth Zentmyer Snyder, 88, of 246 Johnathan Drive and formerly of 214-C Elder Ave., Waynesboro, Pa., and Baltimore, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at Brethren Home, New Oxford, Pa.
Born Aug. 12, 1910, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Ella Gantz Zentmyer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Snyder Sr., in 1973. They were married
in 1930.
She was a member of St. Marks Church of Baltimore.
She was a homemaker. She had worked at Waynesboro Knitting Mill as an operator until her retirement in 1965. She also worked for 11 years at Misty Harbor in Baltimore as a machine operator.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann Louise Keene of McSherrystown; two sons, Donald Snyder of Jesup, Ga., and Richard Snyder of Hanover, Pa.; three sisters, Ethel Phillipi of Chicago, Frances Davis of York, Pa., and Betty Pryor of Waynesboro; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Jean Snyder; two sons, Charles E. Snyder Jr. and Robert Snyder; three sisters, Bertha Clugston, Irene Hahn and Viola McFerren; and a brother, Casper Zentmyer.
Services will be today at 11 a.m. at Lochstampfor Funeral Home, Waynesboro. The Rev. Carol Kipe will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
