Felix F. He was 79 years old. Felix was born March 2, 1921 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Kuno Mack and the late Martha Mack (nee - Rupnecht).
He is the beloved husband of 52 years to Mary R. Mack (nee Brun); father of Diane and Robert F. Mack and his wife Maria ; grandfather of Joanna, Christina and Lisa Mack and the brother of William Mack.
Felix retired as a purchasing agent for the Mateer-Burt Company in 1987.
He was a graduate of Northeast High School in 1939, he then worked for Cramp Shipyard in the purchasing Department and was deferred due to his work. Mr. Mack gave up his deferment to join the Army in October of 1943. He served in the 28th Infantry Division which participated in the D-Day landing on Utah Beach in Normandy. Felix was wounded in Luxenbourg for which he received the Purple Heart. He spent six months in the hospital in Bristol England and then returned to his infantry regiment. He finished his tour of duty in Lubeck, Germany and was discharged in October of 1945.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass Wednesday, February 14, 2001, at 10:30 A.M. at Presentation B. V. M. Church, 100 Old Soldiers Road, Cheltenham. Friends may call Wednesday, February 14, 2001, from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at Presentation B. V. M. Church, 100 Old Solderiers Road, Cheltenham (see below for directions from Route 1 "Roosevelt Boulevard"). Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham will follow the Funeral Mass.

John G. Evangelist

John G. He was 78 years old. John was born May 29, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Joseph Evangelist and the late Rose Evangelist (nee - D’Ambrosia).
He is the beloved husband of Ruth C. Evangelist (nee - Sweeney); survived by his brother, Joseph Evangelist, of Sunnyvale, California and by his many nieces and nephews.
John was born and raised in Philadelphia and was inducted into the U.S. Navy in April of 1943. He served in the Pacific Theater during World War II reaching the rank of Pharmacist’s Mate Second Class. After the war he worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal service for 34 years and then as a security guard for Holy Redeemer Hospital for 19 years until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 690.

Eugene was born and raised in Philadelphia. He worked as a bookkeeper for the Stetson Hat Company and then as a press operator for I.T.E. Circuit Board Company for the majority of his working career, retiring in 1980. Eugene was a member of the “Jolly 050 Club”.

Atherton was born in England and was raised and educated in the United States, graduating from Abington High School in 1930. He lived in the Horsham area for 22 years. During his working career Atherton was a supervisor working for a company which manufactured Industrial Process Controls. He was a member of Covenant Lodge No. 161 F. & A.M., Palmyra, NJ, the Scottish Rite Consistory of Allentown, PA and the Palestine Chapter No. 250 Order of the Eastern Star of Roxborough, PA.

James B. Jim was raised in Philadelphia. He attended St. Martin of Tours Church where he was an altar boy under the direction of Fr. Hugh McSherry. As a boy he went to St. Martin of Tours School, was a paper carrier for the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin and played baseball for the Frankford Boys Club. He attended Father Judge High School where he played tennis for the Catholic League City Champions in 1970.
After high school, he went to LaSalle University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration in 1974. During college he operated his own lawn care service and worked for the Penn Fruit Company. After college he worked for the Rite Aid Corp. and then started his own business, Doyle Construction, Inc.
Jim was a loving husband and supportive father and was a friend to all he met. He was an avid tennis player with the Northampton Tennis Players and was an active member of St. Ephrem's Parish. He expressed his creativity through his work and his love of remodeling. He was looking forward to his daughter's graduation from Drexel University in June and to his 25th wedding anniversary in July of 2001.
