Born Aug. 26, 1944, in Johnstown, daughter of Herman and Helen (Serball) Bischof. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Doris Englehart; father- and mother-in-law, Frank and Valeria Bazyk. Survived by loving husband of 37 years, Francis A. Bazyk Sr., and these devoted children: Francis A. Jr., married to the former Laura Troxell, Mechanicsville, Md.; Bryan, and loving girlfriend, Marissa Rullo, and Kristen, wife of Kevin Weaver, both of Johnstown; grandchildren, Keith, Erik and Emily Bazyk; Lindsay and Jonah Weaver. A sister of Thomas, and wife, Sally, Elizabethville, Pa.; Bernard, and wife, Kay, Harrisburg. Retired supervisor of proof department for First National Bank. Secretary of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School. Active and devoted member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Martin Cingle. Committal, Grandview Cemetery. Friends received from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Alhambra Vigo Caravan 1551 and Knights of Columbus Council 467 will recite the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Kathy was a loving and kind person who helped anyone who needed her special care at their time of need; she was devoted to her family, church and friends. Also survived by great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Isaac Stevanus and Mariah and Jonathan Fabian. Brother of Florence Horchler of Grantsville, Md.; Ruth Warechime, Tanneytown, Md.; and Donna Foy of Berlin. Retired employee of Snyder's Chip Plant, Berlin. A veteran of U.S. Navy, World War II. Survived by cousins, Jane and Gloria Hirschberger, and very good friends, Karen and Jim Kormanik. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. He was a World War II Army veteran, having served in the European Theater in the Battle of the Bulge. He received a Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He was a lifetime member of St. John Gualbert Cathedral. Albert was a quiet man. He enjoyed reading, music and working outdoors. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. John Gualbert Cathedral, Father John F. Brezovec. Interment, St. John's Cemetery, Geistown. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a graduate of Williamsport Technical College. He was employed as a machinist at Flight FAB in Beltsville, Md.
