Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, the Rev. Angelo Patti officiating. Committal, Benshoff Hill Cemetery. Those who wish please make donations to St. Andrew's Catholic Church or Somerset County Humane Society.

SKINNER - Betty Marie, 87, formerly of Johnstown, passed away Sept. 4, 2007, at Church of the Brethren Home. Born April 10, 1920, in Johnstown, daughter of the late D.D. and Mayme (Kniss) Dunkle. Preceded in death by brother, Dr. Donald Dunkle, and sister, Vivian Grazier. Survived by children, Dianne, married to Frank Schramko, Frankfort, Ill., and Donald D. "Skip," married to Jane, Stem, N.C.; grandmother of six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and devoted longtime friend, Mel Horner. Member of Westmont Church of the Brethren, president of the Cambria County Dental Auxiliary, president of the Westmont PTA and manager at the former Bethlehem Management Club. She played an active role in the activities at the Church of the Brethren Home community in Windber, where she had lived for the past five years. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., the Rev. Warren Lewis and Pastor Robert L. Rummel. Inurnment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Church of the Brethren Home or Westmont Church of the Brethren.

Survived by brother, Neil, married to the former Eileen Peterson, Frederick, Md.; niece, Sylvia Leichter, Santa Maria, Calif.; nephews, Glenn (Ella) Spangler, San Diego, Calif.; Mark Spangler, Millersville, Md.; Gary Spangler, Pasadena, Md.; and Eric Spangler, Bear, Del.; and close friend, Peggy Ankeny, Somerset. She retired from the advertising department for The Tribune-Democrat and attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Stoystown. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and writing poetry. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. John L. Emig officiating. Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown.

A sister of Carl, married to the former Rachael Giardina, Johnstown; Kathie, wife of Jim McClintock, Monroeville; Kerry, married to the former Annabelle Salazar, Grants, N.M.; Randy, married to the former Barbara Hamlin, Goose Creek, S.C.; and Karen Wilt, and fiance, David Vivis, Johnstown. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Tracie wife of Eddie Mikesic; Lisa, married to Nick Teeter; Brock and Karlie Horner; Megan McClintock; and Max, Zeke and Sage Wilt; and special uncle and aunt, Tim and Judy Williams, Harrisburg. Also survived by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Graduate of Greater Johnstown High School, Class of 1986. Graduated from Elizabethtown College with a B.A. in elementary education and early childhood development and a master's degree from Penn State University. A 16-year employee for the Central Dauphin School District, where she was currently a reading specialist. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Ruth Moore. Interment, Benshoff Hill Cemetery.

GANO (GILL) - Ms. Trudy Marie "Wezzy," 41, Johnstown, passed away July 17, 2007, at home. Born April 18, 1966, in Johnstown, daughter of Thomas M. Gill, Windber, and Clare Ann Barclay, Hagerstown, Md. Survived by parents; maternal grandmother, Mary M. Barclay, Johnstown; son, Matthew Michael Barnhart Jr., Gouldbusk, Texas; stepmother, Trish Gill; brothers, Thomas F., married to Maria (Lagoc) Gill, Jacksonville, Fla.; Eric "Buddy," married to Cassie (Sambor) Gill, Hagerstown, Md.; and Aaron Gill, Windber; sisters, Teresa (Gill), married to Mark Middleton, South Fork; Tina (Gill) Zeglin, St. Michael; nine nieces and nephews, Jessica, Jamie, Jennifer and Thomas Jr. "T.J." Gill, Luke and Emilie Lucas, R.J. Zeglin, Autumn and Anissa Gill; and one great-niece, Saydie George. Trudy was an avid reader, a billiards player, and always put others' needs before her own. She was a private 1st class in the U.S. Army. She loved life, her friends and her family, including her dog, Mindy. Her compassionate nature made her not only enjoyable but also inspirational to be around. She will be sadly missed by all. There will be a private viewing. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, South Fork, the Rev. James Rank, pastor. Private interment, St. John Cantius' Cemetery, Windber. Born Aug. 7, 1924, in Johnstown. Dorothy had been a resident of Beaver County since 1947. She was the daughter of the late George and Mabel Baumgardner Crawford and wife of the late William C. Reed. Dorothy was a 1942 graduate of Richland Township High School and a 1945 graduate of Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Johnstown. She was a member of Riverview United Methodist Church, Patterson Township. She lived most of her life as a nurse, housewife and loving mother. She was a volunteer with the Salvation Army and the Beaver Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by daughters, Nancy J. Reed, Beaver, and Debra L. Reed, Beaver Falls; sons, Timothy C. (Marilyn) Reed, Wexford, and Thomas J. (Pamela) Reed, Avon Lake, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Ethel C. Snavely, Dover, Del.; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Glen Crawford. Friends will be received from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the J.T. Anderson Funeral Home, 205 College Ave., Beaver, www.jtanderson.-com. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the Riverview United Methodist Church, Darlington Road, Patterson Township, by the Rev. Jim Parkinson and the Rev. James Bray. Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. (Seese) Ostrosky, Mineral Point; and grandchildren, Wayne Seese, Denise Gdula, Deborah Madison, Cindy Oaks, Janet McAndrews, John W. Vera was a member of the First United Methodist Church, South Fork, where she was a former member of Philathea Bible class, Elderberries and South Fork Senior Center. She worked at Stineman Ribbon and Trophy and had worked as a Stanley dealer. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Beaverdale, the Rev. Dr. Paul Morris officiating. Interment, South Fork Cemetery.
