Survived by wife, Ramona; six children; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Emma Kaufman and Rose A. Huegel, both of Johnstown; and Marjorie Hemming, Bedford; and aunt, Dorothy McClain, Robinson. Will be greatly missed by all. Barker Funeral Home, Salem, Ark. Burial Friday, April 2, 2004.

Member of board of directors for Johnstown Cambria Federal Credit Union. Member of Knights of Columbus, Council 4164; Our Lady of the Alleghenies; and 4th Degree All Saints Assembly. District commander for Boy Scouts of America. Recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. Also a member of Woodvale Olympic Club and Athletic Club. A minister of welcome and Croatian choir member of St. Rochus Catholic Church, where funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m., the Rev. Charles Amershek. Committal, St. Anthony Cemetery. Survived by daughter, Georgina (Gantner) Dickson; son, Nicholas Gantner; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters, Helen (Balog) Burch and Margaret Balog. Graduate of Windber High School, Conemaugh Valley Hospital School of Nursing and New York University. Served as clinical instructor at Fordham University Hospital and clinical instructor at Kingston Hospital School of Nursing, Kingston, N.Y. Her son is with the New York National Guard. Two grandsons are on active duty with the Army and one is currently serving in Iraq. Another grandson is on active duty with the Marines. A granddaughter is on active duty as an attorney with the U.S. Navy. Funeral services were held in Kingston, N.Y., on March 31, 2004.

Also survived by three sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Member of Pilgrim Church of God in Christ, Johnstown District Missionary for Church of God in Christ for over 40 years, first chairman of state supervisor of women's department emeritus and was also an evangelist for over 40 years. Retired nurse's aide from Conemaugh Memorial Hospital. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Pilgrim Church of God in Christ, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Elder Robert T. Scholfield, Elder Reed Moore and Bishop James M. Foster. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
