(Evans) Noon, whom he married on Sept. 18, 1943, and she preceded him in death on March 1, 1991. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Johnstown, Pa. He served in World War II as a Tec 3 in the U.S. Army. He served with the 106th Infantry. He was a prisoner of war in Germany from December 1944 to June 1945. He also served in the Korean War. He was a life member of the American Legion. Member of VFW, Geistown; and DAV-Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by daughter, Karen E., wife of A.Wayne Corle, Imler; son, Kevin E. Noon and fiancee, Susan, East Berlin; sister, Velma, wife of Joyce Shultz, Mishawaka, Ind.; special niece, Velma Brown, Summerhill; special niece, Twila Wirfel, Buffalo, N.Y.; special niece, Thelma Robinson, South Fork; numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Michelle, wife of Ray Webb, Proctorville, Ohio; Melissa, wife of John Woomer, Altoona; Michael Wayne Corle, Pittsburgh; Kevin Noon, Johnstown; and Andrew Noon, Johnstown; and six great-grandchildren, Ryan and Collin Webb; Joshua Noon; Nicole, Kristin and Jordan Woomer.
