Sister of John Pastorek, Johnstown; Mary Kuntz, Yonkers, N.Y.; and Margaret Staicer, Madison, Ind. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Dorothy is also survived by good friend, Rosemary Boone. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Johnstown, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Msgr. Dennis R. Boggs. Committal, Richland Cemetery. At Dorothy's request there will be no viewing or visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass at St Benedict Catholic Church on Saturday. Survived by children: James Gontis, married to Judith (Laesch), Punta Gorda, Fla.; David "Doc" Gontis, married to Patricia (Ryniak), Somerset Pike; Barbara (Stets), married to Joseph Krajcovic, Sipesville; and Debra (Stets), marred to Anthony Niemiec, Friedens; 19 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. A 1938 graduate of former Boswell High School. Army veteran of World War II. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish. Had been a partner in former D & D Beer Distributor, Boswell. Retired employee of Somerset Candy Co. Also a former meat cutter. Avid fisherman. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Friday, at All Saints Chapel, Acosta, the Rev. Father Justin Ratajczak, O.F.M., Conv., celebrant. Tesh; brother-in-law, Raymond V. Walker and his wife, the former Mildred L. Kerr. Survived by sisters-in-law, Margaret, widow of George W. Tesh, North Carolina; June Walker; Rosemary, widow of Richard Ling; and Ruth Ann, widow of Milton Neisner, all of Johnstown; and niece, Beverly (Tesh), wife of Charles Seeman; and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was self-employed at Tesh's Auto Body and Appraisals. He was a member of Kaufman Mennonite Church; Concerned Citizens of Richland Township; and Richland Lions Club. Visitation was held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and will be held prior to the service Thursday at 10 a.m. at Moskal & Kennedy Colonial Funeral Home, Ohio Street and Highland Avenue, Pastor Don Hamsher officiating. Committal, St. Joseph Mausoleum.

TROFINO - Elizabeth T. (Jankowiak)
TROFINO - Elizabeth T. (Jankowiak) 76, Johnstown, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at Laurel Crest Manor. Born Nov. 20, 1927, in Johnstown, daughter of the late John and Mary (Budney) Jankowiak. Survived by husband of 51 years, Ralph E. Trofino; children: Ralph, married to Rita (Bolek); Anthony, married to Pamela (Flori); and Mary Ann Lambrinos; grandchildren: Joseph, Thomas, Maria, and Alyssa; brother, Leo Jankowiak; and sister, Josephine Matteson. Graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School, Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and Mount Aloysius College. Retired registered nurse at Mercy Hospital, where she worked for over 25 years. She was a charter member of St. Clement Catholic Church, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday, the Rev. William E. Rosenbaum. Friends received from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Committal, St. Anthony Cemetery. ZELENOK - Steve
ZELENOK - Steve, 84, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord, March 30, 2004, at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 3, 1919, in Johnstown, son of John and Veronica (Ondero) Zelenyak. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Linda Ann Firley; granddaughter, Melissa Ann Firley; and brothers, Joe, Frank, John and Andy. He was the last surviving member of the Zelenyak family. Survived by wife of 57 years, former Pauline Antonishak; and son, David Stephen, married to former Kathleen Baron; and grandsons, Matthew David and David Steven, married to former Jaime Prough, all of Colorado Springs, Colo. Member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church. Steve served as an anti aircraft artilleryman in the U.S. Army in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, and Malta during World War II. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a life member of DAV and Charles Menoher Post 155, VFW. Retired rigger and crane operator from Lower Cambria Works of Bethlehem Steel Corp., with 27 1/2 years' service. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Henderson-Ketterer Funeral Home, Geistown, where Parastas will be sung at 8 p.m. Funeral begins Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with a brief service at the funeral home followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, the Rev. Msgr. Raymond Balta. Interment, St. Mary Byzantine Cemetery, Windber, where military rite will be conducted at graveside by Conemaugh Valley Detachment Marine Corps League. Steve will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

She was Born Jan. 16, 1941, in Barnesboro, the daughter of the late Rupert and Luella Miller Kline. She was employed by the Shadle Furniture Co. of Lock Haven until 1982. She then was employed as a licensed practical nurse in the extended care unit of the Lock Haven Hospital until her retirement in 2003. She was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church, Lock Haven. She was also a member of the Social Organization for Singles. She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Michaels of Anchorage, Alaska; two sons, Dean Conrad of Mill Hall and Kevin Conrad of Beech Creek; three sisters, Rita Singer of Pittsburgh, Mildred Krug of Cresson and Evelyn Yahner of Cleveland, Ohio; two brothers, William Kline of Pittsburgh and Donald Kline of Marsteller; six grandchildren, Ashley, Melissa, Justin and Eric Conrad and Jordan and Tristan Michaels; and a very special friend, Rudy Wacek of Woolrich. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lou Kirk and Elizabeth Karlheim. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2004, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, with the Rev. Sean Code officiating. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Lock Haven. Friends will be received at the Moriarty-Dutcavich Funeral Home, 112 E. Brother of Alberta Jones of Sterling, Ill., and Harold of Des Plain, Ill. Member of Westmont Presbyterian Church and the American Society of Mechanical Engineering for 25 years, where he received the Fellow Award, the Arnold Stucki Award and the Distinguished Service Award from the Rail Transportation Division. He was a supporter of the Foster Parents Plan. He earned his engineering degree from correspondence school. He retired from Bethlehem Steel as a chief engineer and he was also a consultant for the railroad industry. Friends received from noon until time of memorial service at 1 p.m. Monday at Westmont Presbyterian Church, the Rev. David R. Snyder. Service of committal will be held Aug. 20 at Forest Hills Cemetery in Philadelphia.
