MOON - Blanche Eveline (Wagner), Johnstown, went to be with her Savior, while living with her daughter. Born in Salisbury, daughter of the late Charles and Fannie Margaret (Garlitz) Wagner. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Preceded in death by husband, Warren L. Moon; sisters, Marrea Gonder, Florence Slickerman and Lillian Cochrane; and brothers, Earl, Harry, Harvey, Ernest and Lee Wagner. Survived by daughter, Patricia, married to Paul Rhoades; grandson, Patrick Warren Moon Rhoades; and devoted caregivers, Peggy Sherry and Jean Swinger. She was a graduate of Salisbury High School, Katherman's Business School and attended the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and the Dale Carnegie workshop. Blanche retired as a supervisor and case manager for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. Former secretary for the city of Johnstown Mayor K.O. Tompkins and supervisor for the American Red Cross. A member of the Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees and DPW Ten-Year Club and a lifelong member of the United Church of Christ at St. Paul's in Salisbury and St. Paul's in Johnstown. She was a loving mother and grandmother, respected and well-liked by friends and all who knew her. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary Inc., West Hills, 921 Menoher Blvd. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 145 Ohio St., the Rev.
