She was the wife of the late George J. Kozak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2004, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2935 Kingston Road, York. Viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2004, in Grandview Cemetery in Johnstown. Officiating at the service will be Father Robert E. McCreary from St. Joseph Catholic Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center Inc. of Mount Wolf, Pa. Mrs. Kozak was Born April 13, 1907, in Allegheny County, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Stephen and Catherine (Drusa) Hutira. She worked with her husband in their family business, Cambria Paint and Wallpaper. Mrs. Kozak is survived by one son, Robert G. Kozak of York, and two grandsons, Matthew and Robert. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the York County Area Agency on Aging, 141 W. Market St., York, Pa. 17401.

Survived by these children, Judy Ann, wife of Mark Mellott, Pittsburgh, and Anthony John, married to the former Lorraine Day, Ebensburg; and one granddaughter, whom she adored, Natalie Marie Kukucka. Sister of Louise Cominsky, Revloc. Former member of Most Holy Redeemer Altar Rosary Society, Revloc, and Senior Citizens. Rose enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake services will be held Wednesday evening. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg. Survived by mother, Cresson; children, Craig and Danielle LeComte, and granddaughter, Mishay Harris, of Cresson. Brother of Paula Meguess, Duncansville; Michael LeComte, Altoona; Randy and Rhonda LeComte, both of Cresson; Ronald LeComte, Munster; Todd LeComte, Ashville; and Chrissy McDermott, Cresson. Also survived by the mother of his children, Linda Muriceak, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also had many "brothers" through the railroad union. He was the son of Antonio and Iconavetera (Corona) Midili. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Leona Messina, and her husband, Anthony; and brother-in-law, Ted Karwoski. He is survived by his Franciscan Community; his sisters, Mary Midile and Philomena Karwoski; and his brother, Most Rev. Bonaventure Midili, TOR, Vicar for Religious; niece, Theresa and William Horner; nephews, Anthony and Theodore and Donna Gerth Karwoski; three grandnieces; and three grandnephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, at St. Clare of Assisi Church, 124 Maple Ave., Johnstown. The vigil for the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 1, at St. Clare of Assisi Church. Interment will be at the Community Cemetery at St. Bernardine Monastery in Hollidaysburg.

KRIVACH - Bertha Marie, 82, of Johnstown, passed away July 15, 2004, at her residence. Born Aug. 7, 1921, in Johnstown, daughter of August S. and Gertrude (Miller) Paige. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, Edward, Samuel, August A. and Clyde. Survived by husband, William Charles Krivach, Johnstown. Bertha and Bill were marriage 59 years and would have celebrated their 60th anniversary on Aug. 30, 2004. Also survived by children, Pastor William W., married to Carol (Mitzi) Gates, Nanty Glo, and Donna Marie, wife of Dennis Daub, Elkton, Md.; three granddaughters, Noreen, wife of Richard Beauregard; Sheri, wife of Ronald Conahan; and Sonya Krivach, all of Johnstown; and four great-grandchildren, Brook, Raymond and Dallas Beauregard and Sierra Conahan. Sister of Mathilda, wife of Robert Poehner, and Naomi, wife of Robert Baker, both of Johnstown; and brother, Kenneth, married to Barbara Nicely, of Fort Wayne, Ind. Also sisters-in-law, Louise (Mesaros) Paige and Kathleen (Petak) Paige, and numerous nieces and nephews. Bertha was a lifelong member of the Zion Lutheran Church and a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Friends received from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon Saturday at the John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., the Rev. Michael Van Dyke officiating. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. Brother of Dorothy Vereb, Bethlehem; Joseph, Friedens; and Andrew, Central City. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Shaley was a member of the UMWA, a former employee of SS. Peter and Paul's Orthodox Church and an avid fisherman and fiddle player. Attended Conemaugh Township Area High School. Former employee for U.S. Steel with 34 years of service. He was also a self-employed electrician. Past member of SS. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Windber. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed camping and doing work around his house.
