ROBERTS - Richard R., "Dick," 76, Vintondale, passed away Nov. 2, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 19, 1930, in Johnstown, son of the late Roy and Cora (Bracken) Roberts. Preceded in death by brother, William Roberts, Sr.; aunt, Ruth (Roberts) Anderson; and niece, Kendra (Roberts) Wysocki. Survived by wife of 49 years, Nancy (Bell) Roberts; and children, David, and wife Sherry Roberts, of Vintondale; Susan, and husband, Larry Colangelo, Twin Rocks; Kimberly, and husband, Malcolm Crittenden, Davidsville; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and aunt, Margie Plowman, Vintondale R.D. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and friends. Member of First Baptist Church, Vintondale. Army veteran, having served in the occupation during World War II, then later joining the Marine Corps Reserves. Retired after 35 years in the insurance business. Member of Summit Lodge 312, F--AM, Ebensburg. Dick enjoyed good friends, good laughs, and loved his family and friends. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday the Rev. Rich Stock officiating. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dick's memory may be made to First Baptist Church, Vintondale.

Born Feb. 25, 1925, in Johnstown, daughter of Paul Sr. and Mary (Chema) Batko. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Frank E. Zahurak; brother, John Batko; sister, Ann; and infant sister, Mary. Survived by son, Edward A., and wife, Jane, Holland, Mich., and son, Michael P., and wife, Ann, Johnstown; four grandchildren, Edward R., Johnstown; Peter G., married to the former Lizz Kuhn, Atlanta, Ga.; Michelle, married to Brian Misner, and Michael, all of Johnstown; and two great-grandchildren, Isabella Grace and Brian E. Misner. A sister of Paul, and wife, Margaret, Johnstown; Michael, and wife, Maria, Harrisburg; Margaret Deifert, Hillman, Mich.; Agnes Infantion, Mesa, Ariz.; and Jean Woodrow, Altoona. Also survived by 12 nieces and nephews, other relatives and many close friends. Helen was a well known manager and merchandiser, working for over 40 years at several local and national drug store chains, including Nevins/Sun Drugs, Lantos Pharmacy, Keystone Drugs, and Revco Drugs. She was very active at the Johnstown Senior Center and was known for her homemade baked goods. Helen was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Holland, Mich., and recently, Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Kent, Pa. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, Johnstown. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rochus Catholic Church, the Rev. Charles Amershek and the Rev. Larry J. Kulick. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Holland Hospital, 602 Michigan Ave., Holland, Mich. 49423; Resthaven Care Center, 280 W. 40th St., Holland, Mich. 49423; or Our Lady of the Lake Parish, 480 152nd Ave., Holland, Mich. 49424, in memory of Helen Zahurak.

KUSH - Anna Theresa (Dolsky), 87, Richland, formerly of Windber, went to be with the Lord Sept. 14, 2006, at Windber Medical Center. Born April 24, 1919, in Jenkins, Ky., daughter of Martin and Mary (Dzral) Dolsky. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Joseph "Jake" G. Kush; daughter, Patricia (Kush) Roberts; brothers, Stanley, Walter, Edward and Joseph Dolsky; and sister, Jean Ludwig. Survived by sons, Joseph A. Kush, married to the former Michelle Culp, Richland, and James M. Kush, married to the former Darlene Shaffer, Johnstown; son-in-law, Charles Roberts, Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Carolin and Christine Roberts; Joseph Michael Kush, and wife, Heather; Jason Matthew Kush, and wife, Victoria; Jessica Leanne Kush; Terry Robert Kush; Matthew Allen Kush; and Michael James Kush; sisters-in-law, Julie Dolsky, Windber, and Madeline Dolsky, Harrisburg; and brother-in-law, Charles Ludwig, Michigan. Anna was a life member of Windber Polish Falcons, where she was a member of the Windber Polish Falcons gymnastic team of 1934. Also treasurer of the PNA for many years. Member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber, where Anna also was a member of the Rosary Society and where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday by the Very Rev. Leonard E. Voytek, VF. Committal, St. John Cantius Catholic Cemetery, Windber. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held and where rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Anna was a loving mother and especially loved her grandchildren. They were very special to her.

Preceded in death by many siblings; paternal grandfather, Donald Richards; and paternal stepgrandfather, Thomas McVicker. Survived by parents; maternal grandparents, Robert and Barbara Quinn; paternal grandmother, Delores McVicker; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
