Mr. Shaffer was a leading member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Indiana. He was employed by the R&P; Coal Co. and was co-owner of the Colver Water Co. for 14 years before retirement. STEVENS – Ann C., 77, of Ocean City, N.J., passed away Feb. 7, 2007, at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital in Cape May Court House, N.J. Formerly lived in Johnstown, where she was born . She had been a resident of Ocean City for 22 years. Surviving are: her husband, Telford I. Stevens Sr. of Ocean City; daughter, Deborah A. Yoder, and her husband, Danny, of Ocean City; son, Ted Stevens Jr. of Seoul, South Korea; six grandchildren, Shawn, Christie, Chad, Todd, Amanda and Nicole; 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Kendall and Rose Rita Harcher, both of Cleveland; Donna Telgarsky and Connie Mock, both of Johnstown; and brother, Bernard Crossen of Johnstown. She was the beloved mother of the late Dorothy Stevens. Maria was the Latin teacher at Walt Whitman High School, Bethesda, Md. She was the beloved sister of Lucille Marten (Jim Marten) and Priscilla Ryan (Dr. Jim Ryan). Devoted aunt of nine nieces and nephews and 17 great-nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Potomac, Md., on Friday Feb. 16, 2007.
