Valgene T. Riedel
SUMMERVILLE, S.C. - Former Geneva resident Valgene T. Riedel, 84, died Tuesday, Feb, 12, 2002, at the Trident Medical Center, North Charleston, S.C.
She was born Sept. 22, 1917, in Kettleville, Pa., the daughter of Robert and Lillian (Lyle) White.
She attended Strattonville High School in Pennsylvania. She retired from the Geneva A&P Store, where she worked as head cashier.
She marriage Morris Riedel on Jan. 30, 1965, in Jefferson.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and a member and past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 2243 of Geneva.
Survivors include her husband, Morris, whom she marriage Jan. 30, 1965, in Jefferson; three sons, Howard Anderson of Summerville, S.C., George of Akron, and Robert of Texas; 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Shirley Kahanca; and a sister, Beaulah Corbett.
Graveside service is 11 a.m. Saturday in Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva, with the Rev. Richard Thompson, of Geneva Baptist Church, will officiate.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva. An Eagles Aerie 2243 service will be held during calling hours.
RICHARD C. "DICK" WATSON
LINESVILLE, PA - Richard C. "Dick" Watson, 70, of Linesville, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community. The funeral service will be Friday, June 20, at 11 a.m. at the Harold W. Coleman Jr. Funeral Home, 6028 US HWY 6, Linesville, PA, with Reverend John Brown, retired, officiating. Calling hours will be Thursday, June 19, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Thomas R. Forthman Jr.
SAEGERTOWN, PA - Thomas R. Forthman, Jr., 45, of Craig Road, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002 at the Meadville Medical Center in Meadville, Pa. He was born Oct. 25, 1957 in Ashtabula, OH, the son of Ruth (Trask) and Thomas R. Forthman, Sr.
Mr. Forthman was a 1976 graduate of Conn. Lake High School. He enjoyed music, electronics, helping less fortunate people and was a D.J. for the Beverly Home.
He worked at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa. as a custodian for 15 years.
Mr. Forthman previously lived in Hartstown, Pa.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather Ruth and William Burkley of Hartstown, Pa., a sister, Johanna Piate of Cincinnati; three stepsisters, Donna Buckley of Meadville, Pa, Terry Cowan of Saegertown, Pa. and Sandy Palmer of Conn. Lake, Pa.; and a stepbrother, Randy Buckley of Harmonsburg, Pa.
Service is 1 p.m. Monday, at the Randall Funeral Home, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown, Pa., with the Rev. King from Hartstown, Pa., officiating. Calling hours are 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Rocky Glen Cemetery in Adamsville, Pa.
Virginia F. Wallace
SOUTHAMPTON, N.J. - Virginia F. "Wink" Wallace, 67, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2001, at Virtua West Jersey Hospital, Marlton, N.J.
She was born in Sweet Valley, Pa., the daughter of Charles and Helen Ashley.
She resided in the Ashtabula, OH area for many years before moving to New Jersey more than 20 years ago. She was employed as an office cleaner at the Fort Dix Military Base for years and had numerous other jobs.
She enjoyed the company of and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Wallace dedicated much of her time to helping and became "Mom" and "Granmma" to many, running a foster girls home for 10 years ran.
She enjoyed needlepoint, cake decoration, art work, and gardening.
Survivors include two daughters, Lori Pinkerton of New Jersey and Tina Wallace of New York; her mother; five brothers, Robert, Jerry and Stuart Ashley of Ashtabula, William Ashley of Jamestown, Pa., and Jack Ashley of Perry; two sisters, Shirley Andrews of Beach Haven, Pa., and Elizabeth Fredericks of Ashtabula; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Wallace; her father; and a granddaughter, Megan E. Whitsell.
Services were held Sept. 25 in New jersey.

KENNETH J. KALISZEWSKI
PITTSBURGH, PA - Kenneth J. Kaliszewski, 68, of Fourth Street, Andover, died Friday, June 6, 2003, at the VA Pittsburgh Health Care System. He was a long time area resident, working as a cook at various restaurants. No calling hours or services will be held. Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, OH 44003, is in charge of the arrangements.
Lois A. Kemp
ST. CLOUD, Fla. - Lois Ann (Bowler) Kemp, 64, of St. Cloud, Fla., formerly of Andover, OH died on April 6, 2003, at her home.
Born on December 6, 1939, in Imperial, Pa., the daughter of John H. and Bessie W. (Black) Bowler, she was a longtime resident of Beaver County, Pa., but most recently lived in Andover and St. Cloud, Fla.
Survivors include her husband, Paul L. Kemp; four children, Ronald and David Kemp, Paula Emert of Monaca, Pa., and Lisa Sowry of Jefferson; nine grandchildren, Kera, Kassie, William, Tanya and Lacy Kemp, and Andrew and Amanda Emert, and Cody and Courtney Sowry; and one brother, Al Bowler.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, John "Jack" Bowler.
A memorial service will be held at Gabauer Funeral Home, 848 Sunflower Road, Rochester, Pa., on Friday, April 25, 2003, at 2 p.m. There will be a dinner immediately following at the Potter Municipal Building.

Virginia P. Hosken
GREENVILLE, PA - Virginia P. Hosken, 85, of Antler Alley, So. Shenango Township, Jamestown, PA, (formerly of Ireland Rd., Rome, OH), died Monday, June 2, 2003, at UPMC Horizon, Greenville, PA.
Born on February 12, 1918, in Cleveland, OH, she was the daughter of Charles W. and Margaret M. (Bower) Millard. She attended Woodland School in Cleveland.
In 1937 she was marriage to Robert E. Hosken, and was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Margaret (Raymond) King of Jamestown, PA; two sons, Robert E. Hosken II of Mentor, OH, and Richard T. Hosken of Ashtabula, OH; one sister, Gertrude DeLugos of Cleveland; two brothers, George Millard of Eastlake, OH, and Johnny Millard of FL; seven grandchildren, Debra Kitson, Raymond King, Shaun Hosken LaRusch, Timothy Hosken, Brenda Hosken, Robert E. Hosken III, and Kelly Prescott; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert, on September 7, 1991; and three brothers, Robert Millard, Richard Millard, and Wilbur Millard.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Hartsgrove Cemetery, Hartsgrove, OH.

Joseph H. Jones
SEYMOUR, Mo. - Joseph Harold Jones, 89, of Seymour, Mo., died at 11:44 a.m. on Monday, April 21, 2003, in Glenwood Healthcare, Seymour, Mo.
He was born January 22, 1914, in Keepsville, Pa., the son of Jerry Myer Lincoln and Anna Jane (Fulmer) Jones.
Mr. Jones was a retired conductor for Conrail in Ohio and a member of the railroad union.
Joseph was raised in Pennsylvania and had lived many years in Ohio before moving to Seymour, Mo., in the late 1970s. He enjoyed walking, listening to the radio, and motorcycles.
Survivors include two daughters, Eleanor Jean West of Seymour, OH, and Joanne Rocco of Geneva, OH; his grandchildren, Sherry Pay, and Susan, Scott, Jennifer, Charlene and Julie Rocco of Geneva, OH, Joseph (Tammy) Johnson of Pierpont, OH; Christina Gast, Roberta (Donnie) Terrill and Daniel Johnson, all of Seymour, OH; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; two sisters; one great-grandchild; and by his beloved friend Jewel L. Young.
