LEWIS RUN, Pa. - Marion B. Rodebaugh, 92, formerly of Ashtabula, died Sunday, July 28, 2002, at Bradford Ecumenical Home in Bradford, Pa.
Mrs. Rodebaugh was born July 26, 1910, in Madison, the daughter of Earl and Blanche (Atkin) Busse.
She marriage Walter J. Rodebaugh on Dec. 28, 1933, in Ashtabula. He died on July 1, 1993.
She graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1928 and later earned her teaching certificate from Kent State University. She was a member of the National Teachers Association and taught for many years in the Ashtabula Area City Schools system.
Mrs. Rodebaugh was a former member of Saybrook Methodist Church in Saybrook Township and the Sebastian (Fla.) United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her two sons, James W. Rodebaugh of Lewis Run, Pa., and John E. Rodebaugh of Lake Forest, Calif.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel in the Bradford Ecumenical Home, 100 St. Francis Drive, Bradford, Pa., with The Rev. Stephen Moore of Bradford Area Parish officiating.
Burial will be in Saybrook Township Cemetery, Ashtabula.
No calling hours will be observed.
Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. of Bradford, Pa., is handling the arrangements.
Mason H. Bixler
SPRINGBORO, Pa. - Mason H. Bixler, 86, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at Rolling Fields Inc., Conneautville, Pa.
He was born Dec. 28, 1914, in Painesville, the son of David and Christine (Alstrom) Bixler. He had lived in Leroy Township and Painesville, as well as Pennsylvania for the past 25 years.
He marriage Marion Alstrom on Nov. 27, 1963, in Willoughby.
Mr. Bixler worked as a self-employed sawmill operator prior to retirement. He also operated a dairy farm. He enjoyed camping.
Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Phillip Hausmann of Springboro, Pa.; three stepdaughters, Jeanne Deak of Chardon, Annabell Pierce of Geneva, and Mary E. Nelson of Eastlake; 13 step-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Alma Dill of Willoughby, and twins Edith Cahill of Concord Township and Edna Goodfield of Leroy Township; and a brother, Charles of Yellville, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepson, Albert Hausmann; a step-grandson, Joshua Slocum; two sisters, Bernice Manley and Marian Reynolds; and a brother, Ellias.
Service is noon Thursday at the Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, with the Rev. Jimmie D. Walker of People's Church, Geneva, officiating. Burial will be in Harpersfield Cemetery, Harpersfield Township.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Janie M. Whitt
SHARON, Pa. - Janie Marie Whitt, 66, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at her home.
She was born Nov. 19, 1935, in Dixie Creek, Va., the daughter of Edward and Vivian Ida (Horne) Hash.
She had been a Sharon, Pa., resident for the past three years. She had also lived in Painesville and the Ashtabula area.
In her younger years, she worked for Wayside Gardens, Mentor, and for the Holiday Inn in the housekeeping department.
Mrs. Whitt loved fishing gardening, reading, flowers and cooking.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Sotopacheco of Sharon, Pa. and Pamela Oquendo of Ashtabula; four sons, Daniel of Fairport Harbor, James of Seattle, Wash., Timothy of Sharon, Pa., and Robert of Ashtabula; 27 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Harry of Aberdeen, Md., Robert of Detroit, Mich., Edward of Sharon, Pa., Jack of Dry Fork, Va., and Charlie of Belmont, N.C.; and two sisters, Margaret Harmon of Doran, Va., and Alice Pauley of Bluefield, W. Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Lee, on Nov. 27, 1997; two grandsons, Cameron and Duke Whitt, in infancy; a sister, Bonnie Sue Hash, in infancy; two brothers, Lloyd Henry and Billy Clarence Hash; and her parents.
Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Kenneth Roberts of the Pentecostal Church of God, officiating.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Barbara White
ALBION, Pa. - Barbara E. White, 60, of Meadow Drive, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, in St. Vincent Medical Center, Erie, Pa.
She was born May 29, 1941, in Conneaut, a daughter of George and Althea N. (Parker) Goodiel, and had lived in Medina before moving to Albion seven years ago.
She received an associates degree in business administration from Erie Business Center. She enjoyed doing puzzles, collecting pewter pieces, arts and crafts and the computer.
Survivors include her mother of Albion; a daughter, Sheryl Huntsman of Millcreek, Pa.; three sons, Kenneth Brown of Raiford, Fla., Jesse Brown of Scottsburg, Ind., and John of Lake City, Pa.; three sisters, Linda Taylor of Albion, Janet Van Hagen of Courtsite, Ariz., and Ruth Allen of North Kingsville; a brother, Fred Goodiel of Jamestown, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.
Her father preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.
Steven L. Stives
FAIRVIEW Pa. - Steven L. Stives, 48, of West Springfield Pa., died Friday, March 28, 2003, at Pleasant Ridge Manor, Fairview Pa.
He was born in New York on Sept. 30, 1954, the son of Willard L. and Helen M. (Canfield)Stives.
He worked at Custom Engineering Co. in Erie, as a welder for more than 12 years and attended the Federated Church in East Springfield. He was the first president of Northwestern Sportsmen’s Club after reorganization and was a member ever since. He also enjoyed golfing, woodworking, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his mother; a brother Michael L. Stives; and his partner, Nancy Taylor of West Springfield.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Richard Stives.
Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, at Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home, 11883 Main St., E. Springfield, Pa., 16411.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home, the Pastor Ed Huntley of Federated Church and Pastor Gerald Haines of Fellowship Baptist Church of Machias, New York, officiating.
Burial will be in Springfield Cemetery, E. Springfield Pa.

Mason H. Bixler
SPRINGBORO, Pa - Mason H. Bixler, 86, of Hilltop Road, Springboro, Pa., died Sunday Jan. 27, 2002, at Rolling Fields, Inc., Conneautville, Pa.
He was born Dec. 28, 1914, in Painesville, the son of David and Christine (Alstrom) Bixler.
Mr. Bixler had lived in Leroy and Painesville before moving to Pennsylvania the last 25 years.

John A. Alisesky III
PITTSBURGH - John A. Alisesky III, 2, of Imperial, Pa., died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born May 4, 1998 in Pittsburgh, the son of Todd W. and Amy K. (Dietrich) Alisesky.
Survivors include his parents, of Imperial, Pa.; maternal grandparents, Donald and Sharon Dietrich of Jefferson; paternal grandparents, John and Rose Alisesky of Robinson Township, Pa.; and maternal great-grandparents, Donald and Delores Dietrich of Jefferson, and May and Walter Brobach of Geneva.
Service will be Saturday at the Valley Presbyterian Church, Imperial, Pa. The Rev. Thomas Petrosky will officiate. Interment will be in Chariers Cemetery.
Visitation will be noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Thomas-Little Funeral Service Inc., Main St., Imperial, Pa.
