PITTSBURGH - Joseph A. Klokoc, 63, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
A long-time New Lyme Township resident, he was born on Aug. 23, 1937 in Cleveland, the son of Vigtor and Bozena (Hula) Klokoc.
He marriage Bessie L. Fink on Sept. 13, 1969.
Mr. Klokoc was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Canberra.
He was employed by the Stone Container Co., Jefferson, for more than 30 years. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 943, Ashtabula, the United Paper Workers Union, the AFL-CIO-CLC, and the Sheffield Grange.
Mr. Klokoc especially loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Ardie B. Lynagh Jr., of Ashtabula; two brothers, James Ward of Oberlin and Anthony of Ashtabula; sister, Elizabeth Scolinski of California; two grandsons, Ardie B. Lynagh III and Charles J. Lynagh; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Victor, Laddie, and Frank; and an infant sister.
Graveside services is 11 a.m. Thursday at Richmond Center Cemetery, Richmond Township.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover.
Anna Valenzo
PITTSBURGH - Anna Valenzo, 81, long-time visitor to the area, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, in Pittsburgh.
She and her husband, Mike, owned property in Geneva-on-the-Lake for 60 years.
Survivors include her husband and stepchildren Jo Ann and Bob Pittenger, and Patricia and Bob Park.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today, and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Winter Funeral Home, 4730 Friendship Ave., Pittsburgh.
Mary E. White
NAPLES, Fla. - Former Albion, Pa., resident Mary E. White, 77, of Naples, Fla., died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, at Naples Community Hospital in Naples.
She was born Dec. 19, 1923, in Conneaut, the daughter of Charley E. and Gladys (King) Brooks.
She worked for the Model Works in Girard, Pa., and owned and operated White and Sons Dairy Farm in Cherry Hill, Pa., and Albion for many years.
A 1941 graduate of West Springfield High School, she was a member of the West Springfield United Methodist Church and the Cherry Hill Grange.
She enjoyed reading, cooking, watching sports and traveling.
Survivors include her husband, Russell H., whom she marriage Feb. 14, 1942; two daughters, Joyce Stewart of Gulfport, Miss., and Shirley Nelson of Elko, Nev.; two sons, Howard White of Albion, and Richard White of Okinawa, Japan; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Len, Elwyn, Dale and Robert Brooks; and two sisters, Devena Bossard and Ilo Eddy.
Service is 10 a.m. Saturday at the Jean Evans Thompson Funeral Home, 11883 Main St., East Springfield, Pa. The Rev. Bob Klingler, of the West Springfield United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Springfield Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the West Springfield United Methodist Church, School Street, West Springfield, Pa., 16443; or a favorite charity.
Marie Lena Oakes
ERIE, PA - Marie Lena Oakes, 81, of West Springfield, PA, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA.
Born in Edinboro, PA, on September 18, 1921, she was the daughter of Leonard Leroy and Emma Scobey Stancliff.
Mrs. Oakes attended Edinboro Normal School and later received two Certificates of Biblical Studies from Liberty University. She was a member of the Girard Free Methodist Church, the American Sunday School Union, and was a second lieutenant in the American Rescue Workers.
She was marriage to the Rev. Byron Robert Oakes with whom she partnered in several church ministries: Savannah, Georgia, Free Methodist Church; Hamilton Corners Free Methodist Church; Cottage Hill Church; Pennline Church; and the Girard Free Methodist Church. They were also caretakers at Peniel Holiness Campgrounds in Conneautville, PA.
She enjoyed flower gardening, reading, crafts, and collecting stuffed animals and salt and pepper shakers. She was active in missionary work, and was a member of the support group at Brown Memorial Hospital in Conneautville for many years. She was also a member of the American Rescue Workers Mission in Meadville.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Byron Robert Oakes; four daughters, Lois Marie Brutto, Janet Louise Dobbeck, Joyce Elaine Loutzenhizer and her husband, Keith, and Carol Oakes Jenkins and her husband, Dean; two sons, Ronald Paul McMillen and his wife, Elaine, and Byron E. Oakes and his wife, Susan; twenty-four grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Jessie Elizabeth Werren, Frances Martha Crozier, Ruth Harriett Butterfield, and Hazel Lenora Oakes; three brothers, Arthur Stancliff, Clarence (Tommy) Stancliff, and Walter Stancliff; and three grandchildren, Kimberly Ann McMillen, Ronald (Fuzzy) McMillen, and Paul David Frye.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 East Main Street in Girard, PA, today, May 29, 2003, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and are invited to attend a service there on Friday, May 30, 2003, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. David Hockey, pastor of Conneaut Free Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Girard Cemetery. Memorials on her behalf may be made to the Conneaut Free Methodist Church, 236 Buffalo Street, Conneaut, OH 44030, or the Pleasantville Free Methodist Campground, c/o Conneaut Free Methodist Church.
Margaret Willis Madsen
OCOEE, FL - Margaret Willis Madsen, 83, of Montverde, FL, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at Health Central Hospital, in Ocoee, FL.
Born on April 18, 1920, in Boswell, PA, she was the daughter of Clarence and Gertrude (Showalter) Walker.
She was a Branch Manager of the former Geneva NEO Bank, and was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Geneva before moving to FL permanently, in 1993.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest Madsen; one son, Lawrence Willis of Ashtabula; five stepchildren, Steven, Richard, James and Mark Madsen, and Judith Wilcox; one sister, Gay Webster of Tonawanda, NY; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ralph Willis, in 1984; three brothers, Woodrow, Lewis, and Robert Walker; and one sister, Isabelle McAchren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2003, at Kennedy-Billman Funeral Home, 323 South Broadway, Geneva, with the Rev. Charles Althoff, of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2003, at Kennedy-Billman Funeral Home, Geneva. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Charles F. Foster
JUPITER, Fla. - Charles F. Foster, 79, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at Hospice of Palm Beach County, West Palm Beach, Fla.
Born July 26, 1923, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Samuel R. and Irene (Hohenstein) Foster.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he served in the Pacific Theater on the USS Noa during World War II.
An electrical engineer in Philadelphia, Mr. Foster retired in 1988 after more than 45 years. He was an avid golfer and member of the Ballen Isles Country Club, Palm Beach Gardens.
In 1973, he and his wife were awarded the national Bell Ringer Award by the Ford Motor Co. for outstanding civic and community service.
Survivors include his wife, B. Lorraine (Hartmann), of Jupiter, whom he marriage on Jan. 11, 1947, in Berlin, N.J.; three daughters, Nan F. Burr of Chardon, Janet M. Garafano of Maplewood, N.J., and Joan A. Waldner of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; six grandchildren, Marc and Andrew Burr, Stacie and Peter Garafano, and Jaileen and Elizabeth Waldner; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Cecilia and Irene Gould; and three brothers, Samuel, Allen and Stephen Foster.
Service is at noon Thursday at Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St., Riverton, N.J. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Philadelphia.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday.

Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Chardon is handling the local arrangements.
Fred W. Good
CAMERON, N.C. - Fred W. Good, 61, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
He was born in Linesville, Pa., and was a former area resident. He was an Army veteran and worked as a former North Kingsville police officer.
Survivors include his mother, Laura (Burt) Good of Ashtabula, Ohio; his wife, Frances (Deese); a daughter, Julia Armstrong of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; two sons, Curtis of Hampton, Va., and Mark of Cameron, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Gloria Hammond of Ashtabula.
Service is 2 p.m. Friday at Red Branch Baptist Church, with the Rev. D.C. Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at the church Cemetery.
Calling hours are 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Fry and Prickett Funeral Home, Carthage, N.C.
