Virginia P. Hosken
GREENVILLE, PA - Virginia P. Hosken, 85, of Antler Alley, So. Shenango Township, Jamestown, PA, (formerly of Ireland Rd., Rome, OH), died Monday, June 2, 2003, at UPMC Horizon, Greenville, PA.
Born on February 12, 1918, in Cleveland, she was the daughter of Charles W. and Margaret M. (Bower) Millard. She attended Woodland School in Cleveland.
In 1937 she was marriage to Robert E. Hosken, and was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Margaret (Raymond) King of Jamestown, PA; two sons, Robert E. Hosken II of Mentor, and Richard T. Hosken of Ashtabula; one sister, Gertrude DeLugos of Cleveland; two brothers, George Millard of Eastlake, and Johnny Millard of FL; seven grandchildren, Debra Kitson, Raymond King, Shaun Hosken LaRusch, Timothy Hosken, Brenda Hosken, Robert E. Hosken III, and Kelly Prescott; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert, on September 7, 1991; and three brothers, Robert Millard, Richard Millard, and Wilbur Millard.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Hartsgrove Cemetery, Hartsgrove, OH.
Arrangements were handled by the Loutzenhiser-Jordan Colonial Funeral Home, 366-368 So. Main Street, Greenville, PA 16125.

Edward Clayton Hunt
DURHAM, N.C.- Edward Clayton Hunt, 65, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001 at Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Born Jan. 5, 1936, in Meadville, Pa., he was a son of William and Madge Hunt.
He was educated in Ohio, attending Kingsville High School.
He marriage in 1959 and had six children. Another daughter was born in 1980. In 1987, he marriage his wife, Renetta, who had a daughter from a previous marriage.
Throughout his life, Mr. Hunt was a seaman, machinist, farmer, bus driver and truck driver.
Survivors include five children, Michael Hunt, Rhonda Cole and Edward Hunt Jr. of North Carolina, Mark Hunt of California, and Jackie of Ohio; five grandchildren; two brothers, Dave of Rossiter, Pa., and Kenneth of Kingsville; and four sisters Dorothy Rice of Erie, Pa., Grace Armstrong of Conneaut, Laura Beers of Meadville, Pa., and Marilyn Nappier of Cambridge Springs, Pa.;
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Albert and William; a son, Donald; and a daughter, Shawnda
Memorial service is today at the home of his daughter Rhonda Cole, Durham, N.C.

Mary A. Barnum
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Mary A. Barnum, 85, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002, at the Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Cape Coral, Fla.
She was born Dec. 19, 1916, in Moravia, Pa., the daughter of Walter and Mary (Moltz) Wigley.
She had been a resident of Chardon and Geneva for more than 50 years before moving to Fort Myers in 1993.
Mrs. Barnum was a homemaker and was an avid collector of antiques.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Sawyer of Middlefield, and Joan White of Fort Myers; a son, James of Fort Myers; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lillian Cowles of West Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Forest "Curly"; her parents; six brothers; and four sisters.
A private family memorial service will be held. Burial will be in Chardon Municipal Cemetery.

Ted J. Passmore
CONNEAUTVILLE, PA - Ted J. Passmore, 68, of Stateline Road, Conneautville, PA, died on Friday, August 1, 2003, at his home from injuries received in a tractor accident.
Born in Cleveland on October 26, 1934, he was the son of David A. and Anna R. (Polgar) Passmore, he had resided in Monroe Township, Ohio and the Conneautville area most of his life.
Mr. Passmore was employed by Rockwell International in Ashtabula, Ohio for 36 years as a tow-motor operator, and also drove truck for Bob Crandall and Ed Mathews.
He was a member of St. Mary's Church, and had also served in the Ohio National Guard. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, camping, and being around his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed taking care of his dogs.
Survivors include his wife, the former Elizabeth Szalai, to whom he had been marriage for the past 50 years; two daughters, Karen and her husband Thomas Knauff of Pierpont, Ohio, and Kathie Bradnan of Monroe Township, Ohio; three sons, David Passmore, Brian and his wife Alicia Passmore, all of Pierpont, and Ted and his wife Carrollanne of Covalis, MT; two sisters, Rita Paulson of Freemont, OH, and Marie Greene of Garfield Heights, OH; and nine grandchildren, Ted, and Justin Knauff, Jordan, and Phoebe Passmore, Mikahla Passmore, Matthew, Brittnay, and David Bradnan, and Ashley Hakkarainen.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian E. Passmore.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the THOMPSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 345 Main Street, Conneaut, OH, with the Rev. Raymond Thomas, pastor of St. Mary's Church, officiating. Internment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Pierpont.
Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Monday, August 4, 2003, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Danny R. Davis
WEST SPRINGFIELD, Pa. - Danny Ray Davis, 41, of West Springfield, Pa., died at his home Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2001, of cancer following an eight-month illness.
He was born March 6, 1960, in Akron, a son of Melvin Davis and Betty (Derkovich) Morris.
A 21-year area resident, Mr. Davis had been employed as a chef at Hickerson's Restaurant, and had also worked at General Aluminum and Lukjan Metals.
He was a member of the West Springfield, Pa., Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Fraternal Order of eagles Aerie # 408 of Conneaut, and a former member of the Moose Club.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and country music.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Nancy Davis of Marlinton, W. Va.; his mother, of Wooster; his wife, Debra (Smith), whom he marriage Aug. 3, 1985; two sisters, Lisa Bozitch of Euclid, Ohio, and Della Wharton of Conneaut, Ohio; two brothers, Melvin Davis Jr., of Tulsa, Okla., and Rick Davis of Applecreek, Ohio; and a granddaughter, Destiny.
He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Ray Davis Jr.; and his grandmother, Josephine Derkovich.
Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Conneaut, Ohio.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Orcutt R. Ward
SPARTANSBURG, Pa. - Orcutt R. "Junior" Ward, 84, died Thursday, March 29, 2001, at Titusville Hospital in Titusville, Pa.
He was born March 23, 1917, in Wayne Township, the son of Orcutt R. Ward Sr. and Hazel (Dean) Sweet Ward.
Formerly of Wayne Township and Shreveport, La., Mr. Ward had lived in the Spartansburg area for the past several years. His family was among the earliest Wayne Township settlers coming to the area in 1805.
Mr. Ward was a 1935 graduate of Wayne High School. He was a tool and die maker and owned his own shop, Quality Machine Co. in Shreveport, for more than 40 years.
He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years most recently in Tidioute, Pa.
An accomplished musician, Mr. Ward played the guitar, mandolin and banjo and was a member of the "Seven Maniacs" group in Ashtabula County many years ago. He also played in the U.S. Navy Band and several Shriners groups. Mr. Ward was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Ward of Brooklyn; a daughter, Patricia Brown of Pittsfield, Pa.; three sons, Reed L. Ward of Phoenix, Ariz., Stanley Ward of Mundelein, Ill., and William R. Ward of Midland, Texas; and many grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three wives, Madeline (Risley) Ward, Louise (Miller) Ward, and Mamie (White) Ward; two sisters, Velma (Lewis) O'Donnell and Mabel Kellogg; a brother, Garland Sweet; and two infant brothers.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. today at the First Congregational Church of Wayne. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to The Salvation Army, 4631 Main Ave., Ashtabula Ohio 44004 or First Congregational Church of Wayne, Route 193, Williamsfield Ohio 44093.
Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, is in charge of arrangements.
