Mary E. Bowman
Retired secretary

YORK - Mary E. Bowman, 89, of Spring Garden Township, died Sunday morning at her home.
The service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Baumeister, Orcutt and Small Mortuaries Inc., South Queen and Jackson streets, York.
Burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery in Newberrytown. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
Miss Bowman was born Sept. 2, 1909, in Pike Township. She was the daughter of the late Jonathan and Edna S. (Bloom) Bowman.
She was a retired secretary, having worked for Attorney Arthur Markowitz.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, charter member of Alpha Iota Sorority, graduate of York Junior College and had attended Indiana Normal School in Indiana.
Miss Bowman is survived by a niece and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 340 E. Market St., York 17403.

Carl W. Fenninger Jr.

SANDY SPRING, Md. - Carl W. Fenninger Jr., 86, of Sandy Spring, Md., formerly of York, died at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Friends House Nursing Home in Sandy Springs.
He was the husband of Natalie V. Fenninger and the late Mary C. (Castle) Fenninger.
The Baumeister, Orcutt and Small Mortuaries Inc., South Queen and Jackson streets, York, is in charge of arrangements, which were incomplete.

Herbert W. Frankenfield
U.S. Army veteran

BOWIE, Md. - Herbert W. Frankenfield, 76, of 17610 Central Ave., Bowie, Md., formerly of New Oxford and Hanover, died Monday at Washington Adventist Hospital in Tacoma Park, Md.
He was the husband of Clara V. (Thomas) Frankenfield, who died Aug. 13.
The service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Feiser Funeral Home Inc., 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford.
Burial will be in New Oxford Cemetery.
Viewings will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, Md., and 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the Feiser Funeral Home.
Mr. Frankenfield was born Sept. 28, 1922, in New Oxford.
He was the son of the late Robert D. and Lulu E. (Rhineheimer) Frankenfield.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Frankenfield is survived by a son, Steven J. Frankenfield of Bowie; a daughter, Judy L. Brent of Charleston, S.C.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Angela Cooley-Bulhof, pastor of Conewago Circuit of United Methodist Churches.

Kathe Krill
Dining room hostess

NORTH YORK - Kathe Krill, 61, of North York, died April 29 at her home.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Advent Lutheran Church, 1775 E. Market St., York.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
The Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York, is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Krill was born Oct. 9, 1937, in Danzig, Germany.
She was a dining room hostess for McDonald's Corp. on Memory Lane in York.
Ms. Krill is survived by two sons, Klaus D. Krill of York RD 9 and Ricky K. Krill; three daughters, Barbara Stambaugh of Dover, Regina R. Kessler of York RD 9 and Tammy Lewis of Chambersburg; and 11 grandchildren.
Ms. Krill was preceded in death by a daughter, Sylvia Krill, who died in 1964.
Officiating will be the Rev. Richard L. Ehrhart, associate pastor of Advent Lutheran Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Advent Lutheran Church, 1775 E. Market St., York 17402.

Hulda O. Norris
Born in Peach Bottom Township

DELTA - Hulda O. Norris, 93, of Delta, died at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday at York County Nursing Home.
She was the wife of Thomas W. Norris, who died in 1976.
The service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Harkins Funeral Home Inc., 600 Main St., Delta.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Norris was born Jan. 17, 1906, in Peach Bottom Township.
She was the daughter of the late Andrew Ramsay and Miriam (Norris) Smith.
She was a former nurse's aide at York County Nursing Home and worked on the family dairy farm with her husband for many years.
Mrs. Norris is survived by three sisters, Olive R. Steele of York, Essie M. Smith of Delta and Edith Pierce of Joppa, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Richard Leonard of Salem United Methodist Church.

Raymond L. Smith

DOVER - Raymond L. Smith, 83, of Dover, died at 3:15 p.m. Monday at his home.
He was the husband of Velzetta I. (Hughes) Smith.
The Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover, is in charge of arrangements, which were incomplete.

Betty A. Williams
Inspector

YORK - Betty A. (Roelke) Williams of York, died Saturday at her home.
She was the wife of the late Amer Williams.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the Second Church of the Brethren, 869 E. Princess St., York.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing.
The Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Williams was born in York.
She was the daughter of the late William E. and Ethel May (Scheffer) Roelke.
She was an inspector for York Casket Co. and worked for the former Bernstein Sewing Factory in York.
She was a member of the Second Church of the Brethren, Jolly Seniors of York, Mall Walkers of the Galleria Mall and American Legion Auxiliary in Pleasureville.
Mrs. Williams is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Furst of Dover and Anna May Groves of Georgia; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Officiating at the service will be Pastor Courtland Howard.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 2040 Linglestown Road, Suite 106, Harrisburg 17110; or to Hospice Preferred Choice, 4813 Jonestown Road, Suite 211, Harrisburg 17109.
