Clifford H. Kennedy
Clifford H. Kennedy, 79, of 270 White Oak Tree Road, York Springs, died on Thursday, Dec. 14 at Shepherd’s Choice Nursing Center, Gettysburg.
Born March 1, 1921 in Adams County, he was the son of the late Robert M. and Marion E. Miller Kennedy.
He is the survived by his wife of 57 years, Romaine I. Wolf Kennedy.
He was a member of the Mt. Olivet UCC in East Berlin and had been employed by ConRail in Harrisburg for 32 years.
He farmed in the York Springs area most of his life.
He was a member of the Gettysburg Moose Lodge #1562; a life member of the NRA; a member of AARP.
He is survived by two daughters, Lorraine E. Chronister and Vivian K. Schoffstall, both of York Springs; two sons, William B. Kennedy of East Berlin and Wendall H. Kennedy of York Springs; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert M. Kennedy Jr. of Gettysburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 18 at Monahan Funeral Home in York Springs, with the Rev. Arthur Ziegler officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Olivet UCC Cemetery, East Berlin.
Friends may call the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17.

Nathaniel T. Wallen
Nathaniel Theodore Wallen, infant son of Edward C. Jr. and Lori Toomey Wallen of New Oxford, died at birth Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Hanover Hospital.
Surviving in addition to his parents are paternal grandparents, Darlene and Edward C. Wallen Sr. of New Oxford and maternal grandmother, E. Jean Toomey of Hanover.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Theodore Toomey.
A private funeral service will be held at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
Wetzel Funeral Home, Hanover, is in charge of the arrangements.

Charles T. Kemper
Charles T. Kemper, 60, of 179 Topper Road, Fairfield, died Sunday, Jan. 21 at Gettysburg Hospital.
Born Nov. 12, 1940 in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late Issac and Esther Kepner Kemper.
He was the husband of Judy Rentsel Kemper.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was a self-employed poultry farmer most of his life.
He was a life member of the Emmitsburg American Legion Post 121 and the Fairfield AMVETS Post 172.
He was a member of the Blue Ridge Sportsman’s Association and the Saxton VFW.
He is survived by a daughter, Vicky L. Fraley of Galesburg, Ill; and a brother, Kenneth Kemper of Rouzerville.
He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Kemper.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25, at Monahan Funeral Home, 27 E. Main St., Fairfield.
Interment will be in Fairfield Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.

Deborah A. Groft Yealy
Deborah A. (Groft) Yealy, 48, of East Berlin, died Monday, Jan. 22 at her home.
Born, Aug. 12, 1952 in Gettysburg, she was the daughter of the late Francis L. and A. Romaine (McGlaughlin) Groft and is survived by her husband, Terry L. Yealy.
She graduated from Gettysburg High School, Class of 1970 and was employed by United Defense, York, for 23 years.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, East Berlin.
She is also survived by a step-daughter, Trecia A. Yealy of Manchester.
She was predeceased by a step-daughter, Tracy L. Yealy.
She is survived by four brothers, Richard “Spider” Groft of Hanover, Edward Groft, George Groft and Timothy Groft, all of Gettysburg; two sisters, Vicki McMahan of Boiling Springs, Connie Stonesifer of Gettysburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25 from Trinity Lutheran Church, East Berlin, with her pastor, Rev. William L. Lindsay officiating.
Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at Feiser Funeral Home, 306 Harrisburg St., East Berlin.

Ethel E. Sager
Ethel E. Sager, 91, of York and formerly of York Springs and Gettysburg, died Monday, Jan. 22 at York Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Sager.
The Peters Funeral Home, Gettysburg, is in charge of the arrangements, which are incomplete.
Lynn E. Smith
Lynn E. Smith, 87, of 156 Old U.S. 15, York Springs, died Monday, Jan. 22 at Gettysburg Hospital.
Arrangements, being made through Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, are incomplete.
Dorsey E. West
Funeral services for Dorsey Eugene West, 90, of 595 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg, who died Monday at Green Acres, were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Prince of Peace Episcopal Church, with Father Andrew Sherman officiating.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael Cheek, Donald Cheek, David Cheek, Douglas Wray, Elizabeth Wray, and Laura Dieter.
Firing squad and color guard were provided by the Allied Veterans of Adams County from American Legion Post 202, Hugh A. Clarkin – chaplain, Howard G. Guise, David B. Spahr, John E. Maus, and Dave S. Sharrah Jr.; from the VFW Post 15, Joe Staub, George Burkett, and Ray Youngblood; and from American Legion Post 262, Ken Williams, Mike White, Elwood Lochman, Tim Sease, and Richard Kitner.
The bugler was Steven R. Cross.
