Dr. William L. Larcamp
Dr. William L. Larcamp, 75, of 125 Ridgewood Drive, Gettysburg, died Wednesday, June 6, at Meritcare Hospital, Fargo, N.D.
Born July 31, 1924 in Portsmouth, Ohio, he was the son of Fred and Genevieve Castor Larcamp.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Cox Larcamp.
He was a member and Elder of the Gettysburg Presbyterian Church.
He received his bachelors, masters, and Ph.D. from Ohio State University.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy.
He was employed as a chemical engineer at Union Carbide Corporation in South Charleston, W.Va. for 32 years.
He was also employed by Pitney-Bowes in Stanford, Conn. for several years.
He was a member of various chemical engineering societies and the Gettysburg Torch Club.
He is also survived by a son, Daniel L. Larcamp of Falls Church, Va.; a daughter, Jane A. Campbell of Seattle, Wash.; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 12, at Gettysburg Presbyterian Church, 208 Baltimore St., Gettysburg, with the Rev. Dr. Daniel T. Hans officiating.
Private interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg.
The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.

Ina B. Jacobs
Ina B. Jacobs, 92, formerly of Hanover, died Thursday, June 7, at Dallastown Manor Care Nursing Center, Dallastown.
Born Nov. 18, 1908 in York, she was the daughter of the late Harry D. and Florence M. E. Shaffer Hoover.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Sanderson A. Jacobs, in 1990.
She is survived by a son, Dr. Albert H. Jacobs of Hanover; a grandson; a granddaughter; and a sister, Lois Phillips of Blountville, Tenn.
She was predeceased by a brother, Erwin D. Hoover.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, June 10, at Mummert’s Meeting House Cemetery, East Berlin, with the Rev. William Pinkermell officiating.
There will be no viewing.
Kenworthy Funeral Home, Hanover, is in charge of the arrangements.
Glenn M. ‘Mac’ McIlwee
Glenn M. “Mac” McIlwee, 86, of Kansas City, Mo., died Friday, June 8, at the Research Medical Center.
Born Sept. 20, 1914 in Shennandoah, Va., he was the son of Lonnie Bliss and Ella Keller McIlwee.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jeane Newell McIlwee.
He graduated from New Oxford High School in 1932.
He co-owned and operated a grocery store in Cave Town, Md., until he was drafted in 1941 to serve in the O.M. Transportation Company, 8th Army and shipped out on the Lusitania, which landed in Port Said, Egypt in October 1942.
He served at Camp Russell B. Huckstep until October 1945.
Following the service he was employed by Kroger Food Company, where he was a store manager until 1964.
He then began to farm in the Valley Falls vicinity until recently.
In 1968, he was awarded the Bankers Outstanding Farm Award for Jefferson County.
He was a member of the 148th O.M. Truck Company Veterans Association, the Disabled Veterans Association, the Nelson-Atkins Friends of Arts, the Hottel-Keller Memorial in Winchester, Va., and the Crusaders Class at Central United Methodist Church.
He is also survived by a son, Marshall McIlwee; a granddaughter; two step-grandsons; two step-granddaughters; two sisters, Hazel Chronister of Hanover and Mildred Sterner of New Oxford; and a brother, Paul McIlwee of New Oxford; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Boyd W. McIlwee and Carl C. McIlwee.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, at Central United Methodist Church, 5144 Oak, Kansas City, Mo.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice or to the Crusaders Sunday School class at the church.
Arrangements are being handled through the Mount Moriah and Freeman Chapel.
LeRoy W. Wantz
LeRoy W. Wantz, 87, of Littlestown, died Thursday, June 7, at Gettysburg Hospital.
Born Feb. 11, 1914 in Rocky Ridge, Md., he was the son of the late William J. and Nettie Mae Gearhart Wantz.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Ella Cutsail Wantz.
He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Taneytown, Md. and the Hanover Republican Club.
He was a former member of the Church Consistory.
He retired from Cambridge Rubber Company, Taneytown.
He is survived by two step-brothers, Howard Welty and Norville Welty, both of Taneytown; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 11 at Grace United Church of Christ, Taneytown, with the Rev. J. Keith DeBord officiating.
Interment will be in the church Cemetery.
Friends may call at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Church of Christ Accessibility Fund, 49 W. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD 21787.
Doris W. Adams
Funeral services for Doris W. Adams, 70, of 205 S. Howard Ave., Gettysburg, who died Monday, June 4 at Gettysburg Hospital, were held Friday, June 8 at Great Conewago Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Donald Mitchell officiating.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg.
Pallbearers were Brad Adams, Sheryl Weslager, Scott Crouse, Brian Riley, Jim Winebrenner, and Wendell Winebrenner.
Monahan Funeral Home, Gettysburg, was in charge of the arrangements.
