Leona J. Rearick, 63, of rural Port Matilda died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Centre Community Hospital.
Born Feb. 23, 1939, in Port Matilda, she was a daughter of the late Harry E. Sr. and Blanche Bishop Cowher. On Aug. 13, 1953, at Carson's Corner in rural State College, she marriage Joseph G. Rearick Sr., who survives at home.
She was a homemaker and for 141/2 years she was a caregiver for deaf children.
She attended Fountain of Life Church in rural Philipsburg.
She enjoyed sewing and taking care of her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Joseph G. Rearick Jr., Darrell E. Rearick and Randy C. Rearick, all of rural Port Matilda; a sister, Harriet E. Cowher of Julian; a brother, Harry E. Cowher Jr. of rural Port Matilda; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
An infant son and two sisters preceded her in death.
A private graveside service was held Friday, May 31, at Black Oak Cemetery in rural Port Matilda.
Beezer-Heath Funeral Home in Philipsburg handled the arrangements.

Kathryn M. Martin
Kathryn M. Martin, 79, of Bellefonte, formerly of Jacksonville, died Friday, May 31, 2002, at Centre Crest nursing home in Bellefonte.
Born Jan. 4, 1922, in Marion Township, she was a daughter of the late John Henry and Margaret Glossner. On April 24, 1952, in Shenandoah, she marriage William C. Martin, who died Jan. 22, 1986.
She was a homemaker.
She had attended Coleville Wesleyan Church.
She enjoyed word search puzzles and spending time with people.
She is survived by four daughters, Grace Condo of Port Matilda, Betty Frey and Shirley Cowher, both of Millmont, and Mary Bowes of rural Howard; a son, Charles Martin of Lewistown; a sister, Pearl Simco of Bellefonte; two brothers, John Glossner of Jacksonville and Wilbur Glossner of Centre Hall; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 1 to
2 p.m. Sunday at W. Robert Neff Funeral Home, 837 Main St., Howard.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Pastor Kenneth L. Lynn officiating.
Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery, Marion Township, at the convenience of the family.

Laura Frances Saggese
Laura Frances Saggese, 83, of Philipsburg died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Philipsburg Area Hospital.
Born Aug. 10, 1918, in Weedville, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Elsie Kline. She marriage John J. Campbell, who preceded her in death, and William F. Saggese, who died April 27, 1994.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Community Alliance Church of Karthaus.
She is survived by a son, Preston Campbell of Philipsburg; two stepsons, Gerald Saggese of Philipsburg and Leon Zelensky of Allport; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Two sons, John and Spencer Campbell; two stepsons, William R. Saggese and Eugene Zelensky; a sister and two brothers preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 6 to
9 p.m. Sunday and form 1 to
2 p.m. Monday at Strange and Weaver Home for Funerals, Deer Creek Road, Morrisdale.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of the funeral home, with the Rev. Jack E. Waite officiating.
Burial will be in Clover Run-Mount Carmel Cemetery, Mahaffey.
J. Irene Yetter
J. Irene Yetter, 80, of Smullton died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Centre Community Hospital.
Born March 3, 1922, in Smullton, Miles Township, she was a daughter of the late John B. and Mary Weber Wert. On June 12, 1943, she marriage Elmer J. "Bucky" Yetter, who died Aug. 4, 1999.
In 1940, she graduated from Miles Township High School.
She was a homemaker.
A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Rebersburg, she was a member of Ladies Aid.
She enjoyed word puzzles, card games, African violets and other house plants.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna J. Blesh and Sandra E. Johnson, both of Rebersburg, and Deeann L. Zimmerman of Howard; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A sister and a brother preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Millheim.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Rebersburg.

Gino P. Fornicola
Gino P. Fornicola, 72, of Bellefonte died Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Centre Community Hospital.
Born July 7, 1929, in Bellefonte, he was a son of the late Carmen A. and Filomena Campagna Fornicola. On Dec. 27, 1954, in Bellefonte, he marriage V. Elizabeth "Beth" Mensch, who survives at home.
He was a 1947 graduate of Bellefonte High School and a 1955 graduate of Penn State with a bachelor of science degree in hotel and restaurant administration.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, he served as a Private First Class with the 279th General Hospital, where he received the Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal.
In 1955, he began his career in food service management with the Gladieux Corp. in Toledo, Ohio. In 1962, he moved back to Bellefonte to manage the Penn Bell Hotel, and in 1968, he became the owner, changing its name to the Bush House.
In 1976, he sold the Bush House and opened Sunburst Insulation Co. in Bellefonte in 1977.
In 1982, he was elected mayor of Bellefonte, serving one term. In 1984, he was elected Centre County treasurer, retiring in 1999 after four terms of service.
He was a 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus Lodge 1314 and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Bellefonte, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1600, Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge 1094, Bellefonte Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis of Bellefonte and Nittany Valley Lodge of the Sons of Italy. He was a former member of the Jaycees of Bellefonte.
He was a director and past president of Historic Bellefonte Inc.
He enjoyed his family, especially his six grandchildren, and he was passionate about his community.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Adrea D. "Dora" Robinson of Plano, Texas, Regina B. "Dia" Fornicola of Bellefonte, Grace A. Fornicola of Egypt and Cristina Brandt of Westerville, Ohio; two sons, Richard A. of Bellefonte and Stephen P. of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Catherine Murphy of Gettysburg; a brother, Carl of Pine Grove Mills; and six grandchildren.
Four brothers preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 7 to
9 p.m. Monday at Wetzler Funeral Home, 206 N. Spring St., Bellefonte, with a Christian Wake service at 8 p.m.
A Knights of Columbus memorial service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Bellefonte, with the Rev. James M. Foster officiating.
Military graveside honors will be accorded.
Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Bellefonte.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Catholic School, 116 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, PA 16823; or to American Cancer Society, Centre Unit, 123 S. Sparks St., State College, PA 16801.
Marguerite "Rita" Kalinosky
Marguerite "Rita" Kalinosky, 57, of Port Matilda died Friday, May 31, 2002 at Community Medical Center in Scranton.
Born Nov. 14, 1945, in Kingston, she was a daughter of Angela Wiffen Raub of Dallas and the late Edwin Raub. Her husband of 35 years, Leo Kalinosky, survives at home.
She graduated from West Side Central Catholic High School in 1963 and from Pennsylvania Learning Institute of Moosic.
For many years, she worked as an offset press operator for HRB Systems of State College and later was a certified massage therapist.
She was a member of the Catholic Community of Forest City and the Civil War Reenactment Battery B Third Pennsylvania Volunteers of Boalsburg.
In addition to her mother and her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Lynn Kalinosky of State College; a son, James Kalinosky of Baltimore; a sister, Elizabeth Bessmer of Trucksville; a brother, Edwin Raub Jr. of Dallas; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to
7 p.m. Sunday at Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home Inc., 568 Bennett St., Luzerne.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Gate of Heaven Church in Dallas, with the Rev. Jack Lambert as celebrant.
Burial will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton.
Charles "Red" E. Flynn
Charles "Red" E. Flynn, 76, of Bellefonte, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at Centre Community Hospital.
Born Oct. 11, 1926, in Milesburg, he was a son of the late Charles T. and Christina Lorrah Flynn.
In June 1958, in Falls Church, Va., he marriage Patricia Dunlap Flynn, who survives at home.
He attended the Bellefonte school system and was a graduate of the Pennsylvania School of Aeronautics.
He served in the Navy as a seaman second class during World War II. He received the American Theater Medal and the Victory Medal.
He was a Protestant.
He worked as a produce manager and a meat cutter for the A&P Market for 33 1/2 years until its closing. Then, he managed the Bellefonte Elks Club for many years.
He served on the board of directors of the Elks Lodge in Bellefonte for more than 20 years and was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks post 1094, a member of the Bellefonte American Legion post 33 and a former Bellefonte Little League coach. He enjoyed camping in Delaware.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jacalyn Flynn, of Bellefonte, and Stephanie Flynn, of Howard; two brothers, Walter Flynn, of Bath, N.Y., and Russell Flynn, of Bellefonte; a granddaughter, Cassandra Dawn, and a grandson, William Charles.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Merrill Flynn.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Wetzler Funeral Home, 206 N. Spring St., Bellefonte, with a memorial service by the Elks at 8:45 p.m.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Ludrowsky officiating.
Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park, College Township.
