Ellery Mathias Harber, 72, of Salladasburg, was pronounced dead on arrival at Jersey Shore Hospital Saturday. (June 23, 1973)
He was born at Caldwell, September 13, 1900, a son of William P. and Minnie Probst Harber.
In 1965, he retired as an electrician for the Pennsylvania Railroad at Renovo and Newberry, after 47 years of service.
Mr. Harber was a member of the Renovo Lodge 495 F & A.M.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Cohick Harber; a son, James, of Renovo; a daughter, Mrs. June Dilbert, of Levittown; two step-sons, R. Gale Thomas, Williamsport, and Clair Thomas, Jersey Shore R.D. 3; two step-daughters Mrs. Louise Plotts and Mrs. Jeanette Hinaman, both of Williamsport; a sister, Mrs. Charles Irvin, of Beech Creek, 13 grandchildren and three great grand-children.

William P., 69, Mill Hall, at the Lock Haven Hospital, Thursday, May 14, 1942, at 7:45 a.m. Surviving his wife, Minnie, two daughters and a son, Mrs. Charles Irvin, Beech Creek; Mrs. Ralph Wert, Mill Hall; Ellery M., Renovo; also by three sisters, Mrs. George Springer, Caldwell; Mrs. Lewis Weaver, Renovo; and Mrs. Lewis Coffey, Lock Haven, R.D. Funeral at the McCloskey Funeral Home, Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment, Zeigler’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Heydrich, Otto M.
September 21, 1935
Otto M. Heydrich, 52, died this morning at his home, 24 East Bald Eagle Street, after a two years’ illness with a complication of diseases. He had been confined to his bed for the past two weeks.
He was a lifelong resident of this city and for 32 years had been a conductor for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was a member of St. Luke’s Reformed Church.
Survivors include his wife, three sons and two daughters, Thomas, Allen, and Pauline, this city; Stanley, Clearfield; Mrs. L. S. Yeager, Jersey Shore; his mother, Mrs. Frank Heydrich; a brother and a sister, Edward, Tamaqua, and Mrs. R. H. Calehuff, Williamsport; and four grandchildren.
Heydrich, Maria “Minnie” Probst
Sept. 19, 1932
Ill since March with Bright’s disease and complications and confined to bed the greater part of that time, Mrs. Mina E. Heydrich, wife of Otto m. Heydrich, died at her home, 405 East Church Street, Sunday night at 10:30 o’clock.
Mrs. Heydrich was 52 years old and had resided in this city all her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three sons and two daughters: Allen and Pauline, at home; Thomas,
Salona; Stanley, Clearfield, and Mrs. Leo Yeager, Jersey Shore. She also leaves one sister and three brothers, Mrs. R. J. Scott, C. Irvin Probst, Walter C. Probst, and Lawrence A. Probst, all of this city.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the residence, by the Rev. Harry F. Rector. Interment will be made in the Dunnstown Cemetery.
Harber, Minnie J. Probst
March 10, 1949
Mrs. Minnie J. Harber, 77, widow of William P. Harber, died at 5:15 a.m. today in the Lock haven Hospital where she had been a patient for the past five weeks.
In ill health for the past two years, Mrs. Harber was born in Green Township, the daughter of the late John and Sarah Jane Nolan Probst. She was reared in the Caldwell section.
For 32 years she made her home in Mill Hall, the past eight with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph
Wert. She had been blind for the same number of years.
An active member of the Church of Christ here for many years, she served as treasurer of the Bible School, was
president of the Ladies’ Aid Society and also president of the Loyal Women’s Class.
She was a sister of the late William A. Probst, who died February 21, 1948 at West Nanticoke.
In addition to Mrs. Wert, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Charles Irvin, of Beech Creek R.D.; a son, Ellery M. of Renovo; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, John C. Probst, of Dunnstown, and three nieces and as many nephews.
Haverstock, Luther G.
June 25, 1973
A Borough Council president in the 1950’s, Luther G. Haverstock, 83, of 622 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, died
Saturday in the Leader Nursing Center, Jersey Shore.
He was born in Arendtsville, Jan. 16, 1890, a son of Jacob and Amalene Starry Harverstock.
His wife, Theresa, died May 11, 1973. Mr. Haverstock served as Jersey Shore Borough Council president in the
1950’s. He retired in 1966 as a clerk for the former New York Central System.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Jersey Shore.
His only survivors are nieces and nephews.

Hoover, Mary E. Mumma
November 20, 1991
Mary E. Hoover, 73, of R.D. 1 Lock Haven died at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 1991 at her home.
Born Feb. 23, 1918 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of Herman and Ruth Jenkins Mumma.
Mrs. Hoover was well known for her Raggedy Ann and Andy doll creations in the McElhattan area.
She worked for the former Sylvania Electric Company of Mill Hall and in the cafeterias of Castanea Elementary and Lock Haven High schools.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas I. Hoover, and second husband, Roy R. Hoover. Her
second husband died March 23, 1975.
Surviving are one son, Milford Thomas Hoover, Sr. of McElhattan and one daughter, Roberta Prince of Knox, Pa. one brother, Marcus Mumma of Mill Hall, and two sisters, Caroline Williams of Williamsport and Margurite Guthrie of Cogan Station; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Haffley, Eugene F.

(Funeral Announcement) Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, 231 High St.,
Flemington, for Eugene F. Haffley, 80 of Mackeyville who died at 8:35 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 1991 in the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Robert H. Van Natta, his pastor, will officiate. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society and the Mackeyville United Methodist Church.

Hall, Nancy Alice

Mrs. Ernest W. Probst, 70 last Aug. 14, a resident here at Lock Haven R.D. 1, died at 12:55 p.m. Saturday in the Lock Haven Hospital, where she had been admitted on Friday after suffering a stroke.
Her husband survives, with two sons and two daughters: Ernest E., and Billie Probst, Lock Haven; Mrs. Frank Egan, Farrandsville; and Mrs. Aliene Chiassom, Lafayette, La.; 14 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
The former Nancy A. Hall, Mrs. Probst was a native of Pike County, Ky., a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Hall.
She had retained membership in the Pikesville, Ky. Baptist Church, and is survived by two brothers and two sisters, all Kentucky residents, Mrs. Rosie Jones, Mrs. Frances Mullins, and Richard Hall, all of Virgie, and Billie Hall, Jonacy, Ky.

Hulbert, Joseph L.
March 26, 1973
Joseph L. Hulbert, 55, of 914 Erie Ave., Renovo, died suddenly at 12:05 a.m. today on Erie Ave. Death apparently
was the result of an acute heart attack.
Born Jan. 17, 1918 in Renovo, Mr. Hulbert was a son of Jarvis and Elizabeth Smith Hulbert. He was a carman at the Berwick Forge and Fabricating Co. shop here (Renovo) and had worked 24 years for the Pennsylvania Railroad.
Mr. Hulbert was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church and Post 442 of the American Legion here. A
veteran of World War II, he served some time in Europe as a member of the 776th Tank Destroyer Battalion.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel; two step-sons, LeRoy Hook, Williamsport, and William Hook, Renovo; two sisters, Mrs. Bee Green, York, Pa., and Mrs. William (Helen) Smith, Indianapolis, Ind.; three brothers, Clarence P., Renovo, James, of Coudersport, and Frank, of Detroit, Mich, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
