Lock Haven - Mrs. C. E. WAIT, East Church street, has received word of the death of her uncle, David SALTSMAN, 85, who passed away August 17 at Springfield, Ore. The message gave no details of his death. Burial will be made at Springfield (Oregon).
Mr. SALTSMAN was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anthony SALTSMAN, pioneer residents of East Ferney, and was the last survivor of a family of 11. He was a machinist by trade and as a young man worked in
the old Ricker foundry here. Many years ago he located in the west. His wife was his only survivor.

Funeral services will be held at his home this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock for Anthony W. SALTSMAN, 75, who died Monday afternoon at his home in East Renovo. Burial will be made in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. SALTSMAN, whose parents were Mr. and Mrs. George W. SALTSMAN, pioneer residents of Renovo, retired in 1936 after 55 years service with the Pennsylvania Railroad.
He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Viola, and a son Charles, and five grandchildren. Brothers and sisters who survive are Charles E., George R., Mrs. Frank HEMMERLY, Mrs. John MILLER, Mrs. James BROOKBANK, Mrs. Clifford HARTMAN, and Mrs. Roscoe KNAPP.

Mrs. Catharine FAIR SALTSMAN, widow of the late George W. SALTSMAN, passed away at her home in East Renovo Friday evening, aged 76 years. She is survived by nine children: Anthony W. SALTSMAN, Charles E. SALTSMAN, Mrs. Frank HEMMERLY, George B. SALTSMAN, all of Renovo; Chauncey D. SALTSMAN, Altoona; Mrs. John A. MILLER, Big Run, Pa.; Mrs. James H. BROOKBANK, Sinnickson, Va.; Mrs. Clifford HARTMAN, St. Mary’s Pa.; Mrs. Roscoe KNAPP, DuBois, Pa. A number of
distant relatives reside in this city.
Funeral services will be held at the home tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o’clock by Rev. Joseph BURTON.

Ella May Probst, wife of Henry Probst, died Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at her home, 523 East Main street,
following an illness of two years with dropsy and heart trouble. She had been confined to her bed for only a week.
She was 50 years of age and was a member of the Evangelical church.
She is survived by her husband, two foster daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Chilcot and Miss Lola Probst, of this city, and by
three brothers and sisters: Joseph Teal, of Williamsport; Jacob Teal, of Claysburg, Pa.; George Teal and Mrs. Laura Welsh, this city; Mrs. Joseph Poorman, Romola, and Mrs. George Mann, of Beech Creek.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the late residence, Rev. Edward Crumbling officiating. Interment will be made in Highland Cemetery.

Mrs. Maggie EGGLER, 48, of Lock Haven R.D. 1, wife of Frank EGGLER, died yesterday morning at the Jersey Shore Hospital following an operation.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Louise THOMAS of Woolrich, and a sister, Mrs. Edward EGGLER, also of Woolrich.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the late residence in charge of the Rev. Clarence F. KRESGE. Burial will be made in Swissdale Cemetery.
Vanemon, Jack C.

Jack C. Vanemon, 62, of Avis Mobil Village, Avis, died early Wednesday morning, June 17, 198 in the Jersey Shore Hospital.
Born Nov. 2, 1935 in Jersey Shore, he was the son of Carl Vanemon and the former Florence Larison Vanemon.
A veteran of the United State Air Force, Mr. Vanemon was employed by Bufforfs Hardware, Jersey Shore. He retired from the Bureau of Forestry.
He and his wife, the former Delores N. Pierce, were marriage May 23, 1954 in Punxsutawney.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Douglas R. Vanemon of Jersey Shore and Bryan L. Vanemon of
Avis; four daughters, Margaret S. Kilpatrick of Jersey Shore, Brenda J. Waldron of Roosavelt, N.J., Jacqueline K.
Johnson of Jersey Shore and Kathleen S. Kramer of Flemington; and nine grandchildren.
Two brothers also survive, Clair Vanemon of Villa Park, Calif., and Richard Vanemon of Antes Fort; and two sisters, Lelia Hawkins of Sun City, Ariz. and Jeanne Schreckengast of Castanea.

(Funeral Announcement) Services will be in St. John Lutheran Church, Renovo, on Tuesday at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Astrid Hauge Vasilko, 61, of Lima, Pa., widow of Michael J. Vasilko who died at a nursing home in Lima on Friday, Dec. 11, 1970 at 1 p.m. The Rev. John I. Cole of Williamsport will officiate. Interment, North Bend Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Moriarty Funeral Home, Renovo, after 7 p.m. Monday, and from 12:30 p.m. Tuesday until time for services at the church.

John D. Weaver died at the Hospital Tuesday night at 9:00 o’clock of appendicitis. He was taken to that institution
Thursday and the operation performed Friday morning. In less than 24 hours from the time he first complained of
pain the appendix had bursted and peritonitis set in, Little hope was entertained for his recovery.
Deceased was well known in this city, having been in the butcher business for many years with the late Sidney Clark, under the firm name of Clark & Weaver.
He was a member of the Church of Christ and the Knights of Mystic Chain.
He was 57 years old and is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Frank Shroat, of this city; Mrs.
Charles Graw, of Renovo; David and Nelson, of this city. Also the following brothers and sisters: Fred Weaver and George Weaver, this city; Miss Mary Ann Weaver, Mrs. Sophia McNerney, this city, and Mrs. John Wenrick, North Bend.
Funeral services will be conducted at the house this afternoon at 1 o’clock by Rev. H. C. Boblitt and interment at
Swissdale.
