YOUNGSVILLE - Edmund G. Weschler, 54, a resident of Warren State Hospital, formerly of Erie, died at the hospital Monday, Jan. 19, 1998.
He was born May 19, 1943, in Erie, son of the late Edmund E. and Elizabeth G. Weschler.
Mr. Weschler had worked as a laborer. He had lived in Warren since 1977 and attended the Warren State Hospital Interfaith Chapel.
He is survived by a stepbrother, Victor Weschler of Tampa, Fla.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the hospital chapel Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. Jack Bauer, chaplain, will officiate.
Burial will be in Tampa, Fla.
Hubert-Lewis Funeral Home in Youngsville, Warren County, is in charge of arrangements.

Ann Batorik Quadri
Ann M. Batorik Quadri, 86, of 3009 Greengarden Blvd., died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, at Saint Vincent Health Center after a brief illness.
She was born May 2, 1911, in Erie, daughter of the late John and Vincentia Batorik.
Mrs. Quadri was a lifelong parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer J. Quadri, in 1993; a sister, Mary Bacher; and three brothers, Joseph, Michael and Frank Batorik.
Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Quadri of Erie; two sisters, Vera O'Keefe of Youngsville, Warren County, and Mrs. Michael (Josephine) Vereb of Erie; a brother, John Batorik of Erie; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends may call at Brugger Home for Funerals, W. 38th and Greengarden Blvd., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there Thursday at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 11 a.m.
Burial will be on the family lot at Calvary Cemetery.

Michael J. Brink
CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS - Michael J. Brink, 39, of 857 Lura Road, Cambridge Springs, died at his home Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998.
He was born Feb. 12, 1958, in Meadville, son of Joe D. Brink of Coraopolis and Edna Cooper Brink Haines of Sebring, Fla.
Mr. Brink, who was a lifelong resident of Cambridge Springs, was a 1976 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School. He had worked for Lord Corp. as a machinist since 1988 and previously worked for Teledyne Penn-Union Corp. in Edinboro for eight years.
He was a member of American Legion Post 381 in Cambridge Springs and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting and motorcycling.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Diane Elizabeth Hoehn Brink, whom he marriage Dec. 31, 1990; a daughter, Alyssa Dobson, at home; a son, Craig Dobson, at home; a granddaughter, Kathrine Dobson; a brother, Joey D. Brink of Saegertown, Crawford County; a sister, Mrs. Thomas (Margaret) Massung of East Amherst, N.Y.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Van Matre Funeral Home, 335 Venango Ave., Cambridge Springs, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there Thursday at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Rod Beardsley, pastor of Cambridge Springs Baptist Church.
Burial will be at Cambridge Springs Cemetery.

Letty Logsdon Deeter
FRANKLIN - Letty Logsdon Deeter, 67, of Box 68, Cooperstown, Venango County, died at her home Monday afternoon, Jan. 19, 1998.
She was born March 7, 1930, in Guys Mills, Crawford County, daughter of the late Owen and Ruth Watson Logsdon.
Mrs. Deeter most recently worked for Weston's Department Store as a department head. She previously worked for American Viscose Co.
She attended Cooperstown United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking and home decorating.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter and a brother, John Logsdon.
Survivors include her husband, Chesley Deeter, whom she marriage Oct. 15, 1949; two daughters, Deborah Ritchey of Cooperstown and Mrs. Jeff (Brenda) Bell of RD 2 Franklin; five grandchildren, Alicia Ritchey and Brieann, Catelynn, Lynee and Daneen Bell; three brothers, James "Pete" Logsdon of Troy Center, Crawford County, Richard Logsdon of Meadville and Thomas Logsdon of Pleasantville, Venango County; and a sister, Mrs. James (Betty) Rodgers of Saegertown, Crawford County.
Friends may call at Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home, 1315 Chestnut St., Franklin, on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there Friday at 1 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Joseph Martin of Cooperstown United Methodist Church.
Burial will be at Cooperstown Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Cooperstown United Methodist Church, Cooperstown Library or the Cooperstown Volunteer Fire Department.

Emma Kruszewski
Emma Kruszewski, infant daughter of David G. and Margaret Wolfe Kruszewski of Erie, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at Hamot Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Richard "Whitey" Wolfe and Mary Margaret Wolfe.
In addition to her parents, Emma is survived by her brother, Grant Richard Kruszewski; her paternal grandparents, Walter and Linda Kruszewski of Erie; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Dorothy Maldoon Sperry Craik
CONNEAUT, Ohio - Dorothy Maldoon Sperry Craik, 82, of Poplar Street, Conneaut, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, at Inn Conneaut Health Center.
She was born Dec. 28, 1915, in Dexter, N.Y., daughter of the late Claude and Maude Burlingame Maldoon.
Mrs. Craik, who graduated from Dexter High School and Albany Business College, worked for Bayer Corp. as an accountant, retiring in 1963. After her retirement she worked in a dental office.
Mrs. Craik, who had lived in Conneaut since 1951, was a member of the United Church of Christ. She also was a member of the Rose Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Aerta Temple of the Pythian Sisters and the Past Chiefs Club. She was a Gray Lady at Brown Memorial Hospital in Conneaut.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, A. Culver Sperry, in 1944; her second husband, James M. Craik, in 1990; a sister, Alma Grant; and a brother, Thayer Maldoon.
She is survived by twin daughters, Claudia A. Sperry of Rensselaer, N.Y., and Claudette E. Denning of Annandale, Va.; and two granddaughters, Karen Denning and Michelle Dessormeau.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorials may be made to the Conneaut Rescue Squad.

Allen Richard Cook Sr.
LAUREL, Miss. - Allen Richard Cook Sr., 80, of 1917 North Joe Wheeler Ave., Laurel, died at his home Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998.
He was born June 25, 1917, in Laurel, son of the late George and Emma Jones Cook.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his first wife, Bessie McDonald Cook; his second wife, Helen Nelson Cook; and two daughters, Mae Dorothy Cook Barnett and Mary Nelson Mathis.
Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Ann Cook Martin of Erie, Marjie Ducksworth of Warrensville, Ohio, and Betty Carolyn Cook Heidelberg of Joliett, Ill.; two sons, William "Billy" Cook and Allen R. Cook Jr., both of Erie; a sister, Joanne Gaines of Erie; a son-in-law, Samuel A. Martin Jr. of Erie; a close friend, Mildred Gaviston of Laurel; and many grandchildren.
A service will be held at Provident Baptist Church in Laurel on Saturday.
Brown Mortuary, Meridian Ave., Laurel, is in charge of arrangements.

Irene Laniewicz Szczesny
Was a parishioner of St. Hedwig Catholic Church
Irene A. Laniewicz Szczesny, 80, of 601 E. 8th St., died Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998, at Hamot Medical Center.
She was born March 12, 1917, in Erie, daughter of the late Anthony and Alexandra Ranczkonski Laniewicz. After her mother died, Mrs. Szczesny was raised by her stepmother, Susan Laniewicz.
She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Hedwig Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ave Marie Society, Rosary Society and the St. Ann's Ladies Society.
Mrs. Szczesny was the cook at Polish Falcons Nest 610 for many years. She was known for her czarnina, pierogis and cheesecake.
She did volunteer work at the Gertrude A. Barber Center, was a life member of the Polish Falcons and enjoyed traveling.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter P. Szczesny, in 1995; and three brothers, Thaddeus, Henry and Edward Laniewicz.
Survivors include five daughters, Joan P. Szczesny, Barbara Chiaramonte and her husband, Dennis, Christine Gaydos, Sandra O'Hara and her husband, Joseph, and Michaeline Szczesny, all of Erie; a brother, Richard Laniewicz of Sherman, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at A. Brugger & Sons Funeral Home, 845 E. 38th St., on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there Wednesday at 9:20 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at St. Hedwig Catholic Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
