Was an assembler for General Wire Spring Co.
CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS - Edward John Krobot, 61, 580 S. Main St., Cambridge Springs, died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at Clarion Hospital in Clarion after a short illness.
He was born July 27, 1936, in Pittsburgh.
Mr. Krobot, who lived in McKees Rocks most of his life, worked at General Wire Spring Co. as an assembler for 29 years, retiring in June 1994.
He was a member of McKees Rocks Elks Lodge 1623 and the McKees Rocks Sportsmen's Club. He was a social member of VFW Venango Post 169 a former member of the American Legion post in McKees Rocks.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Chizar; a brother, William Krobot; and his former wife, Jo Ann Hiltgen.
He is survived by his wife of four years, Rita Krobot; a son, Edward Krobot Jr. of Monaca; four daughters, Mrs. Logan (Cassie) James of Gunnison, Colo., Mrs. Michelle Becker, Peggy Krobot and Julie Krobot, all of McKees Rocks; two stepsons, George E. Davis and James Michael Rough of Cambridge Springs; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ron (Tammy) Van Horsen of Adrian, Minn.; three brothers, John, Floyd and William Krobot, all of McKees Rocks; 14 grandchildren, two great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Van Matre Funeral Home, 335 Venango Ave., Cambridge Springs, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there Wednesday at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Rod Beardsley, pastor of Cambridge Srings First Baptist Church.
Burial will be at Venango Cemetery.

Earnest Reginal Atkins
Lived in Erie as a child
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Earnest Reginal Atkins, 30, of Oklahoma City, died Thursday, June 18, 1998.
He was born Oct. 5, 1967, in Lansing, Mich., son of Lettie Matlock Atkins of Indianapolis, Ind., and the late Earnest Atkins.
Mr. Atkins lived in Erie for 6 years. He worked for the U.S. Defense Department as an electronics mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy, at home; a son, E.J. Atkins, at home; a grandmother, a brother, four sisters, six nieces and nine nephews.
A service will be held today at 10 a.m. at Smith and Turner Mortuary, 201 E. Main St., Yukon, Okla.
Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.

Joseph E. Kline
Former president of Kiwanis Club of Erie
Joseph E. Kline, 89, 3227 Willis St., died Thursday, June 18, 1998, at Hamot Medical Center.
He was born April 13, 1909, in Trevorton, son of the late Lorenzo D. and Jane Swinehart Kline.
Mr. Kline, who had lived in Erie for many years, operated Kline Laundry and Cleaning Service for more than 35 years.
He was the secretary and a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Erie. This year he received the George M. Hixson Award, the Kiwanis International award for distinguished service.
He did volunteer work throughout the Erie area. He enjoyed golf and gardening.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sophia C. Dombrowski Kline; two daughters, Barbara Hulings of Cambridge Springs and her husband, Richard, and Carol Decker of Millcreek Township and her husband, Scott; three sons, David Kline of Erie and his wife, Pat, Joseph Kline of Albion and Todd Kline of Millcreek; 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Scott Funeral Home, W. 21st and Myrtle streets, Tuesday from noon until the time of the service there at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. S. James Schmittle will officiate.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Edward Zambrzycki
Edward Zambrzycki, 83, of Erie, died Saturday, June 20, 1998, at his residence in Saint Mary's Home of Erie.
He was born in Carnegie, Aug. 24, 1914, A son of the late Dominick and Rosalia Szczerbiak Zambrzycki.
He was a retired employee of the City of Erie Streets Department and was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Chester Zambrzycki, and an infant sister.
He is survived by two brothers Alex Zambrzycki, Henry Zambrzycki and his wife Sophie, and Marion Zambrzycki, all of Erie, and by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Carl A. Slomski & Son Funeral Home, East 21st and Ash streets, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 10.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Church, 2220 Reed St., Erie, PA 16503.

Anne Reynolds Wingerter
Anne Reynolds Wingerter, 64, 2614 Hazel St., died Thursday, June 18, 1998, at Hamot Medical Center.
She was born in Erie, April 19, 1934, a daughter of the late Raymond and Anne Volk Reynolds.
She was a 1952 graduate of St. Benedict Academy and a homemaker. She was a former Sister of St. Benedict.
She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church for 40 years. She taught CCD there and was a member of the church's hospitality group and helped with the parish prayer line.
She enjoyed baking, ironing and sewing for people and collected owls, elephants and clowns.
She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Wingerter; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Anne Marie) Burrows of Albion and Mrs. Timothy (Martha Louise) Pirello and Mrs. Robert (Mary Lou) Bell, both of Erie; a son, Robert Wingerter of Edinboro and his wife, Audrey; seven grandchildren, Jason Barton, Amy and Rebecca Wingerter, Mark and Joseph Thompson, Mandy Pirello-Buckner and Steven Pirello-Yenny; and two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Jean) Miller of Singapore and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Lamary of Florida.
Friends may call at Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, W. 25th and Sassafras streets, today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there Monday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass at Sacred Heart Church at 10.
Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Sacred Heart Building Fund or the Emmaus Soup Kitchen.

Wilbur Jones
Was trustee of Carpenters Local 81
Wilbur Jones, 80, of East Pearl Street, Albion, died Friday, June 19, 1998, at Pleasant Ridge Manor.
He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., Aug. 8, 1917, a son of the late Milton and Edith Searles Jones.
He served in World War II in 1945 and was a member of Girard American Legion Post 494. He was a lifetime member of Carpenters Local 81 from 1948 to 1976 and he served the local as a trustee. He also served in the Civilian Conservation Corp., and the Civil Air Patrol. He graduated from the New York Industrial High School for Boys in 1955.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ulmer Jones in 1989, and two brothers, Herbert and Raymond Jones.
He is survived by a son, Thomas Jones and his wife Marjorie of Girard; three daughters, Cynthia Ramsey and her husband Bill of Erie, Edith Niskanen and her husband Robert of Lake City, and Cheryl Deblock of Albion; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may attend a service Monday 6:30 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church. The Rev. Phil Swickard will officiate. Memorials may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, Hall and Lake avenues, Lake City, PA 16423, or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Joan Marie Barber
Joan Marie Barber, 47, of McKean, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998, at her home.
She was born in Shirley, Mass., May 28, 1951, a daughter of Calvin Hall of Reed City, Mich., and the late Loraine Nelson Hall.
During the Vietnam War she served with the U.S. Army. She attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, majoring in criminal justice. She was a private investigator for Daniel L. Barber Associates. She was a volunteer special deputy sheriff with the Erie County Search and Rescue K-9 Unit, a member and secretary for the Schutzhund Club of Northwest Pennsylvania, and was a past Girl Scout leader in McKean.
Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Hall.
Besides her father, she is survived by her husband of 27 years, Daniel L. Barber; two daughters, Nicole Barber and Jessica Barber, both of McKean; a son, Adam Barber of McKean; a sister, Sheryl Hare, and two brothers, Roger Hall and his wife Candice, and Dennis Hall, all of Michigan.
There will be no calling hours and the service will be private.
Memorials may be made to Penn Lakes Girl Scout Council, Edinboro Mall, Suite 135, Edinboro, PA 16412.
The Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie St., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Irene M. Adamski Puckly
Founding member of Mt. Carmel Parish
Irene M. Adamski Puckly, 69, of Millcreek, died Saturday, June 20, 1998, at her daughter's home, following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, Dec. 20, 1928, a daughter of the late John and Mary Koren Adamski.
She worked in the Accounting Department of Lyons Transportation Co. for 20 years before retiring in 1994. Before that, she worked for the Erie Builders Supply Co. for several years.
She was a founding member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Parish. She was also a member of the Blue Army of Fatima and the Divine Mercy Apostolate.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Puckly, June 27, 1977, a son, Joseph D. Puckly, March 27, 1980, and a sister, Margaret Dragon.
She is survived by a daughter, Catherine Puckly, of Millcreek; a son, Jerome J. Puckly, of Waterford; a brother, Raymond Adamski, of Conneaut, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Ave., Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at 10.
Burial will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
