OIL CITY - Fingol W. Bloom, Jr., 77, of 206 Reed St., Oil City, died Friday, June 19, 1998, at Northwest Medical Center in Franklin.
He was born in Rochester, June 21, 1920, a son of the late Fingol W. Bloom, Sr. and Adelaide Milligan Bloom. He was a World War II veteran and had served in the U.S. Army as a master sergeant in the European and Pacific Theaters from September 1943 to March 1946.
He was employed by Aluminum Company of America in Pittsburgh and then as Works Controller for Crucible Steel in Midland. He later served as vice president and treasurer of Sharon Steel and NVF Corp. in Yorklyn, Del. He was president of Mokry-Tesmer in Middletown, Ohio until his retirement in 1985.
He is survived by his wife Ann Barrett; a son F. Walter Bloom, III and his wife Rebecca of Oil City; three sisters Louise Rakas and her husband Joseph of Midland; Margaret Evans and her husband Paul and Marilyn O'Data and her husband Charles, all of Beaver; three grandchildren, Gregory and Matthew Bloom and Jane Bloom-Langell; two step-grandchildren Elizabeth Roth and Stephen Fry; a great-grandchild; and a step-great-grandchild.
Private visitation and services will be held at the Morrison Funeral Home.
Private burial will be at Venus Cemetery.

Memorial service June 29
A memorial service for Alvin Bax of Georgetown, Fla., formerly of Lake City, will be conducted Monday, June 29, at the Lake City Methodist Church.
Dr. Bruce Merton of Fort Myers, Fla., will lead the service at 11 a.m.
Mr.Bax died Jan. 15, 1998.

Margaret H. Aul
TITUSVILLE - Margaret H. Aul, 92, of Bog Hollow Road, Titusville, died Friday, June 19, 1998, at Titusville Area Hospital, following a short illness.
She was born in Pittsburgh, May 29, 1906, a daughter of the late Charles Schaffold and Agnes Wurst Schaffold Meixner.
She was a member of St. Titus Church, the Christian Mothers and the Loyal Christian Benevolent Association, all in the Mt. Oliver Section of Pittsburgh. She was a former member of St. Henry's Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Joseph A. Aul Sr., Oct. 19, 1974; by a son Charles W. Aul; six brothers, Charles, Louis and Morris Schaffold and George, Albert and Frank Meixner; a grandson, Christopher Aul and two great-granddaughters.
She is survived by three sons, Richard J. Aul of Pittsburgh, David J. Aul and his wife Darlene of Spartansburg, and Joseph A. Aul, Jr. of the Army Education Center, Camp Carroll, Korea; two sisters, Min Satter of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Cass Meixner of Pittsburgh; a brother Robert Meixner of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Leo N. Hennes Funeral Home, 203 E. Main St., Titusville, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake Service will be held there Monday at 8:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Titus Church. The Rev. James G. Gutting will officiate.
Private burial will be at St. Catharine Cememtery.

Ronald G. Stigers
Was a Pennsylvania State Police officer for 25 years
Ronald G. Stigers, 79, 737 Burkhart Ave., Lawrence Park Township, died at his home Thursday, June 18, 1998.
He was born Feb. 25, 1919, in Punxsutawney, son of the late Frank and Mae Grube Stigers.
Mr. Stigers was a Pennsylvania State Police officer for 25 years until his retirement. He was assigned to the Troop E barracks in Lawrence Park. He also worked at General Electric Co. for 10 years, retiring in 1980.
Mr. Stigers was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving as a radio operator in Hawaii, and was a member of American Legion Carl Neff Post 571.
He was a member of Lawrence Park United Methodist Church and the Tee Pee Toters camping group.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Stigers.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Stevens Stigers; a daughter, Barbara Northrup of Edinboro and her husband, James; four grandchildren, Jim, Jason, Bridgette and Justin Northrup; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at G.R. Bailey Funeral Home, 4396 Iroquois Ave., Lawrence Park, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there Monday at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Lee Pomeroy.
Burial will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.

Dorothy Blair Perrine
Managed ladies department of Printz's
FRANKLIN - Dorothy J. Blair Perrine, 73, formerly of 1212 Chestnut St., Franklin, died Friday, June 19, 1998, at Sugar Creek Station.
She was born Jan. 6, 1925, in Franklin, daughter of the late Clarence A. and Mabel Beers Blair.
Mrs. Perrine worked at Printz's store, where she managed the ladies department, for 10 years, retiring in 1978. She also worked at McCrory's department store for 10 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Perrine, on Nov. 22, 1979; they were marriage April 20, 1946.
Also preceding her in death was a brother, Richard T. Blair.
She is survived by a son, Randell M. Perrine of Waldorf, Md.; two grandchildren, Richard M. and Kacey M. Perrine; and a brother, Robert D. Blair of Erie.
Friends may call at Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home, 1315 Chestnut St., Franklin, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there Monday at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at Franklin Cemetery.

Daniel Mikovich
Hunted and fished throughout North America
Daniel "Dan" Mikovich, 77, 8910 Crossingville Road, Albion, died at his home Friday, June 19, 1998, after a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 17, 1921, in Pont, son of the late Jocko and Theresa Mucha Mikovich.
Mr. Mikovich, who was a graduate of Albion High School, worked for the Bessemer & Lake Erie Railroad from 1941 until his retirement in 1981. He used to raise cattle on his farm, was a co-owner of the Ivarea General Store for a short time when it opened in the Albion area in 1941 and previously worked for Griswold Manufacturing Co. and Albro Packing Co. in Springboro.
He attended St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church in Albion and was a former member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Greek Catholic Church in Pageville.
Mr. Mikovich hunted and fished in Canada, New England, Michigan and in Wyoming, where he hunted deer and antelope. He also enjoyed fishing, flea markets, welding and repairing things for friends, gardening, planting trees and cutting timber.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, John Mikovich in 1921, Frank Mikovich in 1934, Peter Mikovich in 1981 and Edward Mikovich in 1996; and two sisters, Helen Panko in 1964 and Anna Kohut in 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Kremenik "Jo" Mikovich, whom he marriage Nov. 14, 1945; two brothers, Joseph Mikovich of Girard and Al Mikovich of Fairview; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be private.
Burial will be at St. James Cemetery in Crossingville.

Constance McCarthy Kalkhof
Nursing home administrator, Iroquois school director
Constance Nancy McCarthy Kalkhof, 62, 3749 East Lake Road, died Friday, June 19, 1998, at Hamot Medical Center after a long illness.
She was born Sept. 18, 1935, in Erie, daughter of the late Thomas and Stacia Jastremski McCarthy.
Mrs. Kalkhof was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School and Villa Maria College, where she earned a degree in business education. She was a licensed Pennsylvania nursing home administrator.
From 1960-84 she was the vice president-secretary of Twinbrook Nursing Home.
Mrs. Kalkhof was an Iroquois school director for 16 years, from 1971-87, and was a former president of the school board.
She also was on the board of the Erie Rape Crisis Center from 1988-93 and was the board's secretary-treasurer.
She was a parishioner of St. James Roman Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas McCarthy, who was killed in World War II; two sisters, June Driscoll and Charlotte Dunn; and a granddaughter, Christine Kalkhof.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas C. Kalkhof, MD; four sons, Thomas E. Kalkhof and his wife, Mary Fran, and Mark A. Kalkhof, all of Erie, Christopher J. Kalkhof of Williamsville, N.Y., and his wife, Amy, and Craig Kalkhof of Ripley, N.Y., and his wife, Tracie; three daughters, Susan A. Vitron and Constance M. Skarlinski and her husband, Michael, all of Erie, and Patricia D. Kalkhof of Tustin, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Dusckas Funeral Home East, 2607 Buffalo Road, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held there Monday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass at St. James Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. James Roman Catholic Church, 2635 Buffalo Road, Erie, PA 16510; or to the Sisters of the Divine Spirit, 409 W. 6th St., Erie, PA 16507.

Rose Elizabeth Mennecke

Rose Elizabeth Mennecke, 82, 1015 W. 11th St., died Wednesday, June 17, 1998, at Hamot Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 17, 1915, in Erie, daughter of the late Herman J. and Rose McGuire Jansen.
Mrs. Mennecke was a parishioner of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. Mennecke; a daughter, Nancy Rios; two sons, David and Earl Mennecke; a sister, Mary Nichols; and three brothers, Herman, Vincent and Frank Jansen.
She is survived by a son, Walter Mennecke of Erie; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Eleanor) Cooper of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Pam Hain and Gail Gaerttner and her husband, John, all of Erie; two sisters, Ann Jansen and Margaret Jansen, both of Erie; two brothers, Nick and Larry Jansen, both of Erie; 31 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery on Monday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Richard Sullivan, pastor of St. Andrew Church, will officiate.
Memorials may be made to St. Andrew Church, 1116 W. 7th St., Erie, PA 16502.
Burton Funeral Home, 602 W. 10th St., is handling arrangements.
