He was 55 years old. James was born July 7, 1948 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Thomas A. Miller Jr. and Catherine E. Miller (nee - Woods).
He is the beloved husband of Barbara Ischinger Miller; father of Doris Beck and her husband George and Richard Miller and his wife Mandy; Pop-pop of Ryan and Victoria Beck; brother of Thomas, Ronald and Gary Miller; son-in-law of Henry Ischinger.
Jim graduated from Upper Dublin High School and received an Associate Degree from Montgomery County Community College. Jim served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and worked in law enforcement for many years, reaching the rank of sergeant in the Upper Dublin Police Department. He was active for many years in the Boy Scouts of America and his hobbies included playing golf and working on old cars.
Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation Sunday, April 25, 2004, from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. and to his funeral service at 2:00 P.M. at the Fort Washington Expo Center, 1100 Virginia Drive, Fort Washington.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the “Miller Grandchildren Education Fund” c/o Wetzel and Son, 501 N. Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090.

Edward M. He was 78 years old. Edward was born November 30, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Anthony Shawlis and the late Marion Shawlis (nee - LaGlen).
He is the beloved husband of fifty-six years to Dorothea A. Shawlis (nee Swenson); father of Edward Shawlis Jr., Marie and Lewis McCarthy, Robert and Diane Shawlis, Jean Shawlis, Dorothea Shawlis and Joseph Shawlis.
Edward was a graduate of Dobbins Trade School and a retiree of the U.S. Postal Service where he was a letter carrier.
Relatives and friends were invited to his memorial service Saturday, May 1, 2004, at 12:00 P.M. at the Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 6902 Rising Sun Avenue, Philadelphia. Interment was private.

Helen W. She was 88 years old. Helen was born November 24, 1913 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late William Widman and the late Johanna Widman (nee - Fahrner).
She is the beloved wife of the late Walter Straub; Mother of Walter Straub, Jr., Dorothy Curran and Richard Straub; Sister-in- law of Dorothy Widman. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and by her one great granddaughter.
Helen was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated from William Penn High School. She worked as a secretary for Albert Einstein Medical Center during her working career. She was a long time member of the Lawndale Baptist Church and lived on the 600 block of Kerper Street in Lawndale for 35 years until moving to her daughter's home in Richboro in 2000.
Relatives and friends were invited to call Friday, April 26, 2002, from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at Lawndale Baptist Church, 6433 Lawndale Avenue, Philadelphia. Relatives and friends were invited to her Funeral Service Friday, April 26, 2002, at 10:00 A.M. at Lawndale Baptist Church. Interment at George Washington Memorial Park in Plymouth Meeting followed the Funeral Service.

She is the Mother in Law of Phyllis Reitz; Grandmother of Cynthia J. Beard and the Great Grandmother of Three.
Elisabeth was a soprano who loved to sing, mostly in the Opera.

Lillian was a former resident of Roslyn, PA.

Gladys was born and raised in Philadelphia and worked as a file clerk for the Calvert Distillery during her working career. She was a long time resident of the1900 block of Solly Avenue in the Rhawnhurst section of Philadelphia.
Services were private at the family's request.

He was a member of the Pennsylvania Meridian Sun Lodge No. 2, F. & A.M., the Lulu Temple Shrine Club and many other masonic organizations during his lifetime. Elwood was formerly of the 200 block of W. Godfrey Avenue in Olney.

James G. He retired from the Sears and Roebuck Company in Philadelphia after working many years as a salesman. James was a member of the Frankford Lodge No. 292, F. & A.M.
