He was a sixth grade student at Northwestern Middle School. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and enjoyed fishing and video games.

Further survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call at the Steff Funeral Home, Albion on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend funeral services there on Monday at 11 a.m.
Burial will be Spring Cemetery, Springboro, PA. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
Joseph Otteni

He was a member of St. Lawrence Church, Albion.
He was a graduate of Northwestern High School Class 2002.
He was employed as a forman by Speedy K, Albion.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had served in Iraq.
He enjoyed working on four wheel drive trucks, hunting and fishing. He also was active in karate.

Further survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call at Steff Funeral Home, Albion on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend prayer services there on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Lawrence Church, Albion.
Interment in Albion Cemetery.

Joseph Angerer

He was born in Linesville on March 26, 1919 the son of the late Edmund and Antoinette Maly Angerer. He was a member of the Linesville United Methodist Church. He retired several years ago from Greenville Steel, Greenville.
He directed the Old West Band, being an accomplished violinist.

Robert Huya

He was born in Edinboro, PA on Sept. 3, 1932 the son of the late Ignatious and Anna Marchincha Huya.
He was a retired mason contractor, owning Huya Masonary in Cranesville, PA for over 35 years.
He was medic in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict.
He was a life member of VFW, Albion Post 2341; a member of American Legion, Post 135, Warren, PA; Warren Order of the Moose, Lodge #109 and the Loyal Order of the Eagles, Lodge # 223. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.

Further survived by ten grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Eugene Anthony Checots Jr.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Albion. He retired in April, after nine years of service as a correctional officer at SCI, Albion.
He served two tours of duty with the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps in Viet Nam.
His family was his first priority. He enjoyed horseshoes, woodworking and reading.
Besides his parents he is survived by his wife, Connie Hoover Checots whom he married on June 7, 1996; four daughters, Tracie Szczutkowski and her husband, Michael, Girard; Amber Wagoner and her dear friend, David Jaroszewski, Erie; Kelly McCall and her dear friend, Dennis Baumann, North East, PA and Shannon Checots of Delaware; a sister, Carol Jones and her husband, Randy of Illinois; eight grandchildren, Hunter and Remington Szczutkowski; Jillian and Jordon Wagoner; Angel McCall, Anthony and Austin Collins and Kyle Baumann.
Friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, July 2, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, Albion.
Ernie Junior Keeton

Paul B. Sleppy, Jr.

He then was employed by Exxon-Mobile as a pipe welder working all over the eastern part of the states.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
Besides his mother he is survived by two sons, Paul Sleppy, III and Scott Sleppy both of Albion; two sisters, Kathy (Angelo) Natalie, Stamford, CT and Debbie (Joseph) Mayo, Harborcreek and a brother, Rick Sleppy, Dunkirk, NY.
He is further survived by several nieces and nephews.

Alice Elizabeth Sherman
Alice E. Sherman, 90, of Manchester Lodge, Erie, formerly of Wellsburg and the Albion Area Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006 at Hamot Medical Center, Erie.
She was born on Sept. 8, 1915 in Evanston, WY the daughter of the late Everett and Ethel "Ted" Sims Haines.
She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Cranesville, PA, the Bethel Belles and was a Sunday School Teacher for many years; PSEA retired Teachers Association and the OES Chapter #22 Albion, where she was a past Matron; Daughter's of the Nile. She was also a past member of the Elk Creek Grange and the Fortnightly Club.
She was a graduate of Boise Junior College and 1963 graduate of Edinboro State Teachers College. She taught elementary school in Weiser, ID; Pocatello, ID; Cranesville Elementary School; East Springfield Elementary School; West Springfield Elementary School and Northwestern Elementary where she retired from in 1980 after 30 years of teaching.
She taught piano to many students in the west Erie County area. She enjoyed needle work, crocheting and music.

She is survived by a daughter, Ellen Stratton and her husband, Dennis, Harborcreek, PA; two sisters, Hazel Wylie and her husband, Rev. Harold, St. George, Utah and Nevada; June Argyle, Twin Falls, ID; a daughter in law, Linda Sherman, St. Louis, MO; three grandsons, David, Michael and Christopher Sherman and a sister in law, Marjorie Haines.
Further survived by two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
