He was born Dec. 22, 1930, in Brockway, a son of Francis and Helen Bucheit Ellison Hanes . He married Betty Mae Barr March 17, 1951, at Sacred Heart Church, St. Mary's.
He was a member of the National Guard and called to active duty in Germany during the Korean conflict.
He retired from the Pennsylvania Game Commission Jan. 6, 1978, where he had served as a game protector for 20 years. During his retirement, he operated the boat livery at the End of the Road Park in Linesville. He operated Haines Ice Service and Haines Auto Rental. He also delivered mail and helped start Haines Marine Service with his son David, and was a former manager for Spillway Concessions.
He was a member of Linesville American Legion Post. No. 462 and a former member of the Pymatuning Sportsman's Club. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and competed as a sharpshooter. He was also a member of the Pennsylvania Game Commission Immediate Relief Association.
He enjoyed golf, trapping, hunting, bowling, gardening and most of all his family.
He was a member of St. Philip Church.
Survivors include his wife of Linesville; two sons, David Haines and his wife, Cynthia, of Andover, Ohio, and Dennis W. Haines and his wife, Rebecca, of Linesville; 13 grandchildren, Leslie Jo Barra and her husband, Juan, Krista S. McNulty and her husband, Timothy, Douglas J. Haines, Katie Lynn Haines, Betsy T. Haines, Laura E. Searfoss, Ryan Strohm, Susannah L. Haines, Lee Ann M. Searfoss, Mathew T. Searfoss, Sarah Anne E. Haines, Sarah Davis and Nathaniel J. Haines; a great-grandson; a brother, Kenneth Haines and his wife, Edna, of St. Mary's; and a step-father, Clarence Ellison of St. Marys.
Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harold W. Coleman Jr. Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville. A prayer vigil will be at 8:45 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Philip Church, Linesville, with the Rev. John G. Barwin as celebrant.
Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, McKean County.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Leukemia Society of America Inc., 2 Gateway Center, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15222.

Doris H. Johnson

She was born July 28, 1930, in Rochester, N.Y., a daughter of Carl and Helen Frances Chippie Johnson.
She enjoyed playing bingo and attending flea markets and garage sales.
She was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Elsie Graham and her husband, Norman, of Conneautville.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1964 as a signalman and had last worked for Makco Manufacturing in Edinboro.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of 10 years, include his mother, Helen M. Swift of Edinboro; three daughters, Candy Wade and her husband, Charles, of Conneautville, Lisa Helen Phillips and her husband, Mark, of Mentor, Ohio, and Cassandra Lyn Collen of Saegertown; two sons, Michael Floyd Collen of Killdevil Hill, N.C., and Charles Arthur Collen of Gulfport, Miss.; five stepchildren; three grandchildren; a sister, Audrey Adams of Edinboro; and a brother, Fred Swift of Edinboro.

He was employed at LC Renniger of Erie and attended Conneautville Church of Christ.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Brandon Hyde of Meadville; his mother and her husband, Ronald Frantz, of Conneautville; his father of Springboro; three brothers, Morris E. Hyde of Albion, Floyd A. Hyde of Nashville, Tenn., and Duane T. Hyde of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Julia M. Golden of West Springfield and Kate Miley of Erie; two stepsisters, Jennie M. Frantz and Sara J. Frantz, both of Cochranton; and a stepbrother, Bradley G. Frantz of Conneautville.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at White-Cool Funeral Home, 1405 Main St., Conneautville.
The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rich Jones of Conneautville Church of Christ officiating.
Burial will be in Albion Cemetery.

Jackie Marie Grubbs

Survivors include her mother, Lori White of Cochranton; her father and stepmother, Raymond and Sherry Grubbs Jr. of New Port Richey; three brothers, Mike of New Port Richey, Ronnie of Inverness, Fla., and Henry of Linesville; two sisters, Nichole of Linesville and Kaitlin of Cochranton; maternal grandparents, Douglas Smith of Meadville and Ruth Smith of Stoneboro; and paternal grandparents, Raymond and Annie Grubbs of Palmetto, Fla.
The memorial service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cochranton United Methodist Church, 114 E. Adams St., Cochranton.
Arrangements were under the direction of Faupel Funeral Home, New Port Richey.

Joseph A. Zinnamosca

Survivors include two sons, Marcello Zinnamosca and his wife, Marjorie, of Leesburg, Fla., formerly of Littles Corners, and Dr. John B. Zinnamosca of Conneaut Lake; three grandsons, Christopher, Brian and Mark Zinnamosca; two sisters, Concetta Frisina and Maria Guadagino, both of Montreal, Canada; and several nieces and nephews.

John D. Volna

A 1952 graduate of Har Brack High School in Natrona Heights, he came to Meadville in 1968 with PPG, where he was employed until retiring from the ware room in 1992.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006.
He liked hunting and fishing.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of 47 years, include his mother of Natrona Heights; three daughters, Anita Volna of Pittsburgh, Pamela Dinsmore and her husband, Ronald, of Cochranton, and Judith Volna and her fiance, Michael Martin, of Meadville; three sons, Daniel J. Volna and his wife, Susan, and David P. Volna and his wife, Lisa, all of Meadville, and John M. Volna and his wife, Betty, of Sewickley; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Paulette Maust of Natrona Heights.

A farmer by trade, he had also worked in logging and as a pipeline worker and helped build the Pymatuning Reservoir.
A man of the Protestant faith, friends and family say he loved the Lord and his family above all. He was a great outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and also liked bowling.
