Mr. Beck was born, May 17, 1926, in DuBois, the son of the late John and Lillian V. (Hetrick) Beck.
He was married to DeMaris (Cessna) Beck, who preceded him in Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">death on Sept. 1, 1998.
Mr. Beck served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy in World War II.
He was a member of the American Legion and Rossiter Sportsmen's Club.
Surviving relatives include a son, Thomas E. Beck Jr. of Rossiter; three daughters, Danis "Sherry" Boggs of Rossiter, Barbara Ann Beck of Punxsutawney, and Lisa Huey and husband David of Gipsy; a sister, Pat Stapleton and husband Gary of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; a companion, Betty Brown of Rossiter; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2004, at the funeral home with Pastor Arnold Guntrum and the Rev. Grant Hunter officiating.
Interment will follow at Rossiter Union Cemetery.
Graveside military honors will be accorded by Rossiter American Legion Post 582.
Eugene R. Mennitti, 91
Eugene R. Mennitti, 91, of R.D. 3 Box 188, Reynoldsville, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch">died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003, at DuBois Regional Medical Center in DuBois.
Mr. Mennitti was born June 1, 1912, in Anita, the son of the late Salvatore and Anna Marie Pellegrino Mennitti.
He was married June 15, 1940, in Reynoldsville to Agnes M. Vizza Mennitti, who survives.
Mr. Mennitti was a retired overhead crane operator, working for Reliance Steel of McKeesport for 30 years.
He was a member of the St. Marys Church in Reynoldsville and served as vice-president of the Sons of Italy.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Eugene L. Mennitti of Reynoldsville and Philip R. Mennitti of R.D. 3 Reynoldsville; two daughters, Darlene F. Uplinger of R.D. 1 Reynoldsville and Regina A. DeFelice of Creekside; two brothers, Samuel Mennitti of Anita and James Mennitti of McKeesport; two sisters, Virginia Polito of Walston and Twila Smith of Jamestown, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Interment will be at St. Marys Cemetery in Reynoldsville.
Francis S. Brauer

Mr. Brauer was born Feb. 23 1918, in Long Island, N.Y., the son of the late Henry H. and Olive A. (Sprague) Brauer.
He was married to Margaret M. (Schneider) Brauer, who survives.
Mr. Brauer served in the Navy and was a veteran of World War II in the Pacific theater, where he served on the USS Cogswell destroyer.
Mr. Brauer was a member of SS. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Brauer is survived by two sons, Francis J. Brauer and wife Elizabeth of Punxsutawney, and the Rev. Donald R. Brauer and wife Debra of Rochester Mills; three daughters, Barbara Lisa and husband Joseph of Treasure Lake, Virginia Haines and husband Jerry of Homer City, and Patricia J. Brauer of Punxsutawney; six grandsons, Robert, James, Thomas and Paul Brauer and Ethan and Jeremy Haines; three granddaughters, Tracey and Alexa Haines and Abby Brauer; and a great-granddaughter, Kaitlin Brauer.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the McCabe Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2004, at SS. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church in Punxsutawney with the Rev. Fr. John F. Bauer officiating.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

He is survived by a son, Robert Alan Bowers and wife Diana of Shelocta; two sisters, Frances Fritz and husband Harry of Centre Hall, and Esther Jordan and husband George of St. College; four grandsons, Nathan, Matthew, Michael and Daniel Bowers; and several nieces.

Mr. Corthorn was born Feb. 2, 1947, in Punxsutawney, the son of John E. Corthorn and the late Dorothy A. (Sweeney) Corthorn.
Mr. Corthorn was an assistant team supervisor for the U.S. Census Bureau in New York, N.Y. He also served as a Vista Volunteer in Phoenix, Ariz., and San Francisco, Calif.
He was a member of SS. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church in Punxsutawney.
A graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y., Mr. Corthorn received his master's degree at the University of Colorado in 1976.
He was a well-known musician and played guitar.
In addition to his father, Mr. Corthorn is survived by three sisters, Rebecca C. Weimer and husband Marc of Punxsutawney, Mary A. Daugherty and husband Troy of Sanford, N.C., and Dorothy A. Corthorn of Buffalo.; and a brother, Francis J. Corthorn of Elk Grove Village, Ill.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 9, 2004, at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 10, 2004, at SS. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. John F. Bauer officiating.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and had been employed at Wal-Mart.
Mr. Roman enjoyed working on motorcycles and cars and was an avid hunter.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Martin William Roman of Wheatfield, N.Y.; four sisters, Judy Tomasini and husband Richard and Karen Roman, all of Tonawanda, Teresa Fernandez and husband Mark of North Tonawanda and Lori Copeland and husband Thomas of Newfane, N.Y.; a brother, David Roman of Messina, N.Y.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2004, at the Furlong Funeral Home, Summerville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2004, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Brookville with the Rev. Joseph Staszewski, pastor, officiating.
Graveside services and interment will follow at the St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Rose Township.
