Adolph "Ade" P. Sobon, 81, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, in Suburban General Hospital. He was born Feb. 1, 1920, in Pittsburgh, son of Andrew G. and Anna H. Raus Sobon. Mr. Sobon was an Army veteran of World War II and served as a technician fifth grade with Company B, 35th Signal Group. He worked as painter and custodian for 12 years at North Allegheny School District and as a foreman for the Department of Highways for Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Member of Mt. Nebo Presbyterian Church in Ohio Township for 55 years. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Ellen R. Diley Sobon; a son, Donald R. Sobon of Franklin Park; two daughters, Darlene E. O'Brien of Hopewell Junction, N.Y. and Dana J. Bermudez of Upper St. Clair; four grandchildren, Kali Bloom, Jon Sobon, Elise Bermudez and Molly O'Brien. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Sobon and a brother, Anthony Sobon. Friends received in the H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME INC., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross, from noon to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral service in the funeral home 11 a.m. Monday with his nephew-in-law, the Rev. Norman Tutino of First United Church of Christ and the Rev. Douglas M. Dorsey of Mt. Nebo Presbyterian Church as officiants. Interment in Mt. Nebo Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mt. Nebo Presbyterian Church, Mt. Nebo Road, Sewickley, PA 15143.

Viola C. (Geisler) Stevens, 88, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001. She was the daughter of the late Phillip and Minie Geisler. Wife of the late Joseph R. Stevens. Mother of Ted Stevens of Munhall, Nancy Panarello of North Braddock and Susan Reese of Atlanta. Sister of Selma Geisler and Ruth Herbel, both of Pittsburgh. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the GEORGE IRVIN GREEN FUNERAL HOME INC., A Golden Rule Member Firm, 3511 Main St., Munhall. Funeral Monday at 10 a.m. in Messiah Lutheran Church, 4300 Main St., Munhall, with the Rev. Philip Ramstad officiating. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.

Marie H. Sykes, 74, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001 at Manor Care Nursing Home, Ross. She was born in Pittsburgh on Dec. 3, 1926, a daughter of Nicholas and Hazel Knab Klein. Mrs. Sykes was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Rudy J. Sykes; three sons, Roy J. of North Huntingdon, Carl F. and Cory R. Sykes, both of Ross; two brothers, Richard and Nicholas Klein and a sister, Marge Egerter. Also survived by three grandchildren. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at T.B. DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, Ross, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless.

Helen "Ruby" (Hartos) Wilkinson, on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001. Mrs. Wilkinson was a graduate of Penn State University. Survived by her husband, Dr. John H. Wilkinson of Dublin; two daughters, Susan and her husband David Axt of Cincinnati, Ohio and Patricia and her husband John King of Columbus, Ohio; a son, John G. and his wife Robin Wilkinson of Michigan; and a sister, Florence Sherman of West Mifflin. Grandmother of Katherine King, Emily King, Lauren Wilkinson and Jesse Wilkinson. Family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at GEORGE IRVIN GREEN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3511 Main St. Munhall, a Golden Rule Member Firm. Samuel B. Aronson, 79, of Pittsburgh, on Friday, Nov. 5, 1999. Survived by Lorraine Aronson. Father of Marc, Tod, and Jay Aronson. Brother of the late Earle Aronson and Ruth Epstein. Grandfather of Alexander, Brittany, Sarah, and Benjamin. Uncle of Dorothy Light. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the PAUL L. HENNEY MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 5570 Library Road, Bethel Park. Mr. Aronson was a graduate of Allderdice High School Class of 1937, and of the University of Pittsburgh Class of 1941. He served in World War II and retired from the Army as a colonel. He was employed for 54 years at E.R. Munro and Company. Co-founder of the Pennsylvania Association of Notaries. Albert W. Musgrove, 81, of Greensburg RD2 (Norvelt), died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, in Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. He was born Sept. 5, 1918, in Brinkerton, a son of the late Charles and Grace Shoaf Musgrove. He was a member of the Emanuel Bible Church in Brinkerton and the VFW Post 3368, Mt. Pleasant. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machine operator for Dickerson Construction. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant sisters; an infant brother; four brothers, James, Edward, Gary and Russell Musgrove; and a sister, Stella Miller. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Flossie P. Kalp Musgrove; a stepson, Walter Humbert and his wife, Gail, of Afton, Wyo.; three step-grandchildren, Carol, Albert and Audra; eight step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Musgrove of Oklahoma, Pa., and the Rev. Wayne Musgrove of Delaware; three sisters, Mrs. James (Elsie) Hilty of Mt. Pleasant RD5, Mrs. Robert (Edna) Ackerman of Latrobe RD1 and Mrs. Donald (Jane) Kronk-Rydle of Scottdale; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Larry E. Gregory Skotnicki, 47, of Greensburg, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, at the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Nov. 22, 1951, in McKeesport, the son of Frances Ruszkoski Skotnicki of White Oak and the late Ted J. Skotnicki. He was a master plumber for the Chuba Co. of Homestead, a member of the Church of St. Paul in Greensburg, a committee member of Boy Scout Troop 480, also a charter member of the White Oak Rescue and a member of the McKeesport Knights of Columbus 955. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Carolyn Yaga Skotnicki; two sons, Gregory Skotnicki Jr. and Jonathan Kokos Skotnicki, both at home; three sisters, Mary Parker of Maryland, Bernadette Grese of Liberty Borough and Terri Kisan of McKeesport; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday from 12 to 9 p.m. in the JAYCOX-JAWORSKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 2703 O'Neil Blvd., McKeesport. Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Paul with the Rev. Leonard Stoviak as celebrant. Interment will be in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
