William McKlveen, aged 70 years, 3 months and 1 day, died at the Latrobe hospital Nov. 27, of complications. He was a veteran thresher-man, having followed that occupation the last 49 years. The following children survive: George and Howard, of Ligonier township; Mrs. Ethel Bates and Eugene, of Latrobe; Mrs. Frank Fink, of White Station, and Arthur, of Cleveland, O. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Clarence, Alex., Mrs. John Miller, Mrs. Kate Weimer, all of Ligonier township, and Mrs. Harry Perkey, of Mt. Pleasant township. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday from the V.V. Gaskin funeral home, in charge of the Rev. R.A. Nelson, of the Ligonier Evangelical church. Interment was made in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.

Funeral services were held Wednesday for Clarence M. McKlveen, 82, of W. Main street, Ligonier, who died Sunday in Greensburg after a long illness. The funeral was held from D. Paul Wilkinson Funeral Home to St. James Lutheran Church where Rev. Dr. George J. Baisler conducted obsequies. Interment was in Ligonier Valley Cemetery. Mr. McKlveen was born March 19, 1880, in Ligonier, son of the late John & Mattie Geeting McKlveen. He was a retired farmer. His wife died many years ago, and he is survived by only two brothers (Alex and Harry of Ligonier) and a sister (Mrs. Sadie Perkey of Mount Pleasant).

Funeral services were held Saturday for Alex McKlveen of 204 E. Loyalhanna street, Ligonier, who died Thursday at his home. He was 82. Rev. George H. Wright conducted the services in Sibel-Wolford Funeral Home, and burial was in Ligonier Valley Cemetery. Mr. McKlveen was born in Ligonier Township in March 1881, and was a farm helper. Surviving are a brother (Harry of Ligonier) and a sister (Mrs. Harry Perkey of Mount Pleasant).

Mrs. Katie (McKlveen) Weimer, 63, of Ligonier township, died at 10:30 o'clock Saturday night, April 28, at the Latrobe Hospital where she was admitted Tuesday of last week for medical treatment. She had resided in Ligonier Valley her entire life. Mrs. Weimer was a daughter of the late John and Sarah (Geeting) McKlveen and was born in Ligonier township March 10, 1882. Her husband, the late Clark Weimer, died August 2, 1934. Surviving are nine children: Mrs. Samuel Chappel and Mrs. Harry Johnston, Derry; Mrs. Emory Burns, Mrs. John Rummell, Paul and Harry Weimer, Ligonier Twp.; Mrs. Harry Claycomb and Mrs. Arthur Baum, Ligonier, and Mrs. James Chappel, Latrobe. Mrs. Weimer also leaves 31 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and these five brothers and sisters: Clarence and Alex. McKlveen, Ligonier Twp.; Harry McKlveen, Ligonier; Mrs. Harry Perkey, Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. John Miller, Ligonier Twp. Friends were received at the Sibel Funeral Home until Tuesday when the body was removed to the United Presbyterian Church where funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. J.C. Stormont, assisted by Rev. A.L. Kenyon of Pitcairn. Burial was made in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.

Clark W. Weimer, aged 58 years and 11 months, well known Ligonier township resident, died at 9 o'clock Thursday evening, at his home. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Kate Weimer, and the following children: Mrs. Harry Johnson, of Bolivar; Mrs. Nellie Burns, of Ligonier township; Paul Weimer, of Ligonier township; Mrs. May Claycomb, of Ligonier; Mrs. Sarah Chappell, of Derry; Margaret, Ruth, Edna and Harry, all at home. Six grandchildren, one brother, James, of Ligonier township, and one sister, Mrs. Celia McKlveen, of Ligonier, also survive. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, at the Ligonier Presbyterian church, of which the deceased was a member. Services were in charge of the Rev. A.L. Kenyon, formerly of Ligonier, but now of Mt. Pleasant. Interment was made in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.

Mrs. Anna Mary Miller, 78, Ligonier, died Thursday morning, September 3, in the Latrobe Hospital. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jennie Keppler, Shirleysburg, and Mrs. Sara M. Redfoot, Ligonier; two sons, Ellis W. and Harry D., both of Ligonier; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Clarence, Harry and Alex McKlveen all of Ligonier, and a sister, Mrs. H.C. Perkey, Mt. Pleasant. Friends were received at the Wilkinson Funeral Home, where funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, followed by services in Lebanon Church, Rev. H. Wayne Beam officiating. Interment was made in the church Cemetery.

John A. Miller, 85, retired Ligonier Valley farmer, died at the Latrobe Hospital, Monday, 8 a.m. Death resulted from pneumonia. He was the husband of Anna McKlveen Miller. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Sara M. Knupp, Ligonier R.D. 1; and two sons, Ellis Miller, Ligonier R.D. 2, and Harry B. Miller, Ligonier R.D. 1 A stepdaughter, Mrs. Jennie Keppler, Shirleysburg, Pa.; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Ida David, Longfellow, Pa., also survive. Friends were received at the D. Paul Wilkinson Funeral Home, until Wednesday. Funeral services, in charge of Rev. S. Clay Shaffer, were held Wednesday, 2 p.m., at the Lebanon EUB Church. Interment followed in the church Cemetery.

Amy W. Geeting, 96, of Ligonier, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 1992, at Bethlen Home, Ligonier Township. She was born Oct. 27, 1895, in Loyalhanna, daughter of the late Arthur and Anne Savage Watson. She was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church, Ligonier. She was a charter member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 267 and a member of Fort Ligonier Chapter 349 of the Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Geeting in 1965; two brothers, Arthur and George Watson, and three sisters, Ann Watson, Harriet Hall, and Edith Stewart. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Louise Carlson of Richmond, Va.; a son, Milton Robert Geeting of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Friends were received at Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Ligonier, where services were held today (Wednesday) in the chapel, with the Rev. Donald F. Cook officiating. The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary 267 held services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Heritage United Methodist Church, Ligonier. Helen H. Snyder was in charge of arrangements.

Milton Edward Geeting of 519 W. Main street, Ligonier, a well-known musician in this area and onetime (1956-60) member of the Borough Council, died Sunday in Latrobe Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 72. Rev. Benton R. McKee conducted services Tuesday in Sibel-Wolford Funeral home, and Mr. Geeting was buried in Ligonier Valley Cemetery. He was born Oct. 1, 1892, in Ligonier, son of David A. & Mary Ann Deeds Geeting, graduated from Ligonier High School in 1910. He was a train dispatcher and car distributor for the Ligonier Valley Railroad until it ceased operations in 1952, and since then had been employed at the administration building of Rolling Rock Farms. Years ago he was a member of the now defunct Ligonier Cornet Band: he remembered the concerts he played during the Ligonier Sesqui-centennial in 1908. A life member of the American Federation of Musicians, he played everything from serious music (the Greensburg Concert Band, etc.) to dance music; he played in fireman's bands and fiddled for square dances. Music was his avocation. A veteran of World War I, he was a past-commander of Byers-Tosh American Legion Post 267; he was a member of the Methodist Church, Ligonier Masonic Lodge 331, Coudersport Consistory, and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon. He leaves his widow (the former Amy Watson), a son (Milton Robert of Pittsburgh), a daughter (Mrs. H.C. Carlson Jr. of Berwyn), a brother and a sister (George D. Geeting and Mrs. James W. Hunter of Ligonier) and six grandchildren.
