Joan was an active member of St. Margaret Woman's Guild and Westwood Women's Club. Visitation Wednesday and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the NEW WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Twp. Funeral Mass Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Margaret of Scotland Church. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.

Jane McConnell Ingram, age 87, of Tryon, N.C., on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, in Pittsburgh, after a brief illness. She was the daughter of Henry H. and Gertrude B. McConnell of Warren, Pa., and widow of J. Fred Ingram, former chief executive officer of Ingram Richardson Manufacturing Company, Beaver Falls. Mrs. Ingram is survived by three children, Mrs. Mary Lou Sherrill of Chattanooga, Tenn., Henry McC. Ingram of Pittsburgh and Thomas W. Ingram of West Chester, Pa.; 11 beloved grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ingram maintained a summer residence at Lake Chautauqua, N.Y., and was active in charitable and community affairs in Beaver Falls and Tryon, N.C. She was a devout Episcopalian and an avid reader. Arrangements by the SIMON'S FUNERAL HOME INC., Ross.

Bernard Johnson, 92, on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 10, 1909, in McKeesport, son of John and Emma Larson Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the Army during World War II and served as a fifth grade technician. He was a retired electrician helper for U.S. Steel at Christy Park Works in McKeesport. He was a member of Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth and the American Legion #553 in Elizabeth. Husband of the late Lucetta (Sherman) Johnson, who died Jan. 19, 1990. Survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 221 Second St., Elizabeth. Funeral service noon Tuesday in Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church, Elizabeth, with the Rev. William Little as officiant. Interment in Greenridge Memorial Park, Connellsville.

Clement J. Kiss, 71, on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001, in Jefferson Center Hospital, Jefferson Hills. He was born March 3, 1930, in McKeesport, son of the late Karoley and Helen Sarnecky Kiss. Mr. Kiss was a retired heavy equipment operator with the Lori J. Corporation. He also belonged to St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Elizabeth. Survived by two stepdaughters, Debby Bodnar of North Versailles and Romona Wallace of Daveville, Ala.; a stepson, Dennis Goldbough of Wallkill, N.Y.; a sister, Helen M. Potemra of Duquesne; step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Visitation Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 221 Second St., Elizabeth. Janet E. (Collins) Longmore, 84, on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Karl N. Longmore, and in recent days by her son, Richard T. Longmore. Survived by her loving son, Jack C. Longmore and his wife Debie of Bellevue; daughter-in-law, Betty Longmore of Richland; a sister, Helen Jarsulic of Bellevue; and grandchildren, Jeff P. Longmore and his wife Michelle of Wexford, Melissa Longmore of Bellevue, Tracy Longmore of Johnstown and Richard T. Longmore Jr. of Richland. Mrs. Longmore was a retired teacher's aide with Pittsburgh Public Schools. She was a member of Greenstone United Methodist Church. She used her hobby of crafts as a means of helping others through various community organizations. Memorials are suggested to a Christian charity of choice. Wilfred A. Maxwell, 87, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2001. Born May 10, 1914, in Grafton, W.Va., he was the son of the late Franklin O. and Delphia (Myers) Maxwell. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Lois J. (Williams) Maxwell; eight children, Katherine Catalano of Valencia, Charles Andrew Maxwell of Lyndora, Frank Maxwell of Butler, George Shaffer of Culmerville, Robert Shaffer of West Hickory, Pa., William Shaffer of Valencia, Lois Hallahan of Vineland, N.J., and Randy Shaffer of Valencia; two sisters, Virginia Lloyd of Connecticut and Marjorie Langer of Pittsburgh; one brother, Franklin O. Maxwell of Valencia; also 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and his first wife, Selma (Berg) Maxwell, in 1951. Friends received Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME LTD., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Funeral Service Thursday at 11 a.m. in Deer Creek United Presbyterian Church. Mr. Maxwell was the co-founder of Penn Perry Roofing Inc., which was founded in 1957, and from where he retired in 1977. He was a member of F&AM John E. Maier Lodge 729 in Mars and enjoyed traveling with the Holiday Ramblers. Marguerite R.C. (Shafer) Meising, born Nov. 16, 1916, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001. Beloved wife of Paul Meising. Daughter of Jane and Ulmus Shafer. Sister of Donald W. Shafer. Survived by niece Khristan Shafer, nephew Don Shafer and their families; cousin Nancy Reynolds and family; and sister-in-law Charlotte Shafer. Special gratitude to Don and Jean Corl for their years of friendship, her friends from camp and the staff at Beaver Valley Nursing Center. Raymond E. Miller, 80, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, in Mercy Hospital. He was born on June 1, 1921, in Pittsburgh, son of Raymond and Blossom Knipple Miller. Mr. Miller worked for Allegheny County as a jury investigator and was constable and supervisor for Hampton Township. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Mr. Miller belonged to Teamsters Local Union #249 for 20 years and was a member of American Legion Post 243 in West Sunbury. Survived by Constance B. Miller; his sons, Randall E. Miller, James R. Miller, Michael L. Miller and Scott D. Miller; his sister, Faye L. Welsh; five grandchildren. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the HERBERT R. KING JR. FUNERAL HOME INC., Route 8 at 2841 Woodland Circle, Hampton Twp., where funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Interment to follow in Mt. Royal Cemetery, Shaler.

Preceded in death by her husband, Norbert G. Nist, on March 5, 1968. She is survived by a son, Roy L. Nist and his wife Peggy of Marshall Twp.; a sister, Marcella Devlin of Florida; three grandchildren, Barbara Misner of McCandless, Tom Nist of Davison, N.C., and Kathleen Price of Overland Park, Kan.; also survived by three great-grandchildren.
