Walter C. "Wally" Kiser, 60, of Derry RD3, died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999. He was born Sept. 9, 1939, in Port Vue, a son of the late John and Christine Gochnour Kiser. He was employed in customer service for AGL Inc. of Wall, had retired from Equitable Gas Co. with 37 years of service, and had formerly sung with the "Twiliters" from McKeesport. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Zachary; and his mother-in-law, Louise C. Puschman. Wally is survived by his wife, Cathy M. Puschman Kiser; a son, Justin W.; and a daughter, Stephanie L., all at home; four brothers, John Allen Kiser of Mt. Vernon, Donald Kiser of Port Vue, Gary Kiser of Jeannette and Kris Kiser of Homestead. The family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the MICHAEL J. QUINLISK FUNERAL HOME INC., 548 N. Chestnut St., Derry. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 2 p.m. in St. Joseph Church with the Rev. Stephen C. West as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Derry.
Dolores J. Kozar, 71, of Tarrs, died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, in Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. She was born Feb. 8, 1928, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Josephine Isola Tate. Mrs. Kozar was a member of the East Huntingdon Firemen's Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Visitation Roman Catholic Church of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Kozar, in March 1992. She is survived by her loving family: her children, Robert H. Kozar and his wife, Cindy, of Ruffsdale, David J. Kozar, Thomas E. Kozar and William P. Kozar, all of Tarrs, and Tracey Kuchar and her husband, William, of Ruffsdale; two grandchildren, William Kozar Jr. and Kristi Kozar, both of Greensburg; and two sisters, Ann Bierer of Tarrs and Betty Hagood of Cheyenne, Wyo. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Tate; and two sisters, Marie Germano and Geraldine Shondelmyer. Friends will be received Tuesday from 12 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at GALONE-CARUSO'S, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Visitation R.C. Church, Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Anthony W. Ditto as celebrant. Interment Visitation Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.
Rose M. Marne, 89, of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday morning, Nov. 22, 1999, at Latrobe Area Hospital. Rose was born July 5, 1910, in Catanzaro, Italy, a daughter of the late Costontino and Michelena Donato Caroleo. She was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church and was also a member of the Ladies Lodge Sons of Italy, Sons of Columbus Ladies Lodge and also a member of the Ladies of Mt. Carmel and the Mt. Pleasant Senior Citizens. Rose was the loving mother of Peter F. Marne and his wife, Bonnie, of Kecksburg, and Richard J. Marne at home; three grandchildren, Beth Ann Giles and her husband, James, Peter Scott Marne and his wife, Johanna, and Keith David Marne and his wife, Jill; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Scott Marne, Kathryn Rose Giles, and Noah Robert Marne; a sister, Mrs. Carmela Rega of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank Marne, in 1973. Friends will be received in the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL HOME INC., Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. in the St. Pius X R.C. Church with the Rev. Father Michael W. Matusak as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Pius X Cemetery. Parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 3 p.m. The Ladies of Mt. Carmel Society of St. Pius will recite the rosary in the funeral home Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Randy Lee Holby, 45, of Fort Myers Beach, Fla., formerly of New Alexandria, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at his home. He was born Oct. 30, 1954, in Greensburg, a son of Huldah (Semencar) Holby of New Alexandria and the late Merle Holby. Randy's passion in life was working in printing. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Christine Holby of New Alexandria; a wife, Tonia Holby of Georgia; a sister, Irene Casteel and husband, Jonathan, of Greensburg; a brother, Dennis Holby and wife, Cathy, of New Alexandria; a granddaughter, Samantha Woollen; numerous nieces and nephews; and a good friend, Kim O'Doherty. The family will be receiving family and friends at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., AT TWIN VALLEY, 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, (724) 468-1177, beginning Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Randy's funeral service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Glenn Burrows of the Delmont Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park. Kevin P. Altman.
Evelyn R. Gulentz, 78, of Murrysville, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999. She was born June 13, 1921, in Sharpsburg, a daughter of the late Clayton and Mary Mullen McClarin. She was a member of the Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville, and the Plum Tops Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Gulentz, in 1992; a grandson, Raymond Gulentz, in 1998; and a sister, Mary Margaret McClarin, in 1998. She is survived by a son, John D. "Don" Gulentz Jr. of Murrysville; a daughter, Patricia Todaro of Trafford; a granddaughter, Barbara Cass of Saltsburg; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JOHN T. HART FUNERAL HOME, Murrysville. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Mother of Sorrows Church with Father Joseph Trupkovich as celebrant. Entombment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
H. Clara Kerekes, 79, of Monessen Boulevard, Monessen, passed away Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, in the Mon-Valley Hospital. Born Sept. 26, 1920, in Jerome, Somerset County, she was a daughter of the late John and Catherine Balut Krofcheck. She had been a secretary for the former St. Leonard's Church from 1960 to 1980. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Monessen, and the National AARP. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Pvt. Louis G. Katsuleris, who was killed in Germany in 1945; her second husband, Michael F. Kerekes, in 1984; her stepfather, Frank Wozniak; two brothers, Stanley and Anthony Krofcheck; two stepbrothers; and a stepsister. Survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, George L. and Judy Katsuleris of Upper St. Clair and Anthony L. and Mary Ann Katsuleris of Monongahela; a daughter and son-in-law, J. Maria and Louis S. Sepe of Washington, Pa.; four stepchildren, Michael A. Kerekes of Arizona, Karen Filapose of Irwin, Marlene Kowall of Monessen, and Valerie Porreca of North Carolina; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Josephine Czmiel of Washington, Pa. Friends will be received at the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Boulevard, Monessen, Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at the Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Monessen. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
Carolyn Marie Supancic Bold, 86, of Penn, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, in Beverly Healthcare, Murrysville. She was born Jan. 28, 1913, in Claridge, a daughter of the late Frank and Anna Lazar Supancic. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church of Penn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Leo Bold; a son, Alan; two brothers, John and Frank Supancic; and a sister, Mollie Supancic. Survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Price and her husband, Richard, of Forest Hills and Alberta Cervenak and her husband, Ron, of Murrysville; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Pete and Bill Supancic, both of Claridge; two sisters, Annie Rednock of Export and Elsie Freustorfer of Bethel Park; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends were received at the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Boniface Church, Penn. Mary Cline, 84, of Penn, our beloved mother, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999. She was born Sept. 15, 1915, in Export, a daughter of the late Ralph E. and Grace Smith Hill. She was a member of Ascension Church in Jeannette and a former member of Hill's Church Emmanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Export. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis J. Cline; a son, Gary E. Kline; two great-grandsons, Jason A. Gray and George J. Cline; three brothers, Charles E., Jacob W. and Richard G. Hill; and four sisters, Zelda M. Hill, Marie Hill, Stella C. Hill and Nora E. Bollinger. She is survived by five sons, Donald and wife, Violet Cline, of Jeannette, Melvin and wife, Emily Cline, of Apollo, Barry and wife, Barbara Cline, of Jeannette, Richard Cline at home, and Jay and wife, Susan Cline, of Penn; three daughters, Mrs. Pete (Hilda) Starry of Export, Mrs. John (Kay) Moff of Jeannette and Colleen Cline of Jeannette; a daughter-in-law, Susanne Kline, of Jeannette; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a sister, Martha G. Holt, of Export; a brother, William W. "Bill" Hill, of Blairsville; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N.
