Timothy R. Brewer, 47, a risk manager for G.E. Capital in Danbury, Conn., died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, in Mt. Sinai Hospital, New York City, N.Y. Mr. Brewer was the husband of Christine (Orzek) Brewer and resided at 203 Walnut Tree Hill Road, Sandy Hook, Conn. He was born in Coronado, Calif., July 6, 1952, a son of Robert and Mary Jane (Whigham) Brewer of Jeannette. Mr. Brewer was a graduate of St. Vincent College, near Latrobe. He was employed by G.E. Capital for the past 22 years. He was a resident of Sandy Hook for 12 years. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Brewer is survived by a son, Joseph R. Brewer of Sandy Hook; two daughters, Jennifer M. Brewer of Sandy Hook and Jillian L. Brewer of Monroeville; two brothers, Ronald Brewer of Jeannette and Jerry Brewer of Economy Borough; his maternal grandmother, Thelma Whigham of Jeannette; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from the HONAN FUNERAL HOME, 58 Main St., Newtown, Conn., and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull, Conn. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Honan Funeral Home. Sarah Elizabeth Hayden, 87, of Greensburg, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Jan. 25, 1912, in Youngwood, a daughter of the late Leonard and Henrietta Carrell Henry. She was a graduate of Westmoreland Hospital School of Nursing. Prior to her retirement, she was a registered nurse with the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg, and had served as a nurse with the U.S. Navy during World War II. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Carolyn Matthews and Mrs. Viola Truxel. She is survived by two daughters, Cassandra E. Hayden of Greensburg and Mrs. Charmaine Clawson and her husband, Charles, of Greensburg; a granddaughter, Heather Michelle Clawson of Boston, Mass.; a brother, Leonard Henry and his wife, Louise, of Winter Park, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Trout and her husband, Stanley, and Mrs. Mary Armbrust, both of Youngwood; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the COSHEY-NICHOLSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas A. Walters officiating. Elmit Calcagni, 75, of Ruffsdale RD1, South Huntingdon Township, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Smithton, a son of the late Emilio and Mary Calcagni. He was a retired insurance agent for Metropolitan Insurance and formerly operated Cal's Dairy Bar in Mendon and was currently employed at the Garden Center at Seton Hill. He was a graduate of Connellsville High School, Class of 1942, and was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of St. Timothy's Roman Catholic Church of Smithton, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and a Eucharistic minister, and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Alan Calcagni; a brother, Cleo Calcagni; and a sister, Mary Ratcliff. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Pearle Nagy Calcagni; two sons, Brian Calcagni of Greensburg and David Calcagni and his wife, Linda, of Youngwood; five granddaughters, Shanna Lynn, Chelsea, Kristy, Marissa "Rue" and Emilee Rose; two sisters, Mafalda Horrocks of Fredonia, N.Y., and Amelita Dorst of Reno, Nev.; two brothers, Gerald Calcagni of Belle Vernon and Amel Calcagni of Collinsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the L.L. BARTHELS FUNERAL HOME INC., Second Street, Smithton. Additional viewing will be held in the funeral home Saturday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Timothy's Roman Catholic Church, Smithton, with Father Paul Stivason as celebrant. Interment will be in Olive Branch Cemetery, Rostraver Township.
Guido DePaul, 84, of Vandergrift, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, at Citizens General Hospital, New Kensington. He was born Jan. 24, 1915, in Iselin, Pa., a son of the late Nick and Flora Criola DePaul. He had lived in Vandergrift most of his life. He was the police chief in Vandergrift since 1967, becoming a member of the police force in 1946 and retiring in July of 1985. Also, he was a member of St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church; Sons of Italy, Vandergrift; Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #39, New Kensington; Knights of Columbus, Vandergrift; and Vandergrift Golf Course. He was a graduate of Vandergrift High School, Class of 1935, and attended the Kiski School in Saltsburg and IUP. where he was an All-State end in football. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II and Korea. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Nicholas Civitillo; a brother, Hugo DePaul; and two sisters, Clara DePaul Ferraro and Colleen DePaul Quintana. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carmela Gallo DePaul; his children, Mrs. Frank (Rebecca "Becky") Aloi of Plantation, Fla., Mrs. James (Maria) Kaponin of Beaver Falls, Nicholas DePaul of Irwin, and Mrs. Paul (Patricia) Hollinger of Allegheny Township; five grandchildren; a sister, Elva DePaul Sundberg of Pittsburgh; and a brother, Joseph Civitillo of Vandergrift. Visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the BRADY-CURRAN FUNERAL HOME INC., 429 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, Vandergrift, Monday at 10 a.m. with Father Thaddeus Rettger as celebrant. Interment St. Gertrude Cemetery, Vandergrift. Mitchell D. King, 90, of Park Street, Scottdale, passed away on his 90th birthday, Wednesday evening, Jan. 12, 2000, in the Scottdale Manor Rehabilitation Center, East Huntingdon Township. Mitch was born at Owensdale in Upper Tyrone Township, Jan. 12, 1910, a son of the late Nelson and Mary Enos King. He married the former Margaret Mehallick on Jan. 28, 1942. Mitch retired as the manager for the King Amoco Gas Station on Broadway in Scottdale, where he had worked for 36 years. In later years, Mitch was employed by Hackney Security Company, working as a security guard at both Frick Hospital in Mt. Pleasant and M & G Convoy in New Stanton. He was the oldest member of the Owensdale United Methodist Church and was a member of the Sunday School and Men's Bible Classes. Mitch also was a member of the Retired United Methodist Men, the American Legion Post #240 of Scottdale, and the VFW Post #3368 of Mt. Pleasant. A veteran of World War II, Mitch served as a corporal in the U.S. Army's Company A, 774th Tank Battalion. His tour of duty under General George Patton included Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Central Europe, and the Ardennes. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Service Medal, and European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with five Bronze Stars. Mitch is survived by his devoted family who will cherish his eternal memory; his wife, Margaret Mehallick King, with whom he would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary; his daughter, Linda C. Spilsbury and her husband, Whitney; his granddaughter, Tiffany Bauer; and his great-grandson, Michael Bauer, all of Cranberry Township; his brother, R. Milford King and his wife, Retha (Huff), of Owensdale; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mitch was preceded in death by six brothers, Enos, Nathaniel, Randall, Gene, Francis, and Wendell King. Family and friends will be received at the ROBERT B. Madeleine Alice Dando Eichleay, 87, a resident of Pittsburgh and Rector, Pa., peacefully, after a long illness, on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000. The third of five daughters of the late George W. and Elizabeth McKallip Dando of Beaver, Pa. Beloved wife of the late John W. Eichleay. Loving mother of John W. and George F. Eichleay and grandmother of Elvira, John Edward, Margaret, George, Peter and Haven Eichleay. Also survived by her oldest sister, Genevieve Riviere Barton. Services and interment

Myra Leonard Rimlinger, 79, of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, at her residence. She was born May 2, 1920, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late William and Gretta Smitley Leonard. She was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth R. Rimlinger; a daughter, Connie Rimlinger of California; two brothers, Chester Leonard and wife, Molly, and Thomas Leonard and wife, Gladys, all of Mt. Pleasant; and two sisters, Leona Smith of Alexandria, Va., and Donna Cyktor and husband, George, of Hopwood. Her funeral service will be held in the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL HOME INC., Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, Friday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Richard W. Shields officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Pius X Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.
Florence D. O'Bradovic Rottmund, 76, of North Huntingdon, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, in the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. Born Feb. 16, 1923, in Irwin, a daughter of the late Mile and Angie Petrovitch O'Bradovic. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church of Irwin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, P. Kenneth Rottmund; and a son, Harold D. Rottmund. Survived by a daughter, Michele and her husband, Rod Ruby, of North Huntingdon; two sons, Charles M. Rottmund of Houston, Texas, and P. Kenneth Rottmund Jr. of North Huntingdon; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Helen Highducheck of North Huntingdon; and two brothers, George O'Bradovic of Hanover, Pa., and Nicholas O'Bradovic of North Huntingdon. Friends will be received at the JOSEPH F. OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., Fifth and Oak streets, Irwin, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at noon in Immaculate Conception Church. Katherine (Butchko) Stump, 80, formerly of Latrobe RD1, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at Life Care Hospital, Wilkinsburg. She was born Nov. 19, 1919, in Smock, a daughter of the late Martin and Anna (Bailey) Butchko. Prior to retirement, she worked as a cook and waitress at Himics Tavern and also at Halulas Restaurant. She was a member of the Pleasant Unity United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Dale Stump; a grandson, G. Trent Geer; two stepgrandsons, Thomas and Kevin Aukerman; two brothers, Paul and Raymond; and four sisters, Helen, Anna, Emma, and Mary Caroline. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth E. Stump and wife, Bonnie, of Latrobe and Dale Stump and wife, Sharon, of Salvo, N.C.; three daughters, Beverly Geer and friend, Rufus Baker, of Lake Clarke Shores, Fla., Mrs. William (Faye) Kandor of St. George, Utah, and Mrs. Thomas (Karen) Aukerman of Latrobe RD3; 13 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and a number of nieces and nephews. George Thieler, 65, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. Born April 16, 1934, in York Run, Pa., a son of the late Jacob Henry and Bertha Louise Zelmore Thieler. He was a retired truck driver and served with the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America District #4. Survived by his wife, Lois Faye Thieler of Mt. Pleasant; three sons, George Jr. and his wife, Darla Thieler, of Scottdale, Dave and his wife, Margaret Thieler, of Dawson, and Gerald Thieler and his fiancee, Andrea Lyngvar; a stepson, Robert M. Krepps and his wife, Tracey, of Hostetter, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Bonnie F. Bugosh of Scottdale; a grandson; six step-grandchildren; three brothers, Wallace and Albert Thieler, both of Mt. Pleasant, and Wilbert Thieler of Scottdale; and a sister, Audrey Booher of Mt. Pleasant. Friends will be received in the LUTHER J. GRIMM FUNERAL HOME, Mt.
