Dorothy (Pointon) Kalb, on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001. Preceded in death by her husband, George E. Kalb, and a son, Lawrence G. Kalb. Mrs. Kalb was a salesperson for World Book and Childcraft Encyclopedias, a former agent with West Real Estate and a volunteer with Meals-On-Wheels. She is survived by three children, Janet Boehme of Butler, Arlene Rusch of Heber Springs, Ark., and Theodore Kalb of Newark, Ohio; four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Nov. 18, at 4 p.m. in North Park Baptist Church, 1600 Sample Road, Allison Park. Memorials may be made to the church.

H. Elizabeth "Bette" (Nied) Lauterbach, age 86, on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, in UPMC Passavant. Born March 4, 1915, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Helen Falkenstein Nied. In addition to her parents, Bette was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter A. Lauterbach, and son, William "Billy" Lauterbach. Survivors include two daughters, Penney Miller of McCandless and Sandra Beckwith of Idaho; one sister, Annalou Poole of McCandless; grandchildren, Monica Monismith, Ben and Emily Miller, Max Beckwith and Danielle Beckwith Lehman; great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Micah Monismith and Brooke Beckwith. Friends received Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. in the SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME LTD., 388 Center Ave., West View. The Rev. Donald Anderson from St. John's Lutheran Church of Highland, will officiate. Burial following in Union Dale Cemetery. Mrs. Lauterbach was a member of Margaret Morrison College (Carnegie Mellon) Alumni Class of 1936. The family suggests donations to a charity of choice.

Margaret K. McKnight, 104, on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, in Jefferson Hills Manor, Jefferson Hills. She was born May 25, 1897, in Northumberland, England, a daughter of the late William Dennis and Sarah Ann Payne Shore. Mrs. McKnight was a homemaker and a member of the Elizabeth Wesleyan Church, Elizabeth, where she was an officer of the board, a vocalist, pianist and Sunday School teacher. Wife of the late Columbus L. McKnight; mother of Hazel Ann Huffman of Alanson, Mich., Charles A. McKnight and his wife Edith of Owosso, Mich., Robert A. McKnight and his wife Juanita of Yukon, Okla., William Dennis McKnight and his wife Shirley of Belle Vernon, and David D. McKnight and his wife Sallie of Midland, Mich. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday 6 to 9 p.m. in the PAUL E. John A. Moeller, 73, on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, in UPMC Passavant. He was born April 10, 1928, in Pittsburgh, son of John A. and Anna Krale Moeller. Mr. Moeller was a real estate agent and a World War II Navy veteran. Survived by his wife, Mary Lou Knoebel, and a sister, Lois Ann Chain. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Rodgers was a retired bricklayer with Local #9 A.F. of L. He was a Korean War Army veteran, serving as a private. He was also a member of St. Pius V Parish in McKeesport and the White Oak American Legion. Husband of RoseMarie (Zalac) Rodgers; father of Jeffrey Rodgers of Somerset, Jody Dunlay of White Oak and Barbara Boyett of Land o Lakes, Fla.; brother of William Rodgers of Tampa, Fla., and Gloria Rodgers of Pittsburgh. Also survived by six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a brother, Robert Rodgers.
