Paul E. "Hank" Weaver, 79, of North Huntingdon, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at his residence. He was born Oct. 2, 1920, in Irwin, a son of the late Frank and Myrtle (Creighton) Weaver. He was a machinist for the Elliott Co. He was a member of the Westmoreland City Primitive Methodist Church, Westmoreland City Fire Department, Westmoreland County Fireman's Association, Mohawks, Shidle Lodge #601 F&AM, Manor Senior Citizens, and Meals-on-Wheels. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois J. (Abram) Weaver; a brother, Raymond Weaver; and four sisters, Caroline Hitchens, Dorothy Hitchens, Eleanor Weaver, and Lera O'Black. Survived by two daughters, Rebecca and husband, Stephen Hamilton, of North Huntingdon and Lori and husband, Corey Sechler, of Mineral Ridge, Ohio; a sister, Evelyn Jones of Jeannette; and four grandchildren, Chad and Erika Hamilton, and Karli and Katie Sechler. Friends will be received at the VINCENT V. RODGERS FUNERAL HOME, 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Rodgers Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bernard L. Murphy officiating. Mohawks service will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Interment Brush Creek Cemetery. Memorials to Westmoreland City Primitive Methodist Church.
Manny Weiss, on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, in Florida. Beloved husband of Sue Weiss. Mildred F. Wilcox, 76, of Murrysville, on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999. Born Jan. 19, 1923, in Braddock, a daughter of the late Irvin and Stella Welsh Rittko. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Export. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Theodore; and two sisters, Edith Creighton and Alice Zimmerman. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Merle D. Wilcox; two sons, Merle D. Jr. "Pete" and wife, Judy, of Plum and Harry A. and wife, Linda, of Somerset; a daughter, Renee Baker and husband, Russell, of New Kensington; a brother, Irvin Rittko and wife, Gladys, of Export; three sisters, Ella Soles, Sally Lauer and husband, John, and May Hill and husband, Frank, all of Murrysville; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the EDWIN N. WOLFE FUNERAL HOME INC., Export, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services Friday at 11 a.m. in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Export, with the Rev. Russell V. Agostini, 64, of Pitcairn, on Friday, Nov. 16, 2001. Friend of Josey Shaffo; brother of Mary J. Banderinko of Monroeville and Carl Agostini of Wilmerding; uncle of Joseph, Donna and Russell; also survived by several great-nieces and -nephews. Mr. Agostini owned and operated the Russ Agostini Service Station in Wilmerding for 46 years and was a member of the Wilmerding Lions Club. Friends will be received Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the WM. O. PEARCE FUNERAL HOME INC., 318 Wall Ave., Pitcairn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Church.
Scottdale
Peter A. Badini Jr., 74, of Scottdale, died Friday evening, Nov. 16, 2001, in Westmoreland Manor, Hempfield Township, where he had been a resident for one week. Pete was born in Pittsburgh, March 16, 1927, a son of the late Peter A. Badini Sr. and Assunta E. "Sunda" Balsamo Badini. He was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church of Scottdale and of the community. He was a retired electrical welder for the former Robertshaw Controls, New Stanton, with 45 years of service. Pete was a veteran of the armed forces serving during World War II in the South Pacific with the U.S. Navy Seabees. He attained the rank of machinist mate third class and was the recipient of the Pacific and American Theatre Ribbons and the World War II Victory Medal. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7781 and the American Legion Post 240, both of Scottdale, and also U.S. Steel Union CIO Local 1163, New Stanton. Pete is survived by his loving and devoted sister, Donna L. McGarvey and her husband, Richard G., of Springboro, Ohio; his nephew and niece, Richard G. McGarvey and his wife, Tiffany, of Springboro, Ohio, and Lisa Marie McGarvey of Centerville, Ohio; and his great-niece, Alyssa Marie McGarvey. In addition to his parents, Pete was predeceased by a brother in infancy. Pete's family will receive friends in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Scottdale, with his pastor, the Rev. Leonard W. Stoviak, as celebrant. Committal service and interment
will follow in St. John the Baptist Parish Cemetery, Scottdale, with full military honors accorded by the Southmoreland Veterans Association. It was Pete's wish that memorials be made to St. John the Baptist Parochial School, South Broadway, Scottdale, in his memory. A parish wake service will be held Monday at 2:15 p.m. in the funeral home.

Formerly of Greensburg
Thomas L. Beaufort, of Longs, S.C., formerly of Hempfield Township, Greensburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at home. Born in Grapeville, Aug. 26, 1937, he was a son of the late Leonard and Lillian (Radulovich) Beaufort. He retired as a senior design engineer from SMS Mannesmann Demag Corporation, Pittsburgh. He served three terms as Hempfield Township supervisor and one term as Hempfield Township auditor. Surviving are his wife, Carole (Rowe) Beaufort; three sons, Scott D. Beaufort and wife, Crystal, of Westminster, Colo., Bruce C. Beaufort and wife, Christine, of Erie and Todd W. Beaufort and wife, Jennifer, of Apex, N.C.; five grandchildren, Allison and Paige Beaufort of Westminster, Colo., Owen and Adam Beaufort of Erie and Grayden Beaufort of Apex, N.C.; and two brothers, Dennis L. Beaufort of Washington, D.C., and Ronald E. Beaufort of Laguna Niguel, Calif. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, please make charitable donations to your favorite charity. A memorial service is planned for Monday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. in the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 246 S. Main St., Greensburg, with the Rev. E. Allen Scanlon officiating. Michael Belinsky, 70, of Trafford, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at home. A son of the late Andrew Bilinsky and Barbara Kornecki Bilinsky, he was a retired bus driver with Greyhound. Beloved brother of Tillie B. Kokladas of Ocala, Fla., John Bilinsky of Pitcairn, Helen Galbraith of Trafford, Mildred Campbell of Trafford, Dorothy Tully of Trafford, Catherine Hockberry of Illinois, Walter Bilinsky of Avonmore, Frank Bilinsky of Willmar, Minn., and the late Ann Pavlick, Mary and Nick Bilinsky. Godfather of David and Adrienne Campbell. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Anna Bidzila, 82, of Monongahela, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, in the Washington County Health Center, Washington, Pa. She was born Nov. 8, 1919, in Monessen, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Fedorako Sukolosh. Mrs. Bidzila and her late husband, Charles, had owned and operated Bidzila's Food Market on Fifth and Conrad avenues, North Charleroi, from 1949 to 1969. She was a member of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Church, Monongahela. Surviving relatives include a daughter, Geraldine Nicholson of Monongahela; a granddaughter, Michele Nicholson Thomas and her husband, Dr. David; a grandson, Michael C. Nicholson; two great-granddaughters, Hannah Marie and Lauren Margaret Thomas; a sister, Margaret Lombardo and her husband, John, of Orlando, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bidzila Jr., on June 16, 2001; and a sister, Elizabeth Markinack. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the L.M. FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where a blessing service will be held Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Church with the Very Rev. Helen M. (Karelis) DeCarlo, 70, of Greensburg, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born July 31, 1931, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late William and Pauline (Sever) Karelis. She was a member of the Church of St. Paul, Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick J. DeCarlo Sr., on Jan. 15, 1997; and a son-in-law, Gregory C. Kochis, on Oct. 12, 1999. She is survived by her son, Frederick J. DeCarlo Jr. of Greensburg; four daughters, Mrs. Donald E. (Connie) Laudadio of Ligonier, Mrs. Anthony (Diane) Merritt of Wyoming, Mich., Cindy DeCarlo Kochis of Greensburg and Mrs. Howard (Paula) Hughes of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren, Tiffany, Stephanie and Brittany DeCarlo, Danielle and Cristy Laudadio and Steven and Abby Merritt; a brother, John and his wife, Michelle Karelis, of Chillicothe, Ohio; four sisters, Pauline Romagnino of Greensburg, Nancy and her husband, Charles Kemerer, of Jeannette, Betty and her husband, Anthony Pacienza, of Greensburg and Marion and her husband, Dominic Mediate, of Level Green; and several nieces and nephews.
