Melva E. Kleppner, 86, on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at Mariner Health Care Center, Coraopolis. SHe was born in Coaldale, Pa., Feb. 4, 1915, daughter of the late Henry and Hannah Derr Kleppinger. She was a member of Aspinwall United Presbyterian Church, Aspinwall American Legion Auxilliary and the Ambridge Sportsman Club. Survived by two daughters, Mary Jane Arture and Ellen Tanski; five grandchildren, Michael Arture, Robert E. Kleppinger Jr., Craig Arture, Brian Kleppner and Susan Tanski; one great-grandchild, Cole Christopher Kleppner; two brothers, George and James Kleppinger; her dear friend and companion, Ted Kasper. Preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Kleppner; a son, Robert E. Kleppner Sr.; three brothers, Henry, William and Thomas Kleppinger; one sister, Mary Jane Heisler. Friends received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at WORRELL FUNERAL HOME, corner of Main and Ninth Streets, Sharpsburg, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Mary Jane Fullerton as officiant. Interment in Allegheny Cemetery, Lawrenceville.

Dennis C. McDonough

Dennis C. McDonough Sr., 76, on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Oakland. He was born March 8, 1925, in Pittsburgh, son of John A. and Josephine Meslon McDonough. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, John McDonough. He was a proud Army veteran of World War II. Mr. McDonough was a wholesale tire salesman for Goodyear Tire Co. Member of VFW Mars Post #7505, American Legion Post #548, K of C #886 and John E. Maier Lodge #729 F.& A.M. Survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Mary Ellen (Shkuratoff) McDonough; father of Mary Lou Longshore of Fla., Joan Ann Wagner of Valencia, Dennis C. McDonough Jr. of Valencia, Josie E. Schoemaker of Renfew, William J. McDonough of Oregon, John McDonough of Butler, Michael F. McDonough of N.Y., Deborah H. Lewis of Butler, Robert P. McDonough of Fombell and Christine A. Cherry of Valencia. Brother of Frank McDonough and Bill McDonough of Pittsburgh and Joe McDonough of Calif., Mary Ellen Walsh, Lois Sperl and Josephine Snyder of Pittsburgh. Also survived by 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME LTD., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Sepulcher Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Father John P. Maloney as celebrant. Interment in Butler Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Marguerite R.C. (Shafer) Meising

Marguerite R.C. (Shafer) Meising, born Nov. 16, 1916, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001. Beloved wife of Paul Meising. Daughter of Jane and Ulmus Shafer. Sister of Donald W. Shafer. Survived by niece Khristan Shafer, nephew Don Shafer and their families; cousin Nancy Reynolds and family; and sister-in-law Charlotte Shafer. Special gratitude to Don and Jean Corl for their years of friendship, her friends from camp and the staff at Beaver Valley Nursing Center. Marge will be missed by all whose lives she touched and welcomed by Paul, who has been waiting for her. Arrangements by CAMPBELLS FUNERAL HOME, 1326 Eighth Ave., Beaver Falls.

Sister Catherine Seton Sweeney
Greensburg
Sister Catherine Seton Sweeney, 80, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, in the motherhouse of the Sisters of Charity, Seton Hill, Greensburg. She was born Sept. 2, 1921, in Pittsburgh, the eldest daughter of the late Raymond D. and Helen (Henninger) Sweeney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Harney and Helen Mangan. She is survived by an aunt, Sister Mary Gabriel Henninger, S.S.M. of St. Louis, Mo.; a niece; and four nephews. Sister Catherine Seton entered the Sisters of Charity March 25, 1940, from Resurrection Parish, Brookline. She earned her B.S. in nursing education and her M.Ed. from Duquesne University in 1952 and 1959. Sister Catherine Seton graduated from the Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing in 1948 and began her long tenure there. She served as a registered nurse, clinical instructor, medical-surgical and operating room supervisor, assistant director of nursing service and assistant director of in-service education. Later, she served as a medical records technician. In 1973, the hospital recognized her 25 years of service. Following retirement in 1987, Sister Catherine Seton provided nursing consultant services at Elizabeth Seton Center and the Stephen Foster Center. There, she initiated caregivers support groups which met monthly to help caregivers solve problems encountered in caring for frail elderly persons at home. A prize-winning painter and avid photographer, Sister Catherine Seton also belonged to the Sisters Choir, St. Paul Cathedral Choir and the Oasis Chorus. For many years she was active on the Sisters of Charity Vocation Awareness Committee. Friends will be received Sunday and Monday from 1:30 to 6:45 p.m. at Caritas Christi, 459 Mt. Thor Road, Greensburg. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of the Assumption, Caritas Christi. Interment , Sisters' Cemetery, Seton Hill. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of Charity, DePaul Center, 463 Mt. Thor Road, Greensburg, PA 15601.

Frederick William Blair
Frederick William Blair, on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001. Loving husband of Blanche Till Blair; father of Mark Blair of Denair, Calif., Tory Fisher, Lark Blasi, Bridget Blair of Atlanta, Anna Fording and David Blair. Grandfather of Justin and Evan Blair, J.D. and Drew Fisher, Jenny, Elizabeth, Patrick, Stephen and Christina Blasi, Danielle, Leslie and Natalie Fording and Zachary and Matthew Blair. Mr. Blair founded the Frederick Blair Company in 1950 and was recognized as Pittsburgh's premier authority on fine lighting until his retirement. Mr. Blair took great pleasure in his work and countless homes and businesses in Pittsburgh and around the country bear witness to the enduring quality and excellence of his work. His greatest pleasure, however, was to be in the company of his family. He will be lovingly remembered for his keen intellect, disarming sense of humor, generosity of spirit and his love for the pursuit of beauty. Friends received at JOHN A. FREYVOGEL SONS INC., 4900 Centre Ave. at Devonshire Street, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday. M. Thoburn Banks, 89, Scottdale, passed away Tuesday evening, Nov. 9, 1999, at his residence. Family and friends will be received at the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale, (724) 887-5300, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Paul B. Morris officiating. Graveside committal services and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Bullskin Township, next to his late wife. Grace (Nicolai) Buscaglio
Grace (Nicolai) Buscaglio, passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, in Mesa, Ariz. Born in Greensburg in 1929, she was a daughter of the late Nicola and Mary Vitello Nicolai. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John; a son, Nicholas; brothers, August and Philip Nicolai; and a sister, Frances Cafasso. Survived by sons, Joseph and wife, Sharon, of Yorba Linda, Calif., and John and wife, Susan, of Queen Creek, Ariz.; daughters, Tammy and husband, Gilbert, of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Tracy and husband, Mark, of Tempe, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; brothers, Don Rinchuse of Florida, Lou Nicolai and George Nicolai, both of Greensburg; sisters, Josephine Drazdik and Jane Frye, both of Latrobe, and Peg Stabile of Greensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held Thursday, Nov. 11, in Mesa, Ariz.

Concetta M. "Augustine" Collura
Concetta M. "Augustine" Collura, 87, formerly of Brookline, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, in the Beverly Healthcare, Murrysville. She was born Nov. 10, 1912, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Leonardo and Fortunata Manguso Merlino. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Collura. Surviving are a daughter, Petrina "Bee-Bee" Collura of North Huntingdon; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the JOSEPH F. OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., Fifth and Oak streets, Irwin, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh.

Anne E. Delisle
Anne E. Delisle, 101, of Greensburg, formerly of Malone, N.Y., died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, at the St. Anne Home, Greensburg. She was born June 29, 1898, in Owls Head, N.Y., a daughter of the late Oliver and Delia Cusson Petelle. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church, its Rosary Altar Society and Seniors' Group, CD of A Malone Court and was an avid bowler with the senior citizens in Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Omer Delisle; and four brothers, Walter, Prosper, Ernest and Lawrence Petelle. She is survived by four children, Omer Delisle and his wife, Ruth, of Spencerport, N.Y., Frances Bianculli and husband, Anthony, of Rock Hill, N.J., Joan Fagioli and husband, Carl, of Oldsmar, Fla., and Jacqueline K. Baum and husband, Edward, of Greensburg, with whom Anne made her home the past 25 years; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services and interment will be in Malone, N.Y. Arrangements under the direction of the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME, 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, (724) 837-0020. Natale N.
