Albert A. Bealko, 71, of Port Vue, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born July 29, 1928, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late William Coleman and Pearl Rozazinski Bealko. He is survived by his former wife, Alice Faye Bealko; three daughters, Beverly (Dennis) Petrovay of North Huntingdon, Veronica Walker of Ponce Inlet, Fla., and Susan (Dennis) James of North Huntingdon; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pearl Fetzko of Henderson, Texas, and Helen Bekowitz of North Versailles; a brother, Edward Bealko of Indiantown, Fla.; and nieces and nephews. He was the owner of the former Al Payton's Place Bar and Restaurant and had been previously employed as a brakeman for Union Railroad and a delivery man for Stratigos Catering of White Oak. He was a member of St. Martin DePorres Parish, where he had served as an usher and volunteer for church activities, including the Lenten fish dinners. He had served in the U.S. Army and the Merchant Marines during World War II. Visitation will be held at the WILLIG FUNERAL HOME, 220 Ninth Ave., McKeesport, Saturday evening from 7 to 9 and Sunday from 12 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Worship Site, McKeesport, with the Very Rev. John Rushofsky officiating. Interment will follow at New St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles.
Samuel J. Benish, 92, of Irwin, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999. He was born Jan. 7, 1907, in Biddle, Pa. (North Huntingdon Township), a son of the late Sam and Catherine (Bright) Benish. He was an inspector for WABCO (Westinghouse Air Brake), Wilmerding, retiring in 1970. He was a member of Shafton V.F.D., Westmoreland County Firemen's Association, Manor American Legion Post 472, and served in the U.S. Army, 11th Armored Division, during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose (Brivec) Benish, on Dec. 24, 1973; two brothers, Thomas and Peter Benish; and a sister, Agnes Benish. Survived by a son, Charles M. and wife, Shirley Benish, of Irwin; two grandchildren, Charles Mark Benish of Herminie and Kelly Heffner of Baltimore, Md.; a brother, Mark Benish of Irwin; and a sister, Katherine Plues of Irwin. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the VINCENT V. RODGERS FUNERAL HOME, 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin. A blessing service will be held Monday, Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
Domenic Bognano, 85, of Greensburg, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Aug. 2, 1914, in North East, Pa., a son of the late Calogero and Lucia Palascino Bognano. He was a former employee of the Walworth Valve Co., was a member of the Maplewood United Presbyterian Church, and was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Concetto Bognano. He is survived by two brothers, Samuel of Jeannette and John of Greensburg; four sisters, Mrs. Arem (Josephine) Foti, Mrs. Paul (Pauline) Fritz, and Mrs. Roland (Mildred "Babe") Pacienza, all of Greensburg, and Mrs. Mary Caruso of North Ridgeville, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitation. Private funeral services will be held with the Rev. Stephen M. LaSor officiating. Interment will be in Westmoreland Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. Memorial donations may be made to the Maplewood United Presbyterian Church, 108 Woodland Road, Greensburg, PA 15601. Alvin P. Sandra Lynn (Reitze) Daube, suddenly Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, in the Dominican Republic. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Carle Daube. Dear daughter of the late Harry W. and Ruth M. Reitze. Helen Crouse Delikat, 80, of Whitney, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, in Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born Feb. 5, 1919, in Whitney, a daughter of the late Alex and Anna Smolleck Crouse. She was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, Latrobe. She was a former resident of Irvington, N.J. She was retired from Standard Optical Co. in Livingston, N.J. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Delikat; and two brothers, Anthony and Joseph Crouse. She is survived by three brothers, Steve Crouse of Whitney, with whom she made her home for 17 years after her retirement, George Crouse and his wife, Dorothy, of Mystic, Conn., and Andrew Crouse and his wife, Leona, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; five sisters, Anna Rakaczky of Pleasant Unity, Catherine Luffey of Cecil, Sophie Stanko of Pittsburgh, Margaret Desport of Latrobe, and Betty Dominick and her husband, Eddie, of Jeannette; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Parastas and Panachida services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by Divine Liturgy at 11 a.m. in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church with the Rev. Xavier Elambassery as celebrant. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Unity Township.
Mary Grace (Ryan) Duffy, 88, of Library, formerly of Shadyside, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999. Wife of the late Patrick Duffy. Beloved mother of Patricia Wipper of Studio City, Calif., Kathleen Gasior of Library, and Bernard Duffy of Erie; stepmother of Mildred, Rita, Patrick, Betty, Jane, and the late Elva, Margaret, Emmett, and Dorothy. Also numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Visitation from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the DAVID J. HENNEY FUNERAL HOME, 6364 Library Road (Route 88), Library. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church.
Pauline Jane Essway, 57, of Jeannette, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, in the Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. She was born May 3, 1942, in Ardara, a daughter of the late William and Dorothy Pedder Novak. She was employed as a waitress at Pitzer's Restaurant in Jeannette. She is survived by her husband, John W. Essway Sr.; two sons, John W. Essway Jr. and his wife, Salina, of San Diego, Calif., and Jasen Essway of Jeannette; two daughters, Lisa Essway of Greensburg and Paula Kubistek and her husband, Steve, of New Alexandria; eight grandchildren, John Essway III, Jerrod Essway, Sierra Essway, Jasen Essway Jr., Taylor Jane Deverse, Jeremy Kubistek, Jessica Kubistek and Jenna Kubistek; five brothers, Bill Novak of Irwin, Stanley Novak of Pitcairn, John Novak of Pittsburgh, Ernie Novak of Monroeville and Al Novak of Trafford; and three sisters, Marti Gray of Latrobe, Dottie Showalter of Gibsonia and Patti Novak of Jeannette. There will be no public viewing or visitation. Services and interment

Delores M. Fetter, 67, of Ruffsdale RD1, left her earthly home to be with her heavenly father and eternal family, Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at Westmoreland Manor, Hempfield Township. She was born July 11, 1932, in Youngwood, a daughter of the late Raymond N. and Hazel Smith Proctor. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Wayne Fetter, in 1993; two brothers, Raymond A. Proctor, in 1990 and Terry L. Proctor, in 1999. She was a current member of the Armbrust Wesleyan Church. Her belief in Jesus Christ gave her the strength to survive many difficult times. She was also a member of the Golden Rod Lodge #273 of Youngwood. She retired from Quality Building Services as a cleaning supervisor at Super Valu in New Stanton. Delores will be missed deeply by those who knew and loved her. She touched many souls with her loving, gentle ways. She is survived by her very special and beloved son, David P. Fetter of Delmont; a sister, Mrs. William H. (Nancy) Lynch of Hunker; six nieces and nephews, Dale A. Proctor, R. Michael Proctor, Tammy Lynch Brooks, Roy P. Proctor, Wendy Proctor Weightman and Tracy Proctor; 15 great-nieces and great-nephews; and two great-great nephews. Included in those who were dear to her heart is a very precious cousin, who visited her faithfully during her last days, Joann Dixon of Youngwood. Estelle Louella Quick Hughes, 89, a resident of Loyalhanna Care Center, formerly of Dogwood Acres, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999. She was born Dec. 26, 1909, in Freeport, a daughter of the late Robert and Florence Erb Quick. A retired restaurant cook, she was a member of Derry VFW Post 444 Ladies Auxiliary, and a former member of Jeannette L.O.O.M. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George K. Hughes, in 1971; two grandsons, Larry Kinnan and Gene Hughes; two sisters, Irene Brown and Leona Kilgore; and two brothers, Leroy and Woodrow Quick. Estelle is survived by five sons, Ralph D. of Delmont, James A. of Pittsburgh, Thomas K. of Hatfield, Lawrence H. of Sellersville and Robert G. of Lansdale; five daughters, Louise Kinnan and Mary G. King, both of Derry, Mrs. William (Florence) Keim of Jeannette, Mrs. Clyde (Viola) Cottom of Jeannette RD, and Mrs. Joseph (Doris) Robb of Crabtree; 37 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Adrienne Reithmiller of Jeannette RD. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the MICHAEL J. QUINLISK FUNERAL HOME INC., 548 N. Chestnut St., Derry, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. F. Neal Galley officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
Ruth Virginia Harris, 76, of Bradenton, Fla., died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999. She was born in Pittsburgh and moved to Florida from Greensburg five years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Greensburg. She is survived by her husband, Donald F. Harris; a daughter, Barbara Cole of Orleans, Mass.; two sons, Donald Harris of Elyria, Ohio, and Kenneth Harris of Greensburg; a sister, Jane Susnak of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. at the West Winds Village Club House, Bradenton, Fla. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of S.W.
