Mary Dorothy DeGlau, 90, of Latrobe, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at Beacon Ridge, Indiana, Pa. She was born Sept. 25, 1911, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary C. (McSteen) Butz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, August DeGlau; and a brother, Emmett Butz. She is survived by a son, Ronald DeGlau of Greensburg; two daughters, Arlene Steel of Greensburg and Dorothy Fink and her husband, James, of Greensburg; seven grandchildren, Ronald DeGlau of Latrobe, Keith DeGlau of Latrobe, Tricia Ford of Pittsburgh, John Steel of Greensburg, Julie Winewan of Carlisle, Lt. Col. Victor Fink of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Laura Lachman of Blairsville; and 18 great-grandchildren. There was no public visitation. Services were private and interment
was held in Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh. The JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe, was in charge of arrangements.

Daniel J. Dodson, 38, of Springdale Township, formerly of Plum, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, while in Holland. Beloved son of Edward J. and Francine (Borland) Dodson. Dear brother of Jodi L. Dodson and Stacey A. Stewart; uncle of Ashley, Kaitlin, Elxis and Emily. Dan was part-owner of Break -N- Eat. Friends may call at BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME INC., 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Family suggests memorials to a charity of choice.

Anna M. Fronek, 95, of Connellsville, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born Nov. 12, 1906, in Dunbar, a daughter of the late John J. and Mary Dzvonik Hreha. Anna was a member of St. John's Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers Society. Anna was a homemaker for most of her life, but in her earlier years, she worked for the Connellsville Silk Mill and the Whistle Bottling Co. She is survived by a daughter, Dolores "Dolly" Sapanara of Connellsville; a daughter-in-law, Loretta Fronek of Connellsville, with whom she resided for many years; three grandchildren, William Sapanara and his wife, Linda, and Sharon Tajc and her husband, Jim, all of Connellsville, and John Fronek III of Pittsburgh; five great-grandchildren, Belinda Sapanara, Ryan Sapanara, Amanda Fronek, Lara Bealko and her husband, Andy, and Jim Tajc; and a sister, Margaret Alesantrino of Connellsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Fronek; a son, John "Sonny" Fronek; and a sister, Mary Kocis. Friends were received Sunday at the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 S. First St., West Side, Connellsville, where a blessing service will be held today at 11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at noon in St. John's Evangelist R.C. Church with the Rev. John Butler as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery.

Beloved wife for 24 years to George C. Hoover; loving mother of Charles J. Hoover of Richland; dear daughter of Salvatore and Dorothy Mondelli of Oaklyn, N.J. Sister of John Mondelli of Nashville, Tenn. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME LTD., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Richard Catholic Church, Dickey Road, Gibsonia. The Rev. Ken Oldenski will officiate. Interment in Mt. Royal Cemetery in Glenshaw. Survived by a daughter, Claudia M. Tomaszewski of Pine Twp.; a son, Robert D. Iseman of Australia. Grandmother of Robert, John and Daniel Tomaszewski; Laura A. Iseman and Juliet Fuller. He was the beloved husband of Donna Lee (Feola) Pietropaolo; father of Joseph Pietropaolo of Shaler, Paul Pietropaolo Jr. of Monroeville and Anthony Pietropaolo of Stanton Heights; brother of Maria Cugliari, Antonia Gullo, Antonio, Domenic, Nick and Francesco Pietropaolo and the late Caterina Scolleri; grandfather of Rebecca and Colin Pietropaolo. Celebrating Mr. Pietropaolo's life with his family in the FRANK R. PERMAN FUNERAL HOME INC., 923 Saxonburg Blvd. at Route 8, Shaler, Monday and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Raphael Church, Morningside, Wednesday, time later.

Ferne E. Pritts, 86, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, in I.H.S. of Greater Pittsburgh, Mountain View. She was born July 21, 1915, in Iron Bridge, Westmoreland County, a daughter of the late John H. and Ellen "Nellie" Fry Pritts. Ferne was a 1934 graduate of the former East Huntingdon Township High School, and of the Franklin School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, in 1956, and then graduated with honors on Feb. 5, 1958, from the Kate Estelle Koch Practical Nurse School of the Passavant Hospital in Pittsburgh. She then worked for Passavant Hospital as a registered practical nurse. Ferne was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Mt. Pleasant, and the Order of Eastern Star 383, Scottdale. Ferne is survived by two sisters, Esther Newlin and her husband, Herb, of Scottdale and Dorothy Coffman of Mt. Pleasant; three brothers, William E. Pritts of Mt. Pleasant, John B. Pritts of McMurray and Clarence G. Pritts of Scottdale; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters-in-law, Leona L. Pritts, Dorothy H. Pritts and Jean N. Pritts; and a brother-in-law, James L. Coffman. Family and friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, where service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Ronald Pritts, her nephew, officiating. A committal service and interment
will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the First United Church of Christ, East Main and Hitchman streets, Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666, in memory of Ferne. The Order of Eastern Star 383 will conduct a service Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
