Dawn L. (Porucznik) Reed, age 50, on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, in Tampa General Hospital, following a very courageous two-year battle with cancer. Born April 17, 1951, in Pittsburgh, Mrs. Reed moved to Tampa, Fla., in 1975. She was co-owner of Michael's Complete Auto Care and was Catholic by faith. She was the beloved wife of Michael Reed; loving daughter of Dolores Porucznik of Allison Park and the late Joseph Porucznik; dear sister of Patricia Smiley of Wexford. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Family to receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. WEDNESDAY ONLY in the BOCK FUNERAL HOME, LTD., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Ursula Church, Allison Park.

Zella L. Chanon Ruff, 83, of Greensburg RD11, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, in her home. She was born Nov. 6, 1918, in Perry County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ernest and Esta F. Ridenour Noyes. She had been an employee of the Hempfield School District for 35 years, and was a member of the Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, the Greensburg College Club and the Harrold Senior Citizens club. She received her B.A. degree from Capital University, Columbus, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest A. Chanon. Surviving are her husband, the Rev. Paul M. Ruff; two children, Suzanne L. Partlow and husband, Jamie, and Robert N. Chanon, all of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Frances Arbuckle of Washington, Pa., and Mary Joyce Woodburn and husband, William, of Greensburg; a granddaughter, Megan Partlow of Irwin; a sister-in-law, Louise Roberts of Dayton, Ohio; and nieces and nephews, David Arbuckle, Donna Chanon, Jean Westerman, Judy Kocinski, Jim Woodburn, Denise Brecht, Becky Carroll and MaryBeth Roberts. Family and friends will be received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Additional viewing Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, followed by services with the Rev. Robert Free officiating. Interment will follow in Harrold Zion Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harrold Zion Lutheran Church or the Lou Gehrig's Foundation. Terence L. Emedio M. "Scarp" Scarpino, age 82, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001. Beloved husband of Dorothy Blatnick; loving father of Michael Scarpino, the Rev. Dominick and wife Lorraine Scarpino, and Victor and wife Patrice Scarpino; brother of Vincent Scarpino; grandfather of Christopher, Sara, Angela, Timothy and Ronald; great-grandfather of Dominick. Mr. Scarpino was a lifetime member of the Bricklayers and Allied Crafts Local #9. He was a decorated World War II veteran who served in France and Belgium, and a member of the American Legion Post 351. Friends received Tuesday and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES, LTD./MORASCO CHAPEL, 9406 Frankstown Road (near Graham Boulevard), Penn Hills. Ann Matilda Semel, 95, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, in California. Wife of the late Joseph A. Semel Sr. Mother of Mrs. William (Katherine) Harpel of Glenshaw, Joseph A. Semel Jr. of Zelienople and Mrs. William (Margaret) Girdwood of La Mesa, Calif. Also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Fri. in St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, Zelienople, with the Rev. Charles B. Bergman, church pastor, officiating. Lea Grace Sisca, 46, on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, in Forbes Hospice. She was born in Pittsburgh on Dec. 26, 1954, a daughter of Johanna Sisca of Allison Park and the late Arnold J. Sisca Sr. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a sister, Nina Pletcher of Delaware; a brother, Arnold J. Sisca Jr. of Ohio; nieces and nephews. No visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Ursula Church on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Sharps Hill Road, O'Hara. Arrangements by the BOCK FUNERAL HOME, LTD., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. Lea worked for Dr. Carl Flecker as a dental hygienist, was the former owner of Merle Norman Studio in Allison Park and practiced law in South Carolina. Most recently, she was employed as a lawyer recruiter for Management Recruiters in Jacksonville, Fla. Roger L. Wilding, 62, on Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, in Jefferson Center Hospital, Jefferson Hills. He was born May 27, 1939, in Homestead, son of the late Logan and Jane (Mellon) Wilding. Mr. Wilding was a retired truck driver with C.J. Langenfelder in Braddock and Sciaretti Trucking in Munhall. He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton. He is survived by his wife, Maureen (Brain) Wilding; sons, Roger of Virginia, Michael A., and Andrew T. and Michael R. Wilding, both at home; daughter, Cindy Borriello and Christina Wilding, both of Glassport; a brother, Louis Wilding; sisters, Barbara and Shirley Wilding and Norma Carso; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Edward Wilding. Visitation Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the A.J. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 555 Fifth St., Clairton. Larry E. Ansell, 53, of Normalville, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. He was born March 17, 1946, in Somerset County, a son of Eleanor Ritenour Ansell of Normalville and the late Charles Ansell. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Roger Ansell. In addition to his mother, he is survived by five brothers, John Ansell and his wife, Patty, of Indian Head, Ronald Ansell of Pittsburgh, Carl Richard Ansell of Hyattsville, Md., Clifford Ansell and his wife, Cindy, of Normalville and James Ansell of Normalville; and four sisters, Sarah "Dolly" Mitts and her husband, Clifford, of Stahlstown, Barbara Sherbondy and her husband, John, of Normalville, Lillian Denny and Nancy Heidenberg, both of Hyattsville, Md. Friends will be received in the CLYDE BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., Route 711, Melcroft, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Joe Gray officiating. Interment will follow in the Scullton Cemetery.
Helen Olbrish Dabin, 78, of Second Street in West Newton, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Sept. 23, 1921, in Gratztown, a daughter of the late Walter and Sophia Olbrish. She was a member of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in West Newton and the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Miriam #1315. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Dabin; three brothers, Steve, Frank and Alex Olbrish; and a sister, Stella Daniecki. She is survived by her son, David Dabin, of West Newton; a daughter, Linda Boord, and her husband, Les, of Upper St. Clair; a granddaughter, Erin Boord, of State College; a grandson, Jeff Boord, at home; and three brothers, John Olbrish of Delmont, and Joseph and Walter Olbrish, both of West Newton. There will be no viewing. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, West Newton, with the Rev. John Regoli as celebrant.
