MONICA R. VILLAREAL
Monica R. Villareal, 76, of Latrobe, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, in Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born May 5, 1923, in San Antonio, Texas, a daughter of the late Florencio and Lucia Delgado Rangel. She was a past president of the Guadalupana Society, Cursillista, and the Charistamatic Renewal Choir. In addition to being a beloved wife and mother, she was one of the original "Rosie Riveters" at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio. She also taught the expanded nutrition program out of Texas A&M in Bear County, San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jesus "Jesse" (Chey) Villareal; six children, Jesus "Jesse" Villareal Jr. and his wife, Karen, of San Antonio, Minerva Anna "Myn" Weiss and her husband, Michael, of Latrobe, Sylvia Villareal of San Antonio, Ramona P.V. Price of Latrobe, Marie Cecilia Villareal DeLaRosa and her husband, Edward, of San Antonio, and Joel Patric Villareal of Latrobe; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ramona Ramos and Elisa Gonzales, both of San Antonio. Visitation Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent Basilica. Interment Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

NANCY GATES ZELLO
Nancy Gates Zello, 58, of Greensburg, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999. She was born Nov. 12, 1941, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Paul E. and Sarah "Charlotte" Hellein Gates. Nancy was employed at the Burger King on Route 30 east of Greensburg and had been a former member of the Harrold Zion's Lutheran Church of Greensburg. She is survived by a son, Gary Humphrey of Vandergrift; two daughters, Lisa Humphrey of Leechburg and Karen R. Fine and her husband, Matt, of Greensburg RD1; 10 grandchildren; a brother, William D. Gates and his wife, Doris, of Greensburg RD1; a sister, Mrs. Connie Bender of Greensburg RD1; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert A. Free officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillview Cemetery.

FRANK G. BUFFERS
Frank G. Buffers, 86, of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, in Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant. He was born Sept. 4, 1913, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Peter and Theresa Guido Buffers. He was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Sullivan Buffers, in 1972; two brothers, Joseph Buffers in 1994 and Paul Buffers in 1998; and two sisters, Delphina Storey in 1993 and Rosemarie Buffers in 1994. Surviving are his brother-in-law; sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. No public visitation. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 7 p.m. in St. Pius X R.C. Church, Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Michael W. Matusak as celebrant. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by GALONE-CARUSO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant.

EMMA M. BUGOSH
Emma M. Bugosh, 79, of Scottdale, died early Saturday morning, Nov. 20, 1999, in St. Andrews Village, Indiana, Pa. She was born Feb. 24, 1920, in Everson, a daughter of the late Martin and Mary Komar Pervoy. She was a longtime faithful member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Scottdale. Emma was a member of the Everson Senior Citizens organization and the Eureka Grange of Alverton. She was a retired cafeteria manager for Southmoreland School District, with 20 years of service. Emma leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted children, Judy Zuzak and her husband, Edmund, of Blairsville, Michael Bugosh and his wife, Barbara, of New Albany, Ohio, and Susan Cope and her husband, Edward, of Uniontown; nine grandchildren, Monica Pentrack, Edmund Zuzak, Beth John, Jeffrey Ferguson, Deanna Corbitt, Christopher Bugosh, Wendy Bugosh, and Mark and Justin Cope; three great-grandchildren, Michael Pentrack, Lauren Pentrack and Brenna John; two sisters, Mrs. Philip (Elizabeth) Colombo of New York and Mrs. Thomas (Irene) Hall of Paradise, Calif.; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John V. Bugosh in August 1958; a daughter, Veronica Bugosh in August 1972; four sisters, Margaret Dorchock, Rose Smith, Catherine Kennedy and Helen Bellitto; and two brothers, John Pervoy and Paul Pervoy. Emma's family will receive friends in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Scottdale, with the Rev. Emil S. Payer as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist R.C. Parish Cemetery, Scottdale. A parish rosary will be recited Monday at 2 p.m., and a parish wake will be held Monday at 8:30 p.m., both in the funeral home.

MARGARET E. BURCHELL
Margaret E. "Maggie" Burchell, 16, of Benbrook, Texas, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, at her home. She was born Sept. 22, 1983, in Mt. Pleasant. She is the daughter of Romona A. Burton Burchell, of Benbrook, Texas, and the late William A. Burchell, who passed away in 1990. She was a student at the Western Hills High School in Benbrook; was a former student at Mt. Pleasant High School and Ramsay Elementary School. She was a member and former C.C.D. student, and altar server with the St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. She had attended St. Felix R.C. Church in Freedom, prior to moving to Texas, and St. Bartholomew R.C. Church in Benbrook. She was a former volunteer worker with the Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. In addition to her mother, she is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Timothy and Julie Burton of Ambridge, William A. and Ruth Burchell of Monongahela, and Gregory and Cynthia Burchell of Turtle Creek; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Romona A. Burchell of Benbrook and Mary Ellen and Joseph Holiquin of Turtle Creek; also her maternal grandmother, Kathleen B. Donohoe Burton of Freedom; four aunts and two uncles, Arabelle Bowman of Hopwood, Agnes Steshoski of Baggs, Okla., Kathleen R. and Keith Curry of Freedom, and Gerard R. and Linda Burton of Beaver Falls; numerous cousins; and a niece and nephew. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, George W. Burton in 1997, and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Burchell. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester, Pa. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Felix R.C. Church, Freedom, with Father Leon Leitem as celebrant. A prayer vigil service will be held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

EDWARD J. CARSON
Edward J. Carson, of Brentwood, on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999. Husband of Grace Tarker Carson. Father of Sandy Dalzell, Maureen Westwood, Judy, Jeff and the late Steve Carson. Grandfather of Kelly, Amanda, Michael, Jason, Melissa, Ryan and Sean. Brother of Cliff Carson, Mary McNaughton, Dolly Harmon and the late Bud and Bert Carson. HOLLY L. CATALDO
Holly L. Cataldo, 25, of Greensburg, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a courageous battle with aplastic anemia. She was born Dec. 19, 1973, in Greensburg, a daughter of Joseph and Carol Highlands Cataldo of Greensburg. A graduate of Westmoreland County Community College with an Associate Degree, she was employed by Westmoreland Regional Hospital and was a member of Greensburg Alliance Church. Her paternal grandfather, Carmine Neil Cataldo, preceded her in death. In addition to her parents, she is survived by the love of her life, Brad Musgrove of Penn; a brother, Joseph Cataldo Jr. and his wife, Carla, of Greensburg; a sister, Christina Beranek and her husband, David, of Belle Vernon; her paternal grandmother, Ruth I. Cataldo of Greensburg; her maternal grandparents, John W. and Mayme Amour of Jeannette; a niece and three nephews, Anthony and Jordan Cataldo, and Mikayla and Jonathon Beranek; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends were received in the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette, Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Greensburg Alliance Church, Route 136, Greensburg, with the Rev. Dr. D. MARY MARGARET WISSMAN COMPTON
Mary Margaret Wissman Compton, 88, formerly of Blairsville RD4, passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at the Indian Haven Nursing Center, Indiana, Pa. A daughter of Moulton and Margaret Wissman, she was born Aug. 25, 1911, in Monroeville. Mrs. Compton taught in the Penn-Trafford School District, retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association. She graduated from Turtle Creek High School in 1930, and from Slippery Rock State Teachers College in 1932. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbur Ward Compton on Feb. 28, 1990; and a sister, Dorothy Bennett. Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the RICHARD L. SHOEMAKER FUNERAL HOME, 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville. Services will be held in the funeral home Sunday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Paul L. Carter officiating. Interment will be in Rest Land Memorial Park, Monroeville.

JEAN (JANET) L. CROWE
Jean (Janet) L. Crowe, 78, of Greensburg, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, at her home. She was born Aug. 11, 1921, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Clyde and Lillie Shrader Lute. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greensburg. Jean was an avid bridge player and enjoyed golfing at the Hannastown Country Club. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard L. "Dick" Crowe, earlier this year. She is survived by a daughter, Beverly C. Ellis and her husband, Al, of Manassas, Va.; a son, Richard L. Crowe II of West Palm Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren, Christopher A. Ellis and his wife, Amy, of Bristow, Va., Lori Diehl and her husband, Dale, of Manassas, Va., Jeffrey and Jennifer Crowe of Moundsville, W.Va.; and a great-granddaughter, Alexandria Diehl. Friends were received at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Robert C. Wilson officiating. Entombment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. Should friends desire, memorials may be placed with Westmoreland Hospice, 532 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg.

TRACY (MARTHA) EARLEY-SILBERMAN
Tracy (Martha) Earley-Silberman. Amazing and very loved wife of James C. Silberman, passed away from her pain early Friday morning, Nov. 19, 1999. She leaves her loving son, Patrick Earley of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughters, Leslie Adelsheim of Boston, Mass., and Julie Silberman of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a son, Todd Silberman of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; also surviving are her sister, Mary Kay Golomb; granddaughters, Sara and Rachel Adelsheim; two nephews; and her father and stepmother, William and Alpha Schultz of Pawley's Island, S.C. A wonderful lady with inner strength and a never-failing sense of humor who touched all our lives. Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. at H. SAMSON INC., 537 Neville St., Oakland, where a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
